I have purchased diamond body pro 36 and the results are awesome. I have tested the product using hot coffee with a temperature of 40 degree Celsius and i have left rest about 1 min and then later i have pressure washed and i coukd see the hydrophobic properties and also its dust free . Good job
What a fantastic life changer product. 95% of my jobs are Rv's and by not having to wait for a day to "cure" since many Rv's are parked outside now I can take any job thanks to Diamond protech.
Just finished applying Body 36. Went pretty smoothly. Product is easy on easy off. I'm in Oklahoma 60 degrees F 45% Humidity 2018 Mercedes E300 - Polar White Decon, Polish and Paint Prep - BTW, Tunnel Washes SUCK! Previous Owner, Not me. ‘Flash’ time for me was more like 2 minutes but I was able to do it in somewhat large sections. I split the hood in three and the fint and rear ends in 2. I did each other panel including the doors as one section. So maybe 18 sections total. Took me about two hours and I used pretty much the whole 30ml bottle. It’s not super slick but it hasn’t fully cured yet and really, the protection is more important to me than slickness. Thanks for all your work developing and marketing this product. I expect a lot went into that. Looking forward to seeing how it washes and ages. Car is garaged and won’t be driven too much so I’m hoping with proper care I can get at least 36 months.
Thanks for the feedback. It definitely needs time to cure as well to see the max benefits of slickness. We understand people want to feel the slickness immediately, the way the science of this product settles is it does need a bit of time harden. Thanks for the great message!
Yes! We wouldn't recommend applying Diamond Body 36 out in direct sunlight, but if you have a covered parking space and the heat and humidity are within range you should be good to go. Do a smaller section or panel at a time to be sure the coating doesn't start to dry too quickly. Let us know how it goes! - Tony
Any pH neutral car wash soaps or rinse less wash can be used. For maintenance, you can use an automotive all purpose cleaner to help remove contaminants from the surface. We are looking into developing a drying aid. At the moment there isn't one we recommend.
@Diamond ProTech Already looking forward to try all the costumers lineup (body 36, glass, interior, leather and wheels) this upcoming spring... thanks a lot for your quick response 😉
We do not have a topper for Diamond Body 36. Diamond Quick Body is a nano-diamond hybrid coating and not a silicone formula quick detailer or spray wax. If using Quick Body as a topper on any Diamond ProTech coating, we recommend only occasional topping every 2-3 months. Quick Body stands on its own as a coating offering 6 months of protection.
Good question. If a garage is not available, you can still coat the vehicle out of direct sunlight. A covered area is always preferred. Note that being in an uncontrolled environment, the flash time will most likely be altered. Always do a test spot first to get used to the flash time based on your environment.
After 36 months you can follow the application steps and reapply. If you have any paint defects by that time you can polish those out before reapplication. For a maintenance topper, Diamond Quick Body is recommended. Follow the Diamond Body Prep steps before applying Quick Body for best results.
If the high spot has been there for that long, you will more than likely need to polish that area. If it's noticed while fresh, you can reapply a little coating to the area and wipe it off again.
There is not going to be any adverse effects, but you will not really see any benefit as well. You can tightly seal the bottle, use a bit of electrical tape around the cap, and store it for any needed reapplication jobs or if you find something else you would like to coat. The coating will last at least 6 months if sealed in the bottle.
10-15 minutes? That seems crazy long compared to other coatings. How about some specific guidance around timing relative to hear/humidity? My paint makes it impossible to see any rainbowing. That leaves me with my gut, combined with your guidance, and surface feel/tackiness. Since this coating is allegedly "different", that leaves me in the wind. Thanks!
Undrdog has similar flash time as well. On TheRagCompany channel, they coated a vehicle live and it was humid and I believe it was about 7-10 mins ready for wipeoff.
Agree with Anteekee Detailing comments, TRC live was 89-degrees and mildly humid for them so was hazing after 3-minutes. Per comments from their guest pro installers, you still have longer to wipe it off if desired. Thus work smaller panels and use better lighting to see it haze after rainbow flash.
You're absolutely right, the working time is incredibly generous. Like others have mentioned in high heat/humidity it does come down a bit, but you're never going to be chasing it. - Tony
Slick is always subjective, like anything else. Is our coating the slickest available on the market? Absolutely not. Are Diamond ProTech coatings are dramatically different from an uncoated vehicle, especially after a full cure time (up to 2 weeks) - Yes. We did not make a marketing claim that it is NOT slick - that has been some user impressions within the first few days (we suggest giving these materials full cure time, it will not be instaneaous). This product is ideal for someone who is looking for hardness, protection, ease of use, and hydrophobic properties for an extended period of time. Thanks for the question!
@@diamondprotech thanks for the clarification. The Rag Company did a podcast with some of your reps along with some questions answered and your guys reps even stated it’s not really a slick coating, that’s why I was a little confused
@@robadams6027 Sorry for the delay and thank you for your question! For PPF, we recommend Diamond Wrap instead. It's specifically designed for paint protection film and vinyl. Diamond Body 36 is recommended for any other body panels on the vehicle that are not covered in film.
I'd already purchased the DB36 as several people, including someone at TRC, had said it was fine in PPF and you'd not released the PPF product at the time. Have you found that the DB36 inhibits the self-healing properties of the PPF? My PPF seems to retain fine scratches deposits heat gun or hot sun.

Do you want to make sure that the paint is corrected first or not?
It is highly recommended to paint correct prior to install. If not you will need to polish and reapply the coating after the paint correction.
After the 36months can you reapply or do you need to polish again? Also is there any particular maintenance topper that is best? Thanks
