- Zanzibar is a tropical island off the coast of Tanzania. The island has the most beautiful white beaches and sights in all of Africa. In this adventurous video, we take a trip as a family to this dream destination. First we fly from Tanzania to Zanzibar, then rent a car and visit the absolute highlights in this video: Nungwi Beach, Paye, Stone Town, Kendwa Beach, Jambiani, Mtende and Eden Rock. Before this you saw us in Asia and after Zanzibar we will cross over to the mainland to go on Safari. We go by jeep past all the animals through the most beautiful nature and also rent a camper to drive through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. We also visit Mauritius and Reunion by plane!
We make our journey through Africa during a world trip of one and a half years. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines . Zanzibar and Tanzania are already destination number 21 on the big trip. We have also been away from home for a year. Follow us on this world tour, first in Tanzania, from Zanzibar to the safari parks on the mainland and then to many more beautiful destinations in Africa! I live in Zanzibar but we can't afford to go to beach, I go every year once we leave village (fuel expensive) really love.

The hotel last worked at denied staff to enter ocean it was only for tourist. Just in case you wonder why hotel staff never swims etc. not allowed

Wir waren im November in Kenia.
Kenia, Diani Beach ist auch ein wunderschöner langer weißer Strand.
Wir haben von dort eine 3 Tages Safari nach Tsavo East und Amboseli gemacht.
Auf Sansibar waren wir noch nicht, können Diani Beach aber auch sehr empfehlen,vor allem in Verbindung mit einer Safari.

By the way, how did you manage your camera gears? I will be on a long trip to Zanzibar in November then to Germany and Istanbul before heading back home in January. Lots to carry for the trip and trying to pack my camera gears too for the trip ensuring sufficient but not overloading… are you using a zoom lens? How do you manage capturing so many beautiful pictures? I am very impressed with the video quality and it’s colour!

If you guys love beautiful African islands, I hope you're aware of Sao Tome and Principe. As Zanzibar is a beautiful sand island (for lack of a better term), Sao Tome and Principe are mountainous volcanic islands with the intermittent beautiful, and untouched, white sand beach. Banana Beach, for example.

Great drone footage and I'm curious on bringing one into Tanzania. I'm heading to Zanzibar in a few weeks and have a DJI Mini, thoughts on whether licensing is needed for a drone under 249 grams.

Zanzibar is really gorgeous. The only thing it lacks compared to Mauritius or Seychelles are the hills and mountains.

I don’t drive. I wonder where is the best place to stay where you have some guesthouses and restaurants, but also some wild beaches with coconut palm forests that one can walk through and that could be reached on foot.
You have shown that Zanibar is an out-of-the-way destination with truly wondrous white sand beaches and many gradients of turquoise-blue water.
If one compares Zanibar to Sao Tome and Principe in Africa, then in French Polynesia, its like comparing the Marquesas to Bora Bora. They're both astoundingly beautiful, but one set of islands is for beach-loving tourists (Bora Bora), and the other set of islands are for those who prefer wild (romantic) and remote places.

Hi and thanks for your comment! Yes I would definitely recommend this place. We arranged the airport transportation with the hotel. Unfortunately it's hard to say what the price wil be to stay there, because it's fluctuating everytime. You should have a look at Booking.com for example.

@@christinakaindl4423 I would also be interested to know how you went about importing your drone. Were there no problems? I read everywhere that it has to be registered via tcaa. I have already contacted them, but the costs for registration are absolutely disproportionate and far too expensive.

Hi Fredlock! Prices change all the time, due to seasons but also over time. So it wouldn’t be any good to anticipate on them. I rather name the places, so you can look them up at the right time 😁👍🏻

Zanzibar CAN be expensive. It depends on which hotel you book etc. To us, it was not so expensive.
