The only thing I hope they do, is make that usb passthrough QR an upgrade for other Alpha bases! It has canbus so I truly cant see why you wouldn't be able to bolt it on
I like how Simagic made their active pedal shorter. Looks like it would fit the p1000s nicely. I think there will be a lot of used p1000 hydraulic brakes for sale once the active pedal is released.
Switched to the Alpha U last week, comming from a DD1. Love the Simagic experience sl far. Currently have the GT Neo and the GT Pro(k) round leather. Seeing this I now already know what my next wheel will be. Hopefully these wont set you back 1k like the Moza wheel. Or even more if you look at Asetek and Fanatec.
@ the neo for sure feels a lot weaker. The p-hpr always has to be kept at about 35% while the neo is kept at around 80% and even then the neo still feels weaker. Overall since they rumble differently, I can tell the difference between loosing traction and wheel slip due to that so in a way it’s good. I’m happy with them but if you prefer to have the strongest rumble possible, get the regular p-hpr’s.
Not so much more. If you feed too much effects in the active pedal you can't separate them and it doesn't help you anymore to understand what's going on. On the other hand I would really like to see an option for an active gas pedal where the current power level of the engine (like depending on rpm of the engine and the pressure of the turbo) changes the 'linear spring' stiffness so you can actually could feel the turbo kicking in.
When you say the Up+ is ugradable what does that mean? Is that like what VRS have introduced where you can buy a wheel base with software that has less torque and save money but you can upgrade the software later pay the difference and get more torque on the same wheel base?
Looks great - but Simagic, please ditch the orange on the zeus for your traditional red - what's the point of going for the same colour as Simucube and Asatek when red is a better colour for racing anyway!?
What's a usb pass through? I hope that means simagic are stealing the usb-quick release idea from asetek. Or doing something very similar. If that's the case I won't have to buy a FX wheel and keep using my fanatec F1 wheel.
Would like to know if the motors gonna be a big upgrade on that new wheel base as I'm gonna get the alpha with the neo and possibly the p1000s in the black Friday sale
Man...mate, I saw you at the expo, looked at you and thought "wait a minute...isn't that Jackzer?! Is it? naaaah....or yes?!".... I was so unsure because in your rig, you look a little different from the angle down below haha. Dang, next year we'll have to take a selfie!
I believe he said it was a different line/concept so there will be 2 different series of wheelbases. Alpha to continue alongside this new Evo wheelbase
It’s all very well having all these great platforms to swap wheels and wot nots, but the fact is to 99% of racers cannot afford these. Don’t need pedals and wheels, that cost the earth just more affordable kit!
Well, thankfully Simagic already offers some great wheel options in the GT Neo & GTS, with the pending Neo-X hub as the next step in that line. Then add in the new P500 pedals at a very practical price point and I'd say Simagic is working a full line of price/value options.
@@JayKBra Because use of a component in one application does not necessarily match another in a different device. - As mentioned by Tyler, the belt can dampen the otherwise "grainy" feel in the Simucube pedals that is widely mentioned in their reviews. - It's possible that the "negative" aspects of damping present for belts in FFB wheels could be a "positive" attribute in an application like this. Couple that with the better space saving design here over Simucube as another obvious benefit. - Point being that we are at the infancy of FFB pedals so I think it makes perfect sense to consider multiple solutions. It's possible that this belt concept will be problematic, but it's also possible it will be an improvement over the direct design seen in the Simcube (and Moza teasers). - Only time will tell and it's clear that reviews & early adopters will be able to relay what they get from each of these designs. But applying a blanket statement that "belts = bad" since they weren't the best long-term solution for FFB wheels is premature at best.
@@JayKBra again, you offer a rather different application that bears no connection to the use case here. - But since you ask, I have 3 cars with time belts (not chains) right now and they perform perfectly. I've replaced them at the proper distance / time intervals and never had a problem. There can be benefits to chains in this application, but I would not exclude a car that otherwise meets my needs simply because of that one difference. It's hardly a deal breaker, IMO. - Belts for power transmissions in many industries & applications are plenty common and work well (yes, even cars). They are far from unreliable or problematic to earn a "disturbing" label, but you do you.
Fanatec should watch and learn
Who is Failtec?
Finally confirmation of the pass through USB.
Hope they retain the front mounting option on the up+
Love Simagic. Switching to their ecosystem was the best decision.

I'm getting a U soon, can't wait to give it a try racing with more torque
Best in show…. 🏆
Okay....I'm switching tio Simagic... SC2 Pro for sale. These Simagic cats are kicking the fuckin door down!
Ohh lala
Just remember the money goes to Chinese government :D Simagic is Chinese company
Push-pull! Yeeessss, still miss them from my Thrustmaster F1 wheel...
Yeah I tried it its super smooth!!!!
Are you using one paddle for up and down shifting? How would one typically use push/pull?
Really looking forward to the Active brake pedal.
Aww yeah it'll be something else alright!
I want to buy an alpha u but not sure if there making new bases next year. The market for DDs seem to be there’s something new every few months.
Now THIS is modularity!
I finally added haptic motors to my p1000's and i was blown away.. Can't imagine what the active brake pedal can do!
Did you go for the regular p-hpr or the Neo version?
@ I got the regular p-hpr for the brake pedal and the neo hpr for the accelerator.

They need a complete rebrand. Their logo is so 90s.

Ah shoot, next year buddy!!!! Was a great show ay!
@@JACKZERYT yup, I really enjoyed it a lot!
Will these wheels be Simucube pro 2 compatible?
would love to know when they expect the new wheel bases will come to marked. In the marked for a 12-ish nm Wheel base
Is the new base going to be a new line and superseed the alpha range ?
I believe he said it was a different line/concept so there will be 2 different series of wheelbases. Alpha to continue alongside this new Evo wheelbase
Simagic is just insane and i will get one of their bases soon.
ps. is the UP+ a new wheelbase?
It's called EVO. Up+ is their marketing term for upgradable, so assuming you can add stuff to it down the road.
Will Zeus fit current bases?
Yes, same NRG style QR mount.
@ cool thank you
Those active pedals are 100% going on my rig lol
I knew they'd be top of your list!!!
They look like the P90. Please let that be the actual name!
Yoooo the Simagic P90
Cant front mount the new base????
There's a front mount adapter
So cool
4:30 ?????

Belt drive on the active pedal is disturbing,
Why?
We just spent a whole era escaping belts for direct drive, for obvious reasons, why would I want to put something belt driven back on my rig?

I wouldn't sell my Simucube for 10 pieces of junk from Simagic
Repear it to yourself one more time, but this time without crying 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
