I did al lot of exercises including yoga to stay fit. Somatic movements are quite different and wonderful. Your videos in online course have given me a ray of hope with regard to muscle stiffness of my back and legs.I think 99% of our physical problems are a result of muscle tension. If I could have learnt these movements years ago !!! Really a unique theory it is to release all our musle tension. Only one thing has to keep in mind while doing these somatic movements is to have patience. No doubt patients with different muscle tensions and even having high/low blood pressure will get positive results if these become a regular part of their daily routine.

My first week in and I already feel different. I also relaxed in the gym between some movements. I mean my muscles seem to have a third shift. So contact, release and then a wonderful sensation of full release - I call relax. I'm excited about this. CFS for 2 decades, my body needs some lovin!

I read your article on this and have been applying this advice to my practice. Learning from my better side has been especially helpful!!

I teach somatics in the U.K. although somatics is still not recognised as it is in other parts of the world like USA. I put this down to us having NHS which is free unlike private practices. However I love teaching, it s my passion but I always enjoy listening to your teachings as there’s always more and more we can absorb & learn. I would luv to watch some of your work on wrists to shoulders as I have problematic knuckles which tighten everything in the arm making an un level tabletop position when teaching ( I have hemochromatosis which have effected my joints) mist grateful
