Beautiful work! Your great grandfather’s story is similar to the one for Canada‘s last remaining statue maker. He came to Canada in 1867 from Italy. Your statues are beautiful and I wished we lived closer to you! ❤

You don't understand so you should not criticize. I am proud to be Catholic and I love the beauty and artistry of making them. You probably wouldn't like the DAVID by Michelangelo or his Pieta. it takes a person of sensitivity and intelligence to enjoy the artistry of statues. As for the devotion to the saints and NOT THE STATUES, that eludes you too.

SILVIA Me too, I feel especially blessed to be a recipient of divine revelation, because I had no clue either as a born again evangelical protestant. But that was before I experienced the power of a Miraculous Medal. ''Veneration of an icon is referred to it's prototype'' St John of Damascene. I believe the same can be said of any sacred visual expressions of the Holy.

And the whole world lies deceived Revelation 12 9 ... Exodus 20 4 regarding statues , those who make them are like them.. NO BRAINS.. and those who bow down to them

@@johnnydoe4874 You are not Catholic so you don't understand how we feel about religious statues. I have at least 10 in my apartment. And at Christmas EVERYONE that is Christian, sets up Nativity scenes. I bet even YOU have a picture or 2 of your relatives on display in your house. They are all reminders of those people we love. If you look at that picture of your baby or your wedding day, you are NOT worshipping that picture, it's just a fond reminder. When I see a statue of Mary, it reminds me she is in heaven so I may ask HER to keep my grandson safe with her in heaven because he just died a few days ago of Infant Death SYndrome. Statues like pictures and paintings are reminders. And through those reminders, we ask them to help us because they are in heaven. You may be excellent at quoting the Bible, but you miss the point in the interpretation. Interpretation is a Personal Point of view. That's why we have DOZENS of religions. Each interprets the Bible to what he wants to believe and NOT what Jesus really meant.

@@passion777able you shouldn’t ask Mary for anything, she lives now with god let her live with god in heaven. If you have a problem GO TO YOUR LORD. And making images of Mary, jesus or even god is not very smart. Why? Because we don’t actually know how they looked like, so why make statues if they don’t even look like the real characters. And god the father should not be portrayed at all he is spirit and not he has never been visible for mortals. Just like the Holy Spirit.
Besides all of that, the Holy Spirit has the power to remind us of our lord and savior. And the Holy Spirit gives us the power to be like our brothers and sisters who live in heaven with god. But don’t give special credit to certain people. The pope isn’t the one that decides who is holy. IN CHRIST WE ARE ALL HOLY. Amen ✨💪🤍🕊🐑

@@issachar760 You poor thing, you are missing so much from misconceptions. Mary was SO FAITHFUL to GOD for accepting the role of Jesus' mother that God Himself has given her the power to DISPENSE ALL GRACES. THat's how much God favors her. It's like handing her all the riches of the church to dispense at her discretion. She's not just sitting around in Heaven. She's INTERCEDING for us in all our calamities. She KNOWS your problems but she wishes for YOU to tell them to her yourself so she can help you. Her ultimate goal is for ALL of us to turn to Jesus and love HIM. That's her mission. She doesn't seek to be a goddess, she seeks for us to cling to jesus. But she, like all good mothers intercedes for us in Heaven. DOn't you remember the wedding feast at Cana? She INTERCEDED for that host that had run out of wine, to help them. She didn't ORDER Jesus to make wine, She made the problem known to Him then told the attendants, " Do as he tells you ," She KNEW HE never turned her down. And so, he didn't. His first miracle at HER REQUEST. That's why we ask her for help all the time. You should too. Ask her to replace your doubt of her with faith.

The Bible was made but the Catholic Church. Before that it was unorganized random scrolls you can thank Pope Damasus for the Bible you use today.
