Thanks for this video, although the most important part - the prying/hitting of the axle to disengage the snap ring you didnt show. Its unfortunate you took the time to make this great video and then skipped over the part where most people will struggle. On a 2003 Accords, there is no way to pry the axle because you are prying against sheet metal. You must access it through the where it mounts to the half shaft and hit it with a large screwdriver or punch. This part can be very tricky and difficult if the car is not on a lift. FYI....

Thank you for your visual. It assisted me w/ changing my clutch on my 2003 5 speed Accord. For specs, the axle nut is 36 mm on mine and torque to 181 ft-lbs.

No one lets the brake calliper hang like that --this guy doesn't know what he is doing. Fix 1 thing break another is every mechanics worst nightmare.

I find the best and easiest thing to do is to stick a bucket in there upside down. This makes a nice little table which you can set the caliper on without putting tension on the hose.

Old video, but do you have a link or part number for this driveshaft? I have a 6-speed v6

I can't get the transaxle side of the axle to pop loose. Any advice? I have an 05 ex sedan. I don't see how to pry or knock against the axle from the inside. There's like no access. Are you using your screw driver like a prybar or a chisel? :-(

You could have opened the axle nut by putting the tire back on and all u really need to remove is the nut at the bottom and the one that looks like A. And never hand the caliper like that. You will break the brake line. Worst part of video, you skip over the part that everyone wants to know how, removing the axle from transmission. What a shame.....

You took too much off. Look at wtbm123, more simplified. Just replace to axle seal prior to re-install for peace of mind.
