Woodturning Sleighbell Inspired By Ornament Challenge

Taking inspiration from an ornament by Denis in the 2021 Christmas Ornament Challenge, I tried to turn a similar ornament. I failed.
So, back to the computer to layout my plan and work out the details. Then off again to the lathe to turn it for real. The birch is from a dead tree in my front yard that I cut down a year ago.
I split it in half so I could hollow from both sides instead of through one small hole in the back.
I just had to remember to put a marbe inside before gluing it all together.

I like this project. I wonder what it would sound like to add a little sheikh bell or 2 instead of the marble. The marble sounds good. Might be a bit more surprising with the actual bell. I’ll add this one to the memory files.

Not seeing the original ornament I thought that doing two halves and joining them would be the way to go. I like your process and flow. Did you already have the bandsaw jig or did you make that just for this project? Great verse at the end!

The original is in the Ornament Challenge. It turns out that he did his in two halves also.
I have a couple of band saw jigs: straight cuts & angle cuts.
