Thank you for your excellent question! Yes, our top coat is required annually to maintain the warranty. However, PRO Hydro is no longer in production, we now only produce Hydro2.
Lemme break down why this won’t work in a business setting: having a 2 layer system means more shop time, customer waits longer and I can’t take new customers. Not only that but the first layer asks for two coats, with an hour of cure time inbetween each. I have a 6 year titanium dioxide coating that is genuinely 6 years with one layer, and a flash time of 20-25 seconds. No hours of curing, no 3 minute flash times on cold days. Your system seems built to remove as much money from the business owner in hopes they pass down the cost & benefits to the customer but the fact is, no one wants to wait 2 full days or longer to get their car back & employees don’t want to make an extra 4-5 laps around the car. Over all a waste of time.
Hi, my name is Matt. I'm a Diamond ProTech Ambassador for the USA. Thanks for your opinions and concerns about Pro60. I have found, even though it's a layered system, it is still a quick turnaround. Most Pro coatings ask for the vehicle not to be in the elements for at least 12 hours. In that scenario I would polish the car and coat it before lunch. Then it sits in the shop until the next morning. With Pro60 I can polish, coat, and return the same day. Not being familiar with your coating I can't do an honest comparison. With Diamond ProTech being the New Generation of coatings, the difference is really in the protection and not in the assumed installation time. If you feel like it wouldn't be for you that's okay. In the end it's all about finding a coating that works for your clients as well as yourself.
Is pro hydro required every year to maintain warranty or keep the hydrophobic effects?
