Hi Warren, what a guy you are,multi-tasking ,worked on a farm years ago and thought at 17year old i would change an old Dexta tractor engine saw some marks on the cogs and that,just put it down to scratches and didnt know anything about timing then,until smoke came out the breather ha ha,anyway you are first on my Lottery List and keep up the good work and wish you and family good health in many years to come.

Last fall I had a 700H Deere dozer which uses a Sauer motor with a speed sensor setup exactly like you have that was brought to me as everyone gave up on it including the dealer. The code troubleshooting sucked as theyre rather generic. The sensor picks up speed AND direction. Everything would meter out, but when hooked my old reject snap on Vantage up to it and caught the speed signal it was very noisy and erratic. Luckily was enough harness i could swap plugs side to side and see if problem followed....it didnt. Turns out the pressed on tone ring was loose inside, and got worse as the machine got hot. Almost a necessity to have an oscilloscope anymore to sample some of these signals, its a lifesaver.
You make me glad I drive a 75C no computer on the steering. As for the gloves I used to get them for 110 a case. Now it is 250 to 500 so I do a lot of shopping. Thank you for another nice video. I don`t think any tractor is as rough ride as challenger. My tracks or as I call them belts were down to 3/8 of an inch on the grousers it had no traction and beat me almost to death. I would go sliding off the hills we up here. We put used belts on it and it made a major difference in the ride. I did this project as the same time you did the work that 75C. We had to have the tension cylinders rebuilt I don`t ever want to have to do that again. I had to cut every pin out trying not to damage anything. I did figure out an easy way to reinstall them. I made a dolly with some 2x4`s and wheels and rolled the cylinders back under the tractor. Then I picked them up with a forklift.
I tried it. LOL It is easy to sit in our easy chair and say you should point the camera in the right direction! It was very easy to say, in fact I said it several times to confirm. You are absolutely correct again. Ignore those who are so critical. I find it amazing you are able to diagnose and repair so many different brands and machines. Cut yourself slack with the video’s. I really enjoy the journey.
We have a 8420, bought it brand new, just turned over 10K hours and we have never done anything other then service, tires and a few sensors. It’s like a faithful old friend, we can’t bring ourselves to trade it off!

God don't they give you the run around. I usually use a vernier depth gauge to set up Magnetic pickup speed sensors. When I have it set on your bench or ute bench I use a drop of hot wax on the set nut to keep it from moving while you install it. I think most magnetic pickup sensors have a gap of 1.0mm +- 0.20mm . You be safe in the margins. Hope you had no worries find your left and right out of the desert. You be happy making another big long coffee tmw morning. 😁🤣
I think you should drill and tap a couple 1/4-20 holes in your forehead and mount the camera there. I'm sure it would be a little painful at first, but you'll get used to it. 😁 We enjoy your videos even if we can't always see what your doing.

Maybe on startup the tractor has a critical sensor data check and if it is in a certain range to generate a fault code.
