Think about it bro… big data is a result of centralised data format… so, if you were listening to what Vusi is saying, for you to get access to ‘big data’ you would have to get a consent from millions of data owners, so you are able to run your python scripts on it and visualise the results. You also have to grapple with the POPIA. So, no, big data has no place in the decentralised future.
Hey Thabang thats an interesting hypothesis. Does big data infer that it is only BIG if it is originated from a centralized source? I expect that there are already community members building applications to aggregate data across chains. Not impossible - especially if the data is volunteered by the owners (for a nominal fee) and the anonymized.

How often do you get calls from telemarketers who have access to you cell number and name without having volunteered nor gotten paid for your 'personal' information? So much insights about the future, very excited, please release the key note into a book, the world is really changing. Metaverse, decentralisation, economic wars, wealth changing hands it's fascinating, I don't think we South Africa as country are ready for it, we haven't been innovative so much so far we still stuck in the old ways, we haven't educated ourselves about how the world is changing and what to do, we are more consumers than creators. But I think we must educate ourselves about these things, adapt and be part of this big shift more especially the young generation.

I am a Kenyan however living in Rwanda and for a fact, I see a future where tech, decentralization of skills, and transfer of wealth are going to happen. I do know this because I do run a circular economy and sustainable development program where I see young people come up with systems that are not synchronized with the norms or let's say culture. Living in Rwanda and its potential I see it being one of the countries that will bring this to fruition.
I too believe that Rwanda will be and shall be the gateway to decentralization in East Africa it's already happening .Rwanda has the much needed environment to make it happen

My thoughts: As an aspiring entrepreneur running a marketing agency with interests in many ideas and topics. I have a few thoughts on the future but I want to share a dream instead..... The generational gaps right now in RSA. One, older, wise, slow to move & fearful of becoming irrelevant. The other, quick, internationally influenced, innovative but too unwise to life experience. A clash ensues, in this clash differences are ironed out and understanding/common ground found. The 2 once at misunderstanding now working together guiding one another. The wise learning to learn, the quick innovators and young learning from the stories and experiences of before. The New Africa - An economical superpower embedded with culture and modern ways. Africa has a level of culture, elderly knowledge, and young hungry people that I see no other country in the world has. If we eventually find each other, we will no doubt be an economic supergiant. Exploring space, humanity and history. Very much like the fictional wakanda.

Africa however remains challenged when it comes to the 4IR future you are talking about. Just to start with, for you to participate in the 4IR, you need a computer or a phone or a network. But we face energy insecurity in the continent. in the late 90's, Nigeria was already experiencing load shedding. Let alone households in the continent which does not have access to electricity and by extension data network. We should be ahead of ourselves as a continent. Before we can go to that future, we need to prepare the ground properly.
I would suggest a journal not a book. Also l think one of the important message coming out of this is directed to the youth people, to say let's refocus our perspectives and shift our gaze to were real opportunities are imaging.

I agree on the proliferation of wealth is coming, though wealth retention strategies and infrastructure aren’t readily available. I can gain a million now but I might not have a system to compound my million without bleeding money. Full proof plans are hard to formulate and maintain - nonetheless stay ready, the world is healing and money making platforms are growing.

Dear Vusi Please release the book, there are many you will inspire. It will be limited because internet access is still restricted in some ways in Africa. Getting past governmental ideologies would mean that Government schools would have to be on the same level as ''Private Schools''. I do believe that the future of Africa lies in the quality and type of education the current generation receives. I think a book based on the these themes/topics covered in this video will be outdated within 6 to 12m of publication based on how fast things change around us. What would be more valuable is an online resource that is constantly updated with the latest information based on the themes to be covered in the book.

I agree please release the keynote into a book. Maybe if I share a bit of my background and what I have learnt so far and what I need to do to start my own business. I have a masters I finance and Investments went and worked for a management consulting firm. The projects I haven been on, the common thing between then as different as they are is the move to cloud and data and proving you have the skills versus the degree ( I never thought I would could but I'm fluent in 3 languages an managing projects for delivery). So I just wanted to stress that in our eravyou can't stop studying and if you in a company that trains, train as much as you can even if not related to your degree. I am hoping to solve a problem to as I know Morey follows solutions.

Brilliantly delivered Mr Vusi. Our world will be a beautiful place if these ideas came to fruition. I have two concerns. One has to do with giving out access to our data and closing it. Second, which is the major and your 3rd idea. Socially constructed and coordinated decisions. This to me sounds utopian. Already, there are rights (to a certain degree), but humans have found a way to manipulate the systems so that there is a system that rewards the few against the majority. I would love to read the book to understand these ideas better.

Please release the book, there are many you will inspire. It will be limited because internet access is still restricted in some ways in Africa. Getting past governmental ideologies would mean that Government schools would have to be on the same level as ''Private Schools''. I do believe that the future of Africa lies in the quality and type of education the current generation receives. Africa is the future, as we know it, but the governments of Africa are holding it back. I would really appreciate a lunch meeting to discuss some ideas. Best Regards Bryan Poonsammy

Interesting perspective about the future - Brillant!!! A reality we cannot deny...Yes, absolutely into a book however make it a virtual book as well as well that is accessible to everyone, or anyone expand into platforms where we can all partake in its constructs with real live interactivity.
I think a book based on the these themes/topics covered in this video will be outdated within 6 to 12m of publication based on how fast things change around us. What would be more valuable is an online resource that is constantly updated with the latest information based on the themes to be covered in the book.

I agree please release the keynote into a book. Maybe if I share a bit of my background and what I have learnt so far and what I need to do to start my own business. I have a masters I finance and Investments went and worked for a management consulting firm. The projects I haven been on, the common thing between then as different as they are is the move to cloud and data and proving you have the skills versus the degree ( I never thought I would could but I'm fluent in 3 languages an managing projects for delivery). So I just wanted to stress that in our eravyou can't stop studying and if you in a company that trains, train as much as you can even if not related to your degree. I am hoping to solve a problem to as I know Morey follows solutions.

Brilliantly delivered Mr Vusi. Our world will be a beautiful place if these ideas came to fruition. I have two concerns. One has to do with giving out access to our data and closing it. Second, which is the major and your 3rd idea. Socially constructed and coordinated decisions. This to me sounds utopian. Already, there are rights (to a certain degree), but humans have found a way to manipulate the systems so that there is a system that rewards the few against the majority.
I would love to read the book to understand these ideas better.
