I'll share what I can here, and maybe more if I can make a yt tutorial- I use the multiply layers to 1: get the colors to fit the background and 2: make the glow dodge overlays pop- More layers of multiply overlays are used for cell shading and darkening areas furthest from the light- I use a glowdodge overlay to raise certain parts of the characters and add depth, like parts of their eyebrows, eyes, Talons, etc; I use another glowdodge overlay to draw soft lines from where the light is coming from, and another that touches the lineart as a rimlight- I try to make sure that the picture isn't too dark, and if it is I lighten the multiply overlays and add more glowdodge ones- :]
