Just 'for your information'...the famous concert of 1969 was not held in Woodstock. It was actually held about 60 miles southwest of the town in Bethel, NY.
Sophia you have made my day. Woodstock was everything I imagined it would be. Dancers and all. Looks like he was having a great time HA HA HA. I would love to get into those shops. My children and I love these videos. Please keep them coming. xxxx
I forgot to mention, the 1969 Woodstock was at Bethel Farms, and Woodstock 94 was in Saugerties, which was in our back yard. Those shirts made in Dominican Republic were probably fair trade.
Great video. Just an update, there are 12 towns under the Ashokan. 8 were 'moved' and 4 still remain, or what's left of them. I grew up in this area, still here. Spent many a day at the Ashokan. ;) Oh, and the concert was at Bethel, about 50 miles, maybe, west. It was initially supposed to be in Wallkill, NY, but at the last minute had to be moved. All that stone on the green used to be grass. It's only the last decade that the drum circle has been there regularly. Us local folks miss the grass.
the Buddhist Temple was of course my favorite. 20 years ago I formally converted. I finally feel after all you have shared and helped, in some small way I shared something of myself. I hope you all enjoyed it, seems Edward did!
Love all of your trips and yes please, more of them. I love seeing rural/small town America - like the UK, there are so many things to see when you explore away from the cities. Loved the Furniture store, and if I am not mistaken, I saw a lookalike K9 (the metal dog) from Dr Who at 21.32. I was looking out for a Dalek or a Cyberman but I suppose copyright would stop him from making anything like them, as they are very distinct lol. Loved the "Enterprise" starship. I think I would have had to share that Burger and yummy beer battered chips with my son, I'm not surprised you couldn't finish it - portions do seem a lot larger. Lorna UK
I really enjoy your travel videos! I'm from New Jersey but am currently living in Arizona. I'm always home sick so when I watch your videos I get to enjoy seeing the east coast again. Hoping to move back soon!
Sophia love all of your Vlogs. I have always enjoyed your New York trips. Very happy to watch any tours of New Jersey, even shopping centres!! I'm an Aussie so it is like I am on tour, but only from the comfort of my Lounge Chair. Thank you for your Vlogs.
I love that road trip, beautiful scenery, those shops were pretty cool, I loved to see what that Buddha Temple looked liked inside...Thank You for sharing your road trip with us...loved it..
Been here uncountable number of times. surrounding areas as well. Bethel, NY, S&W of Woodstock too. Love it all. Breathe it all in, Love it all out...☮
Love your Vlogs. I am from Malta (a small island in the Mediterranean) and the bread looks similar to our traditional Maltese bread. Looking forward to more of your trips
Your husband seems great! I am always curious as to how successful couples meet. You seem to have great energy and your kids are lucky to be able to see such a variety of places and sights! Awesome video!
You should have said something!! I live just 10 miles from there, at the base of the mountain in Catskill proper. First of all, you took the long way taking 28. But you wouldn't have passed the furniture store. And you missed your turn to the Buddhist Temple. Oh, and you were the on a weekend, which is the exception, not the rule of Woodstock.
Thanks Sophia, this is great! How's weight watchers going lately? I just rejoined tonight in hopes of losing this baby weight. Heading to first weigh in tomorrow; you really were my inspiration to go back. Thanks, Nicole
