Really nicely done and a good exercise.
Thank you and glad you enjoyed it. It really was a good exercise. ♥♥♥ Happy Christmas!
Wow! What’s funny is I had to do a few dishes so I couldn’t watch the last few minutes. I hear you talking about a “mistake”, I get excited to see named mistake. When I see the video again, I didn’t recognize a mistake until you pointed it out at the very end! I love this “mistake and think it balances the gold lines to the right! ❤ Excellent work, you’ve inspired me with the dark blue and white x’s! Trying it now 😂
Thank you so much, @meganerissom ! I hope your creation comes out amazing! Thank you for watching, your support and making me smile with your lovely comments! ♥♥♥ Happy Painting! ♥
Im surprised how easy are these to make - woo hoo 👏
Thank you for watching! I'm thrilled you found the process easy and enjoyable. Your support means a lot! ♥♥♥
Hi Sundayberries, I think it turned out pretty good. I’m glad to hear that you weren’t too badly affected by the storm. Dee
Thank you so much, Dee. Yeah, we were fine, although we did get some of it. ♥
Soooo beautiful!
Thank you so much! ♥♥♥
This looks great 😍 I really appreciate that you left the "mistake" in and showed that there are possibilities to work with them. This is a very valuable lesson for beginners like me. Don't give up and only decide at the end if you like it or not, I still not own that wisdom completely but I am definitely more aware of it. This whole practice is a great one to learn about watercolor painting and mark making so thank you very much for sharing this 🙏🤩
@jolovensnailart Hello and thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I am glad that the mistake made add to the video. I truly believe in showing that this is not a magical process, that we have good days and bad days, and we just need to continue on forward. Most times, mistakes can be blessings in disguise as, more often than not, they are an opportunity to learn. I make lots of mistakes in my videos, and note them, share them and hopefully it shows that it happens to us all! ♥ Soldier on my friend! ♥♥♥ Thank you so much for your comment and your support. Happy Painting! ♥♥♥
@@sundayberries I have become so frustrated about all the so called beginner friendly watercolor art videos, wich my beginner skills turned out to be are far from achieving that. This kind of practices are exactly what is so valuable for beginners to learn about watercolor and play at the same time. So thank you so much 🙏💖
I know some tutorials can be sometimes a bit challenging when we are beginners. I am glad you are finding the tutorials easy to follow and to understand. I have been thinking about tutorials for absolute beginners as well, so we can all practice the techniques and develop the skills to find any tutorial a complete breeze. But you will see that with practice, a positive attitude even during the biggest messes, you will be able to feel at ease with the medium and to trust the process. Take it from a beginner myself! ♥♥♥ Thank you so much for sharing! ♥♥♥
Definitely going to try this. Look easy to do! Thank you for sharing!!❤
You are so welcome! Hope you have fun trying this one out! ♥♥♥
I’ve done a bit of black and white photography ( through digital photo editing). The idea of transferring what I’ve learned there into watercolor is a revelation. I was watching as you balanced the values across the page, then adjusted the flow to move the eye around even better. Then doing the same with patterns. This is exciting!
I especially appreciate that you are comfortable explaining your thinking process as you work.
By the way, that section you didn’t like blended in better after the yellow tape stopped calling attention to it.
@claresunderland2633 Yes! Understanding black and white photography will help you soooo much with values and composition, and it’s awesome that you’re bringing that knowledge into your watercolor journey! Very exciting as my next video actually will be touching on value and how important it is to create a good tonal balance for the piece to work. I am currently editing that video. Hope you don't miss it! Thank you for your kind words about my thought process. Talking through it helps me too! Oh, and yes! That section did blend in better once the tape came off. It was a lesson for sure in working with issues. It’s funny how things can change when we step back. 😊 Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! ♥♥♥
Wow sundayberries, another great video! It’s amazing how stunning things look once the masking tape comes off! It’s refreshing seeing things go wrong! ❤
Hi @janwoodyer735 I know! Things like this happen more often than not! And it's quite fun to share it to show what the thinking/analizing process looks like as it happens! And while the end result may not be what we envisioned, it's well worth the process! And well, it's all part of the journey and fun of it all! Thanks for your support and so happy you enjoyed the video! ♥♥♥
I love doing these paintings. I love your work. It’s lovely 🎨💕
Thank you so much 😀 ♥
