I came back here to see what these originally cost and how fast they were. 14.3 for the non supercharged model is crazy for a car this heavy. And 470hp is great for the boosted model. These things have not held their value at all though. I'm seeing them for as low as $5,000. Mostly because the owners don't know what maintenance is. A good condition one will set you back $15k, and that's a bargain for a car this expensive.
@flawns Being Fuel efficient is the "in" thing. That is why you see a lot of celebrities (Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Paris Hilton ,Leonardo DiCaprio. etc) and especially the general public in them! Even the Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid is available because people with money care about the MPG's, sometimes.
@quatlen its not the "it is" OR "it isn't" .... i was just messing with the original poster of this conversation....please read, then think before you type.
@mjg35c Sorry! i'm wrong! AJ133 V8 engine is new~ But the transmission is too old! the german、japan luxury cars almost use 7 or 8 speed 、dual-clutch transmission!!! but the 2011 XJ's interior is pretty~
@nitinopp Well John Davis was here from the beginning. If he sucked as a host the show would cease to exist as of today. I guess you can do better? The reason why the view counts are lower is that people try their darndest to catch the show on TV!
Service costs and below average reliability. Nobody wants em cause they're pretty but a terror to own. Currently looking at a 2013 XJL Ultimate, which was a maybach rivaling $160k special model that they only made 30 of for the U.S. any other brand this would mean it commands a huge premium. But there's 2 for sale with under 50k miles: one for $39,000 and the other for $41,000! Unbelieveable!
Yup, the natural Jag depreciation plus the horrendously expensive maintenance cost are doozies for resale values. You have to be insane to own one of these outside of warranty. Plus insurance costs are higher than normal, due to complex construction of the car.
im not a fan of this new youtube crap they got spreaded around everywhere.....alot of stupid ads and boxes pops up and it gets in the way....other than that its a very nice car!!!
My jaws DROPPED when I saw how beautiful the interior was.
Do you plan on getting one now? the prices are low!
I always like the look of the old model, but with this New XJ Jag has really out done themselves.
This thing is extremely classy and stylish
I love the front, no so much the back, but still, I wouldn't think twice about buying this amazing car.
XJ over an S-class or a 7 series ANY DAY
This is a beautiful car.
04:37 Royal Farms are Maryland’s WaWa, very good coffee. Always a decent stop when passing through the state.
You damn right..we Marylanders live and die by our Royal Farms
stunning and techie! Perfect. The only car that has ever caused me to stare.
This car is way better than any of the othr cars in its class.....JAG is back!
@gandu9 Haha, John Davis has been doing this show forever lol! He was the host back when I was a kid & Im almost 40! Ya gotta love John Davis!
Yes and he's a great narrator for the road and comparison tests
the 2009-present Jaguar XJ is assembled in
Birmingham, England. UK

@nitinopp John Davis is here to stay. Watch Bajabusta's channel, John hasn't changed 1 bit and is the king of MW.
He sure is
@DSNCB919
Must have been the inspiration for Jaguar engineers.

My great grandmother has this car lol
20 mpgs is pretty good! And no please don't response and tell me someone who buys a expensive Jag doesn't care about MPGs.

LOVE JAGS
2003 was the Last Year of the real Jag XJ
With all the crazy graphics in this video I was waiting for automatic rifle fire, explosions and bikini-clad girls.
All the old XJ's look so much better than this. The only thing nice about this XJ is the interior.
what a breath of fresh air in a stuffy, dull and middle aged market

@lin520999 What do you mean old engine? All new 2010-2011 Jaguars use the NEW 5.0L V8 engines. The OLD 4.2L V8 has been discontinued.
I would paint the C pillars to match the car color.
Same. I’ve seen this done

@7477238 You are clearly in denial. However, you are truly welcome to have your opinion. Have a great day.
@gmman05 Yes.
@7477238 He can stay, but I promise you the view count on each motorweek video will stay pathetic as long as he is the host.
Car guru for one of these in 2019.... $12,900
LOL
My how does such a beautiful car deplete in value???

A Lot!
@teamlaguna the cts-v has nothing to do with the xj. the cts-v competes with the jag xfr
at first I thought it was a maserati idk the front reminds me of that minus the logo
motorweek needs to make higher res vids
ONE THING TO SAY ,,, CTS-V !!!!!
i thought the trunk was 3 inches bigger than an s class
I wanna pwn one !
I wish there was a 6 cylinder version
Be careful with the BRAKES they may overheat ! LOL
im not a fan of this new youtube crap they got spreaded around everywhere.....alot of stupid ads and boxes pops up and it gets in the way....other than that its a very nice car!!!
@OneOfaKind949 someone who can buy a jag doesn't care about the MPGs.
