Heh, the 2nd cutscene reminds me of the 1st mission of AC7 where we're taking off while the base is under attack by bombers. Even more, the plane is an F-16, akin to the starter plane in AC7
I remember when this game was released. Played it like hell at the PX on Fort Campbell, Ky. I probably put enough quarters in this damn game to buy one. Could get close to completing the game but never got to the end. I remember going to play one day, and watched a real USAF pilot, who was still in his blue coverall uniform, totally kick the game's ass. I don't know if he was putting me on or not, but he said the game was harder than real life.
so this is the one that started it all....

I used to get SO pumped to play this game in the arcade, with the cockpit set up
Notice how their renderer lacks subpixel vertexes, and how triangle depth sorting is a bit quirky.
CGI ANIME VERSION.
1992 Time Out by Namco, mall (remember those) near you.
thought this used a Namco System 21 and not a Laserdisc?
this is recorded from Namco System 21
It uses the same board but this is full cinematic footage, it's like the unseen version.
