    This is a revelation to me. After 40 years of seeing a chiropractor to release this i am so amazed to learn about pandiculation. I always wanted to empower myself to feel better and this is amazing.

    Thank you so much. I’ve had this issue for about 15 years, stemming from a contralateral groin pull and the bad posture that followed from guarded gait to compensate.
    I used pandiculayion to fix tennis elbow and it was amazing. Hoping I can recover postural function with this, as well.

    Right on, Sarah. I've been doing your level one online program for a few weeks now and I've already made a lot of improvement in evening out my hips. Keep it up!!

    I wish there was more help offered for those of us who have a true structural leg length discrepancy … my right femur is one inch longer .. this caused me to get injured at age 17 and rupture my ACL .. my entire life has been full of severe pain and injuries because no one helped me diagnose this until I was 29 … I was given steroids for pain for decades which caused diabetes …literally this issue has ruined my health in so many ways … I hope people get a good diagnosis to find out if it is structural or not.

      Hi Kelly,
      I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. Clinical Somatics exercises may still be helpful for you, since you've had to adapt your posture and movement to your leg length difference. If you want to try some exercises, here are a couple to start with:

    Yes, the Side Curl has helped me a great deal in fixing my FLLD. Your proprioceptive exercises in Level 2 have helped a lot too, and the psoas release. I really always thought my legs were different lengths - it's so crazy that it was just my muscles making it seem that way. I'm pretty sure it started when I broke my ankle and had to be on crutches for a while in middle school.

    I feel worried because even though my right hip is higher and tighter, the right leg is the longer leg. So if my hips were to even out, wouldn't it make the leg even longer?

    • @somaticmovementcenter
      @somaticmovementcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Stephanie,
      Your right leg appears to be longer because your tight muscles are hiking that hip up. When you release those tight muscles and your right hip lowers back down to where it should be, your legs will appear to be the same length (as they actually are! assuming that your discrepancy is functional). You can read this article for more information: somaticmovementcenter.com/uneven-leg-length-the-myth-of-uneven-leg-length/

    Mines longer, structurally, post hip replacement….will this help me? I’m about 1.5cm longer on operative leg

    • @somaticmovementcenter
      @somaticmovementcenter  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Blake,
      Yes, Clinical Somatics would still be helpful for you. When your legs are structurally different lengths, you compensate by shifting the alignment of your entire body. This can result in chronic muscle tension and damaging posture and movement patterns. Clinical Somatics allows you to become aware of those patterns, release muscle tension, and retrain your posture and movement. Depending on the negative effects you're experiencing from the leg length difference, a lift in one shoe may be a good idea (this is not something I recommend when the leg length is functional).

    Why is it when Im in a fetal position or sleep on my side for few minutes and do that (lift my leg up sideways) in quite sudden manner or even slow, something clicks! The sound is loud enough to be heard by anyone near me. It happens to both legs but most especially on my left leg (the leg I feel that is shorter :( ) it does not hurt all all but it's not normal and it's gives me a restless feeling until it clicked. I feel like the sound is from my pelvis or somewhere my butt :'( please any advice?
