When i saw the title of the video, i thought you were gonna do a video about this comment : Greivous' surviving would result in a totally diffrent Galactic Empire. In canon, the CIS collapsed since it's huge Droid armies had no leaders, and we're shut down or forced under the Empire. Greivous living would mean the CIS would survive. He would undoubtedly rally the Droid armies under his command (since he was their supreme leader anyway) and wage war on the Emperor and Empire that betrayed him. This would mean the Empire would lose out on huge amounts of territory and production, with the Empire simply replacing the Republic as the CIS's opponent in the clone wars (which would continue). This would also give the future rebels (who would be looking for an organization to join that could stand up to the Empire) a pre-existing force to join... the CIS. As a result there would be no rebel alliance, the CIS would replace it, only it would be far more powerful and resourceful than the rebels of canon, and have a Droid army to support the rebel soldiers. Ultimately, Greivous might even make a truce with the surviving Jedi (who he would see as a lesser evil than the Emperor and former Republic), granting them safety in the CIS in exchange for their participation in the war. This would likely result in a faster collapse of the Empire, and the rise of the Galactic Confederacy from its ashes. A confederacy led by Supreme Leader Greivous.( by SkiddyGaming)
Someone has to expand on this NOW! It sounds awesome imagining what this power would be/act like (I imagine still very warlike considering it is still Grevious we are talking about) plus with the addition of the new movies it would be interesting to see an expansion on this idea with some alternate First Order emerge decades later.
What's the storyline here? Where do you begin alternating the canon? Let's say in Revenge of the Sith Grievous actually kills Obi-Wan(as he should lol he won that fight, plot armor saved Obi-Wan). Then it depends on the point of does he go to Mustafar and how big army of droids he brings with him. First thing you guys need to know is that all the droid armies across the galaxy were shut down by shutting down the droid master switch on Mustafar by Vader at the end of RotS after killing CiS leaders. So let's say he kills the Obi-Wan, and he probably uses one of the fighters to sneak by the clones like Obi Wan did, since the clones are winning the battle, all depends if he musters a fleet and army of droids on his way to Mustafar or if he even goes there. 1) in case he goes there alone, which is the most probable case, he just gets killed by Vader on Mustafar BUT then you have the case of much powerful Vader since he isn't burned and his connection to the force remains even stronger than in canon(and even after burns he was like just bellow Sidious), and probably strong unified galaxy to KICK THE SHIT out of Yuuzhan Wong when they come(Palpatine knew about them and he was preparing the galaxy for them, Death Star was specifically used to counter their planet sized ships). that's the most probable option. Then you wouldn't have the events of original trilogy, Vader finds Padme, maybe saves her, maybe not, who knows, anyways kids are with him now, which means no Luke or Leia to lead the rebels which are easily crushed then (if they appear at all). This is the version i much more prefer than what actually happened. 2) Grievous goes there BUT he brought army of droids with him. In this case its a bit more probable that he might live for a bit longer, but in 2/3 cases nothing grand as u suggested: a) Grievous after killing Obi-Wan and escaping clones would probably report to Palpatine/Sidious which would then probably instruct him to go alone on Mustafar, to get killed by Vader since he is so much stronger now. So the whole thing with Grievous bringing an army is VERY unlikely. This ends like in 1st option. b)Grievous gets an army and ignores Sideous orders to go alone(very unlikely) then there are couple of scenarios again. With additional droids, and most importantly magna guards Grievous HAS A CHANCE of defeating Vader if it comes to fighting. But more likely he is just instructed to kill the CiS leaders which he would gladly do and may even become Empires officer/general(now imagine that). We again have ultra-giga-mega powerful Vader + Grievous. This is probably the strongest version of Empire u can get. And my favorite storyline. Also Vader might be strong enough to kill him alone with army as well although i'm not sure. c)Grievous fights Vader and kills him using dirty games and droids(since there is no chance alone, Vader at this point is actually much more stronger than Obi-Wan. It's just the fucking plot armor again). He just get's killed by Sidious... easy as that. He can't hide or run very far or long, Sidious just finds him and literally one-man armies his way through and obliterates him, its not really a contest at all, droids/no droids+ Sidious would probably have an army of his own. So the most you can get is him being adopted into Empire and being one of its scariest commanders, which i consider pretty cool.I think he wouldn't mind that either since he would be able to use much more aggressive tactics he prefers. But Grievous just simply doesn't posses any way of disposing of Sidious. Which would kill him eventually. P.S. Sorry for kinda necroposting :D

I have an interesting Theory. In Legends, one of the IG-88 droids uploaded himself to the first death star, and another to the second. This was in preparation for a sky-net style rebellion against all organic life. Droids mined the ore needed to feed the foundries feeding the assembly lines making a massive army that was stationed in a planet that was gradually hollowed out to make more room. What would happen if IG-88 succeeded in usurping the Death Star? It has access to a LOT of Imperial military schematics, including better war-droids.
Grievous would've been a great sith if he was force sensitive! Probably better than ventress and Dooku. Hey What if Grievous was a sith?? That's a good idea and i'd love to see how it would play out if he was Dooku's OR Palpatine's apprentice!
There would be no senate just another addition to the collection. Have you seen the 2003 Grivous? Sidous was afraid of what dooku had created after he figured that Grivous Beat 7 Jedi two of them from the council on his own. At first he was at ease because Dooku failed to make him force sensitive and saw him as just another tool that could pose no threat but after that massacre it was clear to the senate that Grivous had to be destroyed before he reign's as emperor.
"What if Vader was emperor" I like that idea from a bit below. But I would add "What if Vader killed Sidious and became the emperor?". How would the Moffs react, the imperial senate (if it was still active at that time), what would the public think of this guy in his big black mechanical suit and most of all what about the rebellion? Would it be more successfull with Vader busy leading the Empire, or would he be more dangerous with Sidious having relied heavly on his forsight (which was lacking as he, well, died)? Would Luke be able to kill his own father, maybe fall to the dark side more easily? Questions above questions!
he has already mentioned this (or maybe it was another youtuber) if he killed sidious his men would probably coup against him and Vader does not know how to run politics at all hes like Grievous he doesn't know how to run politics he just is a weapon to attack them though a Tarkin video would be pretty good
Dalek ShitPoster Yeah...Tarkin would be even better. He's really evil, but also pragmatic and knows how to organize things. I don't think anyone would dare coup against him.
He was useful, true. But unlike Vader, who cannot be replaced in a short time, Imperial officer, no matter how high ranking, was replecable. Even someone as Tarkin isn't so important to be spared such a disasterous defeat. Imps were removed for less.
Also, the emperor technically didn't authorize the massacre of Alderaan and it was an improvised and impulsive desission from Tarkin, so he got 2.5 billion homicide charges on him...
Honestly, I think Grievous would die of health and age-related complications before he was overthrown considering he was most likely around 50 by his death in the clone wars and his species naturally lived till around 80 max I think he has less time than the full lifespan considering the state of his cybernetics giving him a permanent cough.
The first thing that came to mind was for how Grevious would rise to power would be if Dooku's execution was somehow broadcast throughout the galaxy revealing Palpatine's cruel side and Anakin's fall from grace and drastically changing the public's opinion on the war.
The lack of financial backing wouldn't be a problem for Grievous. Like you said, he'd probably immediately kill off the separatist senate the second he became the political leader, but in terms of supply, the droid factories themselves were self sustaining. He'd probably go to Kalee, recruit all of his tribes to run factories and the military, and become the horrifying warlord described in the video. The difference being I believe the chaos would last for a far longer period of time, as most other upstart factions would be quickly exhausted with endless tides of droids. It'd probably end once grievous died.
Raptormann0205 That's assuming he dies. Cloning technology does exist, he gets cloned and transfers his consciousness before death and bang! Brand new gervious that could probably last for another 80 years.
the most likely way this could happen is if order 66 occurred before General Grievous was defeated by Obi Wan Kenobi, which is not at all far fetched since they happened within minutes of each other. Order 66 would have put the grand army of the republic into disarray since they would effectively have killed much of their leadership and the focus would be taken off the droids for a few moments. the clones would also be fighting on two fronts, the jedi and the seperatists. The biggest problem here is the droid shutdown order but its possible Grievous had the means to override.
What if Asajj Ventress became Empress? What if Sidius found the Brother? what if the Grand Inquisitor became Emperor? What if Thrawn became Emperor? What if Plagueis were a Jedi? What if Sidius took Mother Talzin as his apprentice?
You also have to assume that Grevious has a massive jump in terms of competence and ability. From what I've seen of him in the CGI Clone Wars and ROTS suggests that he was incapable of winning the war, or even presenting a significant genuine threat to the Republic.
Personally I think that if he was to be the absolute leader he’d still work with the geonosians and as well as other constructers to build his army especially if he wanted to stay in control he may be a warlord but he’s also a very cunning strategist in my personal opinion all those ideas for more powerful war machines in the droid army would be in his possession for example that droideka Mach 3 with the 3 twin blasters and ion cannons plus the more powerful shield generator with all those war machines at his disposal I’d give about another decade or 2 because of the sheer numbers he would have and then again when the yuuzhan Vong arrive he would also still have all those droids and sure no force weilders but he would have an immense amount of ships and dreadnoughts at the time now by no means I say he could win but damn would he give them hell
Here's an interesting ideal, what if rebellion was staged against Grievous like mentioned where he lets his bankers live as a warlord; What if said rebellion was staged without the aid of Rebel plot armor? Would the rebels have an easier time overthrowing a droid army over storm troopers? Maybe if for the reason of there being more who'd rebel since Sidious was better at brain washing his closer civilians. I can image the CIS counsel saying things like "We won, but our army is run by a mad man!" Or something like that.
Grievous would be, at best, a warlord in the style of Manuel Noriega and, at worst, run the republic like Pablo Escobar ran his cartel. This was a cool video.
Yeah I've been working on a script for the next one, they take a very long time to do however due to research and fact checking but keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks! Thanks for watching! =D
this would be my dream, and a grievous prequel he woukd also destory the galaxy along with is empire pretty fast, cant see him sitting in a chair saying whats 'good' and ranting about the dark side, palpatine likes power and control, grievous is a warrior.
i think the droids would have managed to keep order and what if grievous built the death star it would cement his rein and what if some of the remaining jedi joined him he would have a force capable of keeping the galaxy under control
You have to remember that Griveous was already a warlord before he became the general of the Trade Confederation, so even IF he doesn't have a mind for business, he would still know the value of keeping the Trade Federation council around. Plus just because we only see Griveous as a fighter, doesn't mean that he's just a brute with no diplomatic skills...
What if Grievous was not such an "mad dog" but more a "tragic hero" from his people's perspective, tolerating what all has happened to him to do what is best for his world, even at the expense of all others?
I mean this seems spot on, but I doubt rebellion would phase him much, since I'm assuming that the Jedi would be given the old omnicide treatment off the bat. Without Jedi, I don't think anyone would have a shot at killing an Emperor Grievous
I think Legends GG would indeed be a warlord, but I get the feeling he'd declare a certain part of the galaxy his (his home world and space around it) and would basically turn into a more badass version of Jabba the Hutt. He do this of course after burning the planets that irked him the most, and then he'd tell the galaxy to bugger off.
First thing that happens: The extinction of every single hukSecond Thing: extinction of the Jedi Third Thing: killing of Gunray 4th Thing: The literal whole galaxy is in chaos and I pray to the gods that GG never died in all of it
Bare in mind he would still have tactical and super tactical droids in his ranks which would also still have command and give him economical advice to make sure he doesn't actually destroy the new rule
What if? Order 66 was accidently activated early into the Clone Wars. Does it cause the early disbandment of the clone army? And what will happen because of this?
The seperatist council along with count dooku had a kill switch for grievous to keep him controllable like a droid like they did for the rest of the droid army
I think Grievous would have been a great emperor seeing that is capable to kill Jedi that opposes him, along with other, he would just show everyone else an example if they look at him the wrong way.
I kinda wanna see this now. An alternate universe story where the rebellion is fighting droids and grevious instead of stormtroopers and vader. I think it would make a really good warfilm that has sortof a terminator vibe to it.
I think that grievous didnt want control of the galaxy, he just would have blown up the republic and jedi order and return to the confederacy of planets.
Depends on which version of Grievous we're talking about. Legends Grievous had he not been crippled by Mace Windu probably could have done exactly what you brought up here. Canon Grievous would have gotten beaten up by some Gungans and then laughed at for ever even trying.
I️ feel like grievous would just annihilate every planet and there would be no planet with a large enough population to fight a head to head war with him unless they came from another galaxy or some shit like that or they started within a year of him taking over, and he’d probably keep the clones and droids so he had an even bigger army

Grievous: “ I am *cough* *cough* the senate”
Obi wan: “oh I’m not brave enough for politics”
**leaves room**
To be honest, I definitely think that Grievous is more of an enforcer like Vader, not suitable emperor material.
What if Obi Wan bought death sticks
LaminCookie YES!
do this one😹
good one
its already been answered in bessy videos
Someone already made that
Grievous would've been a great sith if he was force sensitive!
Questions above questions!
he has already mentioned this (or maybe it was another youtuber) if he killed sidious his men would probably coup against him
and Vader does not know how to run politics at all
hes like Grievous he doesn't know how to run politics he just is a weapon to attack them
though a Tarkin video would be pretty good
What if you were Emperor? Good ReichsKanzler.
Dalek ShitPoster Yeah...Tarkin would be even better. He's really evil, but also pragmatic and knows how to organize things. I don't think anyone would dare coup against him.
though I can see that cause almost all of the stormtroopers loved him and were loyal
they wouldn't kill him
causing them to go after tarkin
As ridiculous as it is in the long run, but Grievous being Emperor makes me very happy for some reason
Can you do if Mace Windu was the chosen one?
Captain Inc some of these are so ridiculous. "What if Padme became emperor?"
What if Jar Jar had a modicum of likability?
what if everyone got high and took on a policy of make love not war.
I definitely think that grievous wouldn't bring any order of security.
I agree with you, more a warlord than an emperor !
If grievous was the emperor, grievous would have a massive lightsabers to his collection.
What if Count Dooku remained as a Jedi Master following Qui-Gon's death?
I am pretty sure Dooku's training with Grievous made him a little more level headed than "Kill everyone".
I agree with you, this video is exaggerated
Great video man liked
awsome channel keep up the good work
Immediately subscribed.
What if Grand Moff Tarkin evacuated the first death star before it was destroyed?
I believe he would have been executed immediately.
Tarkin was too useful he'd probably get the same punishment as Darth Vader did.
4:29 man i love these guns
BEST WHAT IF EVER
loved it dude keep it up :)
If Canon General Grievous became the Emperor, he would not be just the clown, but the entire circus.
You make a lot of Separatist videos, AND I LOVE IT!
"What if Grevious became Emperor?"
*THAT'D BE FUCKING METAL AS FUCK, DUDE!*
I really like these far fetch'd scenarios. Really fun to think about. Keep it up!
Grievous - kills 50+ jedi or some rebellion that are practically poor
You fool, I've been trained in your empire arts by Darth Sidious!
I think grievous was well aware of where his strengths lie. I very much doubt he'd try to install himself as a permanent leader.
god damn i really miss grievous
I'm right here
The first thing that came to mind was for how Grevious would rise to power would be if Dooku's execution was somehow broadcast throughout the galaxy revealing Palpatine's cruel side and Anakin's fall from grace and drastically changing the public's opinion on the war.
Emperor Grievous...Damn,that has a good ring to it.
Raptormann0205 and I know you might poke at the consciousness transfer but non force users such as thrawn have done it.
the most likely way this could happen is if order 66 occurred before General Grievous was defeated by Obi Wan Kenobi, which is not at all far fetched since they happened within minutes of each other.
How would the first question happen?
What happened to the deactivated battle droids after the clone wars?
I think the rebels ended up using them, same with vehicles
The Droid Army would curbstomp the Vong
Here's an interesting ideal, what if rebellion was staged against Grievous like mentioned where he lets his bankers live as a warlord;
What if said rebellion was staged without the aid of Rebel plot armor?
Would the rebels have an easier time overthrowing a droid army over storm troopers? Maybe if for the reason of there being more who'd rebel since Sidious was better at brain washing his closer civilians.
I can image the CIS counsel saying things like "We won, but our army is run by a mad man!" Or something like that.
The emperor will be shorter than I expected
I highly doubt Grievous would be the type to get interested in politics XD
Just think, if this happened, he’d be Rey’s grandfather saying “I am all the Kaleesh” mostly because he’s not a sith.
Have you ever considered making a rethink video talking about whether or not the Sith's rule of 2 was a good idea?
It would be grievous!
AHA HA HA HA HA ok meesa gonna go jump out the airlock now.
E
Grievous would be, at best, a warlord in the style of Manuel Noriega and, at worst, run the republic like Pablo Escobar ran his cartel. This was a cool video.
are you doing more apocalypse videos ????
Yeah I've been working on a script for the next one, they take a very long time to do however due to research and fact checking but keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks! Thanks for watching! =D
this would be my dream, and a grievous prequel
he woukd also destory the galaxy along with is empire pretty fast, cant see him sitting in a chair saying whats 'good' and ranting about the dark side, palpatine likes power and control, grievous is a warrior.
Well atleast the other kaleesh people would see him as the greatest hero just as sam hill predicted.
i think the droids would have managed to keep order and what if grievous built the death star it would cement his rein and what if some of the remaining jedi joined him he would have a force capable of keeping the galaxy under control
What if Luke didn't go and confront Darth Vader on Cloud City like Yoda told him to?
Grevious would literally take every lightsaber in the galaxy lol!
imagine grievous making repeatedly stupid choices and they somehow just work
What if Grievous killed ObiWan on Utupau
Sidouis and Dooku expected him to be a war criminal and tossing him a side because he was just a toy in a losing war from either side.
What if Grievous was not such an "mad dog" but more a "tragic hero" from his people's perspective, tolerating what all has happened to him to do what is best for his world, even at the expense of all others?
I like general grevious
Note to sustain his rule he just has to have his droids mine and build more droids.
The rebellion's would defeat his droids, but when they get to him, they would be in trouble.
I imagine he'd get some fine additions to his colection
*Sees the title* Ok, keep going e.e
I love General Grievous!
If Grievous just left the planets under his control to there own devices they would have no motive to rebel against him
He is a insane monster, he'd likely blow the galaxy sky high along with himself just to say he did
i need "a what if" of that
Considering his health and lifespan I don't think grievous would live for a decade
Do a video of what if Palpatine, Anakin and Obi-Wan died when Grievous's flagship crashed on Coruscant.
Awesome!!!
No one in the entire galaxy but him would be allowed to hold or own a lightsaber.
I️ feel like grievous would just annihilate every planet and there would be no planet with a large enough population to fight a head to head war with him unless they came from another galaxy or some shit like that or they started within a year of him taking over, and he’d probably keep the clones and droids so he had an even bigger army
my god i love your voice
I feel like he's like the Darth Vader of the CIS
i don't think he's a threat,unless its grivous from animated star wars.
