    ★ Full Sonos Arc Surround Sound System Review: • Full Sonos Arc Surroun...
    The Sonos Sub Gen3 is one of the newest additions to the Sonos line up. It is very similar to the almost 8-year-old Sonos Sub Gen2, but with a few slight improvements!
    The Sonos Sub Gen3 complements all of the Sonos soundbars very well! I use it with my new Sonos Arc, and it completely enhances everything about the Sonos Arc.
    Basically, the Sub takes over almost all of the low-end audio and lets the soundbar focus on the mid-range and high frequencies.

    Happy to see you mentioned your problems with a Nakamichi system… After trying for about three weeks starting Thanksgiving .. I experienced the same popping and drop out due to the wireless sub.
    Technical support was excellent and they even sent me a new sound bar but it did not rectify the problem… So I returned the whole system which I had purchased on Amazon. once I get a new TV to replace my eight year old Visio I will revisit adding a sound bar. I will have to listen to the Sonos set ups live prior to making a decision… Due to the cost

    Good quality review on the gen3 sub. My current 2.1 setup right now is the gen3 sub, sonos amp, and a pair of KEF R3s. I’ve always thought about upgrading my sonos amp, but the gen3 sub just blends sooo well with the sonos amp specially on music. That sub is the only thing preventing me from upgrading my amp.

    The drivers move in sync to cancel out vibrations (both out or both in), if they moved the way you describe at 2:32 they would be out phase and cancel each other out and you wouldn't hear anything. It would also increase vibrations if they moved in the same direction.
    Here's a great explanation of a similar setup th-cam.com/video/kI1zh6coDh0/w-d-xo.html

      Having the sub's cones move out and in together but in opposite directions is what cancels out any vibrations.

    • @Sinestor043
      @Sinestor043 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know your post is a year old but if you're still deciding on a good router...The Orbi WIFI-6 Mesh router system (3 Piece). PERIOD! NEVER had anything cut out on me while using. A LiL pricey but you get what you pay for, just like the Sonos sound. My whole house is practically Sonos based and I love it! Basement: Sonos Playbar Sub Gen2 and 2 One's SL, Living room: 1 Play 5 and 2 One's SL No Sub (Use for Music Only and sounds Great!), Kitchen: 1 OneSL, Guest Room: 1 OneSL, Media/Game Room: Have on order: Beam Gen-2 and Sub Gen-3 to go with my new LGC1 65 Inch. Reason for the Beam Instead of the Arc? The Media/Game Room size is big enough for the LG 65inch but not for the Arc. Had my Playbar connected in that room and switched it to the Basement because I was not getting the full potential of my Playbar system in that LiL 10 x 12 Room. The sound difference bet the Media/Game Rm and the basement was Night n Day. The Beam & Sub will be perfect for that LiL space.

    You are wrong on the drivers. They move towards each other. If they were to move the way you described it would make even more vibrations.

    What a great reviewer, thank you very much.
    Please, do you think these sound bars with their subwoofers, example Samsung, sonos etc for home theatre are capable to out perform a home theatre system that has bookshelf, centre speakers and a subwoofer not necessarily from the same manufacturer? For short, do you think home theatre system made out of sound bar could meet the sound quality greed (particularly bass) for audiophiles?
    I'm not really an audiophile but an audio-enthusiast with an insatiable greed for earth shaking punchy bass.

It sucks when you cant just watch youtube vidoes on your latest Android phone with sound coming from the arc. I have a LG C9 and thus earc and dolby atmos as well. Peter Pee rocks. However, even though there are some slight performance differences(very slight) between the Gen3 and Gen2, he feels that the Gen 2 might appeal to more people because it has a slightly better and consistent arc above 40mhz. The Gen 3 has better performance below that down to 20mhz.

    Have the Beam and two One's with the sub on order. I am curious if anyone knows how the wifi is actually used in this setup... In my situation I have the system setup using the hotspot from my Verizon tablet. There is NO other option. My question is, what piece of hardware is responsible for sharing all of the sound info as it plays? Is my tablet essentially a LAN or hub and if so is it sharing data locally or is it using up data by negotiating the sound on a server somewhere then yeah... Someone draw me a picture please.

I've just picked up the sub gen 3 and two SL's for rear speakers this week, can't wait to get the arc now and set it all up.
