      The shortcut key for the location and rotation of the object is k, but for the material keyframe the shortcut key is i. This is on blender 4.1

    There are a lot of Blender animation tutorials in the TH-cam. They tell you what to do step by step. But this video actually EXPLAINS why you are doing each step. That is why this video is unique and precious.

    Ryan,
    I would like to commend you for creating these Blender tutorials. As a beginner I find them enjoyable and informative. You clearly explain what it is you are trying to accomplish. You then also clearly explain how it’s done. What I especially like is that these Blender tutorials are more than just a quick movie recording of the button & menu selections required. If what is being discussed requires several parts that’s what you do. Keep up the excellent work.
    Regards, George

    If you can't see the keyframes in the shader timeline (15:58) - I had the same issue. Just make sure to select both the object (cube) and the node in your shader view (magic texture) and your keyframes appear.

      @@rubysmith5007 The Problem I had, was me forgetting to highlight the object I wanted to manipulate in the shader view.
      So you basically just have to click on your cube and then on the node in the shader view.
      The shader view always shows the nodes of the currently selected object.

I just had a 3D improvised .blender of our company's warehouse and when a colleague joked about making a "gamification" of a warehouse for on-boarding newbies I just could not resist the urge to troll 'em by animating a camera flying around the racking and diving inside a bay. I always thought I was doing something wrong because my animations don't have a keyframe on every single frame of the timeline like the rigs from exported Sims 4 animations. Turns out, I was technically doing it right, it just takes a lot of practice and time reviewing the animation and timing. Thank you for not only reassuring me, but also teaching me exactly WHAT I'm doing, this video was priceless. :)

    Other people have already said it, but I'll say it again - there's tons of blender tutorials out there, but you are a rung above the rest. I'm grateful for all the free content that's out there, and you can usually find how to do something specific if you do enough digging. But most of them don't really capture the essence of actually teaching a skill. With your videos, I can actually visualize how I can apply the content to things that are tangentially related. Being able to explain things in that way is a skill that not many people have. I feel like blender is gonna really blow up over the next few years as it gets more and more features (and people get more and more pissed at autodesk), and I hope you are able to ride that wave and flourish!

    Just started learning blender animation to proof to my friend that Learning it is easy (I'm kinda racing with him to see who can make an animation with our own Character first. Wish me luck!). This tutorial is very detailed and reliable. And the best part of all, its COMPLETE. From making that cube exist to making it moves, and all the way to Exporting the animation. I really thought Blender is just a 3D object modifier (I didn't know it has a video editing section tbh. Thanks for saving my time form having to put the frame one by one in Premier Pro :P ).

    Brilliant tutorial. Just a quick note on the video editing. When selecting the frames, set the folder to display from date modified. When I selected all (A) the first time around it made the video in reverse. But again, brilliant tutorial. I now know a fair bit more than yesterday.

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ahh yes, I don't think that was an issue in Blender back when I made this video. Yes, if you don't set the frames to sort by time, or name, then it will play backwards. 😄
