Glycerin 21 sell well at our shop. It’s a shoe you put on your foot and forget about it so you can concentrate on running and breathing so you don’t die 😂 nothing fancy but it’s reliable and when people try on other shoes like Nimbus, Triumph, 1080, etc most end up going with the Glycerin.
Funny titles, Shoe Analysis, Bird Nature commentary, and running inspiration. 🔥. Keep it up bro! I've been wondering if you were gonna give the Glycerin a chance.
This is my wife's go to shoe for the last several years. She didn't love the 21 and stockpiled at least 4 pairs of the 20s (that I know of; she probably has a few more stashed) when they went on markdown.
I believe these are an excellent choice for runners dealing with plantar fasciitis. Not only do they offer great support and comfort, but the white and grey color combination is also incredibly stylish!
The Brooks Hyperion Max 2 has been out on Brook's website for a few weeks but I haven't seen a single review from any of the shoe-tubers, hope you review it soon and let us know if it's too firm like most the other Hyperion line or have they finally brought the squish more like the SC trainer. I tried a ton of shoes yesterday at the running store, absolutely loved the Hoka Skyward X but here in FL in the summer that upper is going to be way too hot so I'm holding out for the Superblast 2, SC Trainer 3, Invincible 4, or even the Ghost Max 2
I've been running in Ghost 15s, and they're great, so I just got a pair of Ghost Max. I ran in them for the first time yesterday, and they felt really good. For whatever reason, Brooks seems to work well for my persnickety feet. I had considered the Glycerine before deciding on the Ghost Max.
Brooks is the #1 shoe I see on people's feet at my races..I like to see what other people are running in and probably 50% are brooks, 30% hoka,15% sprinkling of NB-Saucony-On-Nike-Adidas..less than 5% are super shoes or high end trainers..one of my friends has an vaporfly that I saw her race in one time and she was embarrassed by wearing it..I never saw it again..back to the brooks and her and husband were pacing the 3hr group at last weekend marathon..nice discussion..😊
Your timing is incredible, I literally purchased the Glycerin 21 Stealth yesterday. My recovery day shoes have been the invincible 3, which I have 2 pairs. I wanted something lighter and tried the rebel V4 but it just bottomed out on me. Returned it and got the glycerin. Haven't ran in it yet but it's been comfortable to walk in so far. Initial step in felt great and a quick in store jog felt nice . Colorway gives off strong dad vibes, makes me want to buy a corvette.... Planning to do a short 5k in the glycerin in the morning, hoping it hits that sweet spot for me. Speaking of plated, I'm rocking the x2 strung and love it other than the bottom heavy feel. That X2 strung is just silly how good it feels. *** Just got back from the first run - shock absorption is great, nice roll through. Not as bouncy or fun as the Invicible, but more stable ride and felt lighter and quicker. I was able to pick up the pace decently without feeling the shoe fight me. The stealth upper on mine is very comfortable. I did feel a little bit of arch like it might be too much for super long runs, but we'll see how it breaks in.
I just ordered the Ghost Hyperion Max 2. We shall see how they feel on foot when they get here in about a week. Totally different than v1 based on what I've seen.
I've had 17, 18, and 20, the 17 and 20 were long run shoes for marathon training cycles. The 17 was soft but mushy, not versatile. The 18 was firmer but still excellent cushioning, and the 20 felt the same to me. Glycerin is very comfortable for walking, and because of its stability it's also my trail shoe for light-moderate trails. I sense the 20 on sale for $100 is a better value than the 21 at $160, but I haven't tried the 21.
Had the 20’s (big discount and not much different than the 21s, same V3 foam) for a couple of weeks and the drop feels high to me but the foam is softening up and I think it will be a good long run cruiser.
Picked up the Hoka Skyflow on a whim (haven't tried the Mach, but have enjoyed Skyward X and several Clifton iterations quite a bit), and it was such a pleasant surprise!! Definitely in that upper end $160 daily trainer category, but one I can justify. If you do grab a pair, would love to hear your thoughts 👍 Have a great family vacation! ☀️
There is Hoka Skyflow in that price range which you haven’t covered yet. If Brooks Ghost Max drops in price when Max 2 comes out I will be tempted to buy a pair.
I definitely wouldn't rule out Brooks because, based on my experience with the Hyperion Max, they know how to make a durable, comfortable shoe. I appreciate that you mention that you can really feel the 10mm drop on this shoe. I've been thinking about your discussion of bias and the shoes that do 90%+ from the previous video and I think it doesn't hurt for all of us to reflect on our own bias. You tend to get pretty salty about high end shoes that don't work for you (Superblast, Neo Vista) but you give a pass to those that do (Skyward X, anything from On). I've noticed that I am biased towards tech. I would balk at paying $170 for the Hyperion Max even though it does close to 100% of what the Deviate Nitro does for me, but it's just EVA with no plate. The Neo Vista is working well for me so far but, honestly, I could probably get 90% of what I get from that shoe from a big cushioned shoe like the Nimbus. Having said that, there is the novelty of being a shoe nerd and trying different shoes that is part of the hobby of running, almost as much as the run itself. Pardon the long comment. Also, we get crows and parrots and the parrots are way more chatty. :)
Just had a super wet run in the SL 2 rubber was great not as good as puma or continental rubber but if adidas puts continental they will have for sure the greatest daily trainer ever
Amazing dude thanks for the update 🙏🏽 we weirdly haven't had any rain in like two weeks so I haven't had a chance to test them in the wet yet. So that's great to hear. I had a similar experience with the Boston 12 - SL3 with continental would be 🐐
Video recommendation, how to make a shoe rotation. This is something I am struggling with currently. I picked up the nova blasts recently my longer runs but looking for a lower mileage/speed, recovery, and race day shoe.
I have this shoe and like it , mom’s know best :-) I am getting over a 100 miles on my pair and the pep definitely going down and I am a bigger runner and strong and notice the forefoot flattening down some… hopefully get 300 plus miles but at 6’1” and 200 lbs and built like a pile a bricks I often crush down foams a bit faster than most runners .
im will be waiting for your 100miles review on this one i also bought glycerine 21 GTS, it really is such flat shoes at the start but when you accumulate miles on it you will appreciate more
Hey Yo do you have any opinion on midsoles that feel similar to this one for use as a workhorse easy pace/long run shoe (12-15 miles for me) but with a lower drop? I'm loving the Hyperion 2 for faster paces, so I'm thinking I would love the related foam in this one for that other use case, and I'm considering buying this (diggin' that frost grey/champagne colorway) or the glycerin 20 for ~$60 less, but I'm worried about the 10mm drop as right now I like 4-6 more than a higher drop. Would you say real feel on this one is more like 6-8mm, or is it a straight up 10 piece?
I want to get a soft max cushion shoe. Everyone's saying the 1080 v13 is the one and i already have the Invincible 3. But i only buy running shoes on sale and 1080 v13s dont go on sale. Thinking about picking up the New balance More V4.
If only they lowered the drop in the glycerin 21 which therefore increases the foam in the forefoot, it would have been perfect! Guaranteed. 6mm is the sweetspot
Did you know a group of crows is called a "murder" be careful out there....I like the glycerin GTS 20 better than the 21s. For some reason it's harder to get the non-GTS glycerin around here. I have a feeling they think the GTS is better for you....I'm still not sure.
This title bro 💀💀

I’m glad I recently found this channel. Love the content. It’s treadmill season here in Phoenix so I’m loving the long vids.
Ayyy glad you found us 🙌🏽 happy to have you here. And I can't imagine running outside in that type of heat 😩
Funny titles, Shoe Analysis, Bird Nature commentary, and running inspiration. 🔥. Keep it up bro! I've been wondering if you were gonna give the Glycerin a chance.

Shout out to the crows 🐦⬛ putting out some work crowing. 😂
You are wild for that video title lmao. I love it.
My wife loves these. Title is an absolutely brutal way to find out we are getting old.

Can't wait man :)
Nimbus comparison vid maybe?? Love the video and energy as always.

No one wears Asics? Lol
As someone who works at a fleet feet. The brooks glycerin essentially the regular, they amount of moms and women that buy these shoes is ridiculous
Your timing is incredible, I literally purchased the Glycerin 21 Stealth yesterday. My recovery day shoes have been the invincible 3, which I have 2 pairs. birds truly are majestic creatures. soft and serene in the beginning to the crows going ham at the end.
So true! Majestic is the perfect word
Bought the 860v14 after watching your video. Very happy with them!
It’s funny to me that the 860 is softer than the 880.
@@wildforthecats661 yeah I tried them both and even the fit is different. 880 was too tight in the midfoot.
I just ordered the Ghost Hyperion Max 2. We shall see how they feel on foot when they get here in about a week. Totally different than v1 based on what I've seen.
I’m really interested in these. 2024 is all about super trainers for me.
I've had 17, 18, and 20, the 17 and 20 were long run shoes for marathon training cycles. The 17 was soft but mushy, not versatile. Dicks is already doing some colorways on the 21 at a lower cost, FYI
Had the 20’s (big discount and not much different than the 21s, same V3 foam) for a couple of weeks and the drop feels high to me but the foam is softening up and I think it will be a good long run cruiser.
Had both and 21 feels pretty different, softer and more bouncy , more foam in forefoot and less outsole coverage changed feel substantially.
How's the Skyward X compared to the Skyflow?
There is Hoka Skyflow in that price range which you haven’t covered yet. If Brooks Ghost Max drops in price when Max 2 comes out I will be tempted to buy a pair.
NB SC-Tv3 is my most anticipated shoes of the year! V1 and V2 are both in the HOF to me
What types of runs are they for
Everything except race day IMO! And technically, you could race in them
Hey Yowana. I got the stealth fit version, to give it a more cool look + change a little with the sock fit upper. Tried best of both worlds.
I definitely wouldn't rule out Brooks because, based on my experience with the Hyperion Max, they know how to make a durable, comfortable shoe. I appreciate that you mention that you can really feel the 10mm drop on this shoe.

Would you go Glycerin 20/21 or NB 860v14 or Clifton 9 for walking?
Just had a super wet run in the SL 2 rubber was great not as good as puma or continental rubber but if adidas puts continental they will have for sure the greatest daily trainer ever
And I mean pouring rain so still very valid rubber
Amazing dude thanks for the update 🙏🏽 we weirdly haven't had any rain in like two weeks so I haven't had a chance to test them in the wet yet. So that's great to hear. I had a similar experience with the Boston 12 - SL3 with continental would be 🐐
Great video as always! Those 1080s are great for walking but I can’t handle running in those things. Way too squishy
Loved the thoughts at the ~37:00 mark. Decent in every category but not the best at anything. The Toyota Camry of shoes
Finally! Let's go! 🔥🔥🔥
The brooks ghost max than the glycerin 21, love the foam but i think high drop shoes is not for me.
Finally!!! Now that I’ve converted you I want you to try the Puma Magnify Nitro 2 😈
Yessir! Highly impressed. Magnify nitro 2 is on the list 🫡
@@supwell they rag on the brooks but you set the record straight. Appreciate the shoutout it made my day!
"There's not that many of them left" but Brooks makes a lot of them...
Not the nursing home 7000s!!!😂😂😂 I tried these and ultimately went with the Hoka Clifton 9.
Video recommendation, how to make a shoe rotation. This is something I am struggling with currently. I picked up the nova blasts recently my longer runs but looking for a lower mileage/speed, recovery, and race day shoe.

What would be most breathable comfortable (for walking) shoes youve tested? thanks
The Glycerin 21 felt very similar to the 1080v13 in my opinion. But the glycerin felt better, more bouncy and squishier.
im will be waiting for your 100miles review on this one
i also bought glycerine 21 GTS, it really is such flat shoes at the start but when you accumulate miles on it you will appreciate more
This vs the ghost max 2. Main difference seems to be the drop? GMax2 more a forefoot striker shoe ?
If I had walked through that spider web, my whole day would have been ruined! 😂
Crows putting in the work
Savage title but not lying
what a running view you have thereeee
Sounds like ppl like comparing the glycerin 21 to the triumph 21, gel nimbus 25,26. Your thoughts?
The title is great but the nursing home 7,000 comment literally got me 😂 🤣
This is definitely not my mom's favorite daily trainer. She doesn't even run 💀
I have the Stealthfit Edition, I wish the midsole in Glycerin 21 should have been a bit soft
It’s actually amazing everyone seems to know what I means now, expect some of the older staff find it cringe but it’s a vibe for sure
Ghost max 2 is coming soon too 😎
43:32 strays towards spectrum lmao
Bro it takes 2 hours for me to upload a video from home. Spectrum is 🗑️

Ghost max 2! Same foam as this but with the lower drop. I've really been enjoying it so far
I want to get a soft max cushion shoe. Everyone's saying the 1080 v13 is the one and i already have the Invincible 3. But i only buy running shoes on sale and 1080 v13s dont go on sale. Thinking about picking up the New balance More V4.
Adizero Sl vs Glycerin 21
That lace tie-up is tidy AF lol
At our local fleet feet we calls these the glizys and the glizy gts
😂😂😂
I wish Brooks made a lower drop (8mm) lightweight daily trainer with this foam. I'd be all over it. Ghost 16 and Glycerin 21 are too big and bulky.
That’s where the Ghost Max 1,2 come in! 6mm drop for max cushion category. The Hyperion/max are brooks lightweight lower drop trainer at 8mm
Shoes color livery is poppin...
Lmaoooo literally my mom’s favorite shot she got the black and the white!!!! She’s 73 😂
If only they lowered the drop in the glycerin 21 which therefore increases the foam in the forefoot, it would have been perfect! Guaranteed. 6mm is the sweetspot
Don’t let the days gooo BYYYYYYYY
Hyperion 2 by any chance
"They had chopped chicken heads on the side of the road".................I came close to shooting coffee out of my nose. REAL close.
Did you know a group of crows is called a "murder" be careful out there....I like the glycerin GTS 20 better than the 21s. For some reason it's harder to get the non-GTS glycerin around here. I have a feeling they think the GTS is better for you....I'm still not sure.
Nursing home 7000s 😂
I bet Young Jeezy when he first got into marathon training and running…. Bet he’s had some Brooks Glycerin
The 🐦⬛ 🐦⬛ 🐦⬛ 😂😂😂
Put some respect to the crows :P :D
THIS MAN IS RUNNING! Bro how many miles do you clock a week on average!?
Nursing Home 7000’s 😮😂
38:52 😂
My mother in laws favorite shoe is the ghost 👻
Can you make it to 100 miles? Please. 😁
HE DID IT
MY MAN 😂
A lot of respect needs to be placed 😂
bro you are hilarious
👍
Based on the title I was expecting Skechers.
Nah, but my mom wears the Boston 9s
Brooks foam just doesn't get the job done for me.
Yo stop going to my mom's place
Your title is offending Karen.
Put a shirt on...Geez
