No i would not, just notice they are very different cars with different specifications made specifically for the type of car they are. And if it was for a charity event then of course they should meet on track for donations, but that is beside the point.
its funny how people are rushing to buy the last of the GT's at their local ford dealers thinking they would sky rocket in price, hate to burst your bubble people but the current GT falcons have NO racing PEDIGREE unlike the XR XT XW XY even the XA XB GT's that had raced at bathurst so dont go fooling your self!
The So-called racing heritage only comes because the V8s we see racing bear no mechanical similarity to the road cars. How long befor we see Camry bodies racing as V8 Supercars. That should certainly boost The Camry out of the beige cardigan set into a racing heritage. All I want is a quite good handling inter capital cruiser.
Yeah that is very true but James is completely valid with his comments. Falcons strong points have always been straight line performance. Commodores have always been the better handling car. FPV's are more muscle cars than Sports Sedans like HSV's and James being a race car driver would probably prefer the better cornering car over the car quickest in a straight line.
@@EnVyRe4per the 240km/h is where the factory speed limiter kicks in.. it's so you don't go outrunning the cops.. it's even discussed in the cars manual.. my old BA XR8s kicked in at 245km/h and it was no where near the redline.. you can get it switched off via tune
4 people going hard, if has an incident imagine the press, makes it harder for every enthusiast in Australia. I don't care if it is Courtney, it's stupid.
What a crap car so many for sale and people trading up for the HOLDEN and to think not once have they had a FORD racing along real Bathurst racing cars like holden do all the time, LOL :) also not once have they had the production car race at any track to see what time it does. lol :)
7071t6 and what about that American LSA in an Aussie Holden. What an Australian car that is mate! 🤣 I’m guessing ur American and really if u were Australian ud know about how many of these are going around over here. The only reason people are trading this in is because of the mustang or the inline 6 Ford Falcons such as the F6 or the Sprint 6. Sorry to burst ur bubble but Ford actually has won this year in the Ford Falcon FG X plus all V8 Supercars are all the same mate, it’s just the body of the car that’s different. Yet ur still wrong when u say that the car hasn’t raced anywhere around a track. There’s a website called Ford forums if u would’ve done ur research but clearly u haven’t, that people post stuff about lap times they did or power figures so.... and really what’s the point of racing a car like this around a track to see what time its made when really ur probably just going to use it as a weekender car or simply just buy the car and do it yourself if u really need to know for some reason! U just keep driving ur American Mustangs and Camaros. Wait let me be like u LOL :)))))))
Well I don't know about other cars..... but I have a 2009 GT. Last year did a road trip from North Coast NSW to Uluru...…. awesome. 1st day left Tamworth 1030 am, pulled into Broken Hill right on 7pm - including 2 fuel stops and lunch break. Do the math on that! 2nd day - Broken Hill to Port Augusta - saw maybe a dozen cars the whole trip. Nice 3 hour cruise using both lanes and, allegedly, a Radar Detector. Next day - Port Augusta to Coober Pedy etc etc. I cant imagine theres a better car for that trip, the GT was just ripping...….every highway should be a 130 km/h zone !
Yeah... not many trading "up"? To a Holden. There was about 4x as many hsvs as FPVs. At the time the 335 was quicker than the old 325 pushrods of Holden. The lesser numbers of the FPV compared to the common HSV will show in the end.
God damn I love the sound of the supercharge whine
GO THE FORD... UP THE FALCON!!!!
haha, at 1:23 he's like "the car gets really light and slides, like it is now" with one hand on the wheel, nice and casual :)
hittin 200 and its like hes going down to the shop to pick up some milk
Very calm down shifts at pretty good pace I'd imagine good watching a pro do his thing ford or what ever rig he's in MAD!!!!!
Wish they sold a LHD version of this car in the states!!!
I love this vid, his very calm.. id like to see him drive a worked one of these around, not to SC standards, maybe the R spec minus its weight
The boy can drive.........that's for sure!
he was pretty much like "this thing is so shit to what i usually drive around this track" haha
Frenchy was doing that speed in72 in his GTHO, wasn't supercharged though
Back then though they were racing for sheep stations. An this is obviously a joy ride. You will notice he had racing slicks on the car.
Good looking car that can goes fast go Ford..
Woulda been so much better if it was just him and a camera not 3 other passengers....
So can i rock up too bathurst in my own road car and do this with no safety gear on too?
Close too it. It's 80 most of the way and you'd be lucky to hit that. Don't hit the curbs they send your car flying. Like hitting a rock.
the speed limit on the circuit when its not closed for racing is 60 kph, and its two way traffic. Its a public road under normal conditions.
There electronically speed limited to 250 kmh so the book says, maybe this one comes on a little early

What is that beeping noise
GregNoToast it’s the limiter, since it’s a manual. It beeps when it’s at its max redline.
@@smartey2612 Nope, Its a shift indicator sound, it beeps BEFORE the rev limiter.
Der Ser that’s what I just said no? Trust me my family has plenty of Falcons and I know them inside and out
i shit myself when im a passenger in a powerful car,i get this big adrenaline rush yet this wont happen when im behind the wheel.
and not a single fuck was given that day by james courtney
Lol "so much under steer and body roll". Yeah its not a track car mate, its a cruiser.
that would have been heat soaked to the max
Wow, you can day that for Bugatti Veyron as well or for that any car over $250k, but we are not talking that money. Compare apples with apples.

Brian Hunt Camrys are FWD atleast Commodorre and Falcon are RWD.
same goes for the commodore........
@@benschmidt3967 Now the Commodorre's in FWD.
We are not worthy.... :)
lmao only 240 my au wagon did 235
No.

His had some real bad luck hasnt he haha.
We are talking about muscle cars. Not motorbikes. Dodo bird.
Yeah he is definitely a holden guy! hahahah! he doesn't say many nice things about this car. "its not happy about stopping" "Plenty of understeer"
He's used to a V8 supercar- the Holden is heavy and weighs 100kg more.

total crap quality of video. why not give us HD?
Hi Peter, In 2010 we published to the Drive website which only supported 480p, you'll be happy to know we now publish in 4K!
