this turned out so well!! accidentally, i melted the butter instead of softening and it still turned out really well! and because im a chocoholic, i added about a 1/2 cup of hersheys cocoa unsweetened powder and it was so good🤭
I made these at home and they turned out good but I added an extra 1/2 cup flour and I set my timer for 10 minutes at medium heat (maybe 180 Celsius) I am a baker so maybe they made it easier for me to see that this recipe would only work with these alterations. I hope it helps someone 😊
This recipe is great and easy. I followed all the instructions except I took the cookies out at 8 minutes because they looked too brown and they were perfect!!! I am so pleased with the results. I thought the oven temp was wrong but I’m glad I followed the directions and watched the cookies.
Also the amount of chocolate does matter. I tried a second batch with less chocolate and they were more puffy than spread out but the flavor was still good. I put a lot of chocolate in the third batch and it was like the first.
I'm not sure what everybody else did to make their cookies come out so bad but lemme give yall this holy grail comment. First of all you HAVE to refrigerate for 2 HOURSS !! They're going to go flat in the oven if they're room temp. Second of all bake them at 350 not 450, somebody commented that it was a typo and the creator liked it soo im guessing that's them confirming also wanna add to bake them until the edges turn brown, for me that was 15-20 ish minutes. Thirdly use half the amount of salt, my bf said they weren't salty but I wanted a sweeter taste overall.
@@elizabethw4706what do you mean by sprinkle? But the recipe only calls for salt once. If you want, you can add 1/2 tsp of salt instead of 1 tsp like the recipe calls for. That’s what I’m going to do and refrigerate them overnight and bake them in the a.m. Hope that answered your question even though I wasn’t sure exactly what you were asking lol.
I just made cookies following this recipe ..its so good... but i didnt bake 450f° .my oven in celsius .. so i baked it 175c° 15 minutes ....i love this recipe ❤❤❤

I can tell you used the cup method at the end to get them looking so perfectly round, especially since you spaced them way too close together on the cookie sheet
I followed the recipe but when it came to finish the dough it was still so runny. I added 1/2 to 1 cup cornstarch, chocolate chips and pecans. They still were not dry but a little runny which was ok cause I set in freezer for 2 hours. I also set on 350 for 14-15 mins. I kept watching through the door to get that perfect caramel color. Umm, I kinda like my cookies with brown and white sugar and 1 cup is a little bit to much. So I did 1/2 cup of white, 1/3 cup of brown. Since I think that it's way to sweet for my family but also, you can also follow the original recipe if you like sweeter cookies! Hope this helped❤
I had to add an extra 1/2 cup of flour to stop these cookies from running/coming out flat (yes, I put them in frige for 2 hours). Also had to bake at 350 not 450 for about 10 min. Very disappointed by this video but happy I was able to salvage all of my ingredients and actually do something with this.

Worked so well the cookie dough batter tasted so good but the video says 450. It is actually 350 and you should soften your butter so it’ll stir in better. You should also chill in French for an hour and a half to two hours and bake for 15 minutes to 20 minutes

I doubled up making mine lol think I added too much baking soda, which came out nice and thick, with a gooey center and nice crust to the cookie appearing almodt slightly burnt but actually perfect. 😅 yummy! 🥰 i set my temperature to 440° and only 7-8 minutes

450? Or was that a typo? Isn't it usually 350°F?
I think its meant to cook the outside faster so its a little crunchy and the inside is chewy

Ingredients:
Butter
Flour
Light brown sugar
White sugar or cane sugar
Eggs
Vanilla Extract
Salt
Baking Soda
Instructions:
Add 1/2cup of butter(one stick of butter and soften it)
With 1/2 white sugar(or cane sugar) into a bowl
With 1cup of light brown sugar and mix until it forms a dough(don’t over mix)
Get a separate bowl and crack one egg and pour 1 tsp of vanilla and beat it
Pour it in the dough you made and mix it until becomes kind of like your grandpa’s oatmeal
Sift into a bowl 1 tsp salt 1 1/4 cup flour and 1/2 a tsp of baking soda and when your done sifting it into a bowl pour your dry ingredients into your dough and mix until it forms a dough
Add as much chocolate as you want but I recommend you don’t add too much or you get cookie in your chocolate instead of chocolate in your cookie
Freeze in refrigerator for 2 hours or at least 30 minutes
When it’s time to take it out of the fridge roll it into balls or use an ice cream scooper to put it on your pan but before putting it on your pan but Tin foil on it or parchment paper so it stays clean and doesn’t stick to the pan
