I'm from Terceira Island (Island of Jesus Christ), and from the village of Porto Judeu where he was born and where Pedro Francisco was kidnapped. This story has been known here on the island for many years.
But in this short film there are several errors:
At that time Porto Judeu was a very poor town, the house that appears belongs to noble and rich families, Pedro Francisco was the son of the people, probably fishermen, Porto Judeu was a fishing village, next to the sea, so it was easy for pirates kidnap the child.
Another mistake, soccer? At the beginning of the 18th century? In the middle of the Atlantic?
British uniforms are wrong. The one who tried shooting the main character has shoulder wings, which only grenadiers or light infantry wore, yet the soldier wears a center company tricorne hat.
This is just so cool! Just how could they not make a movie based on a real life legend?
In fact how come schools never mentioned this mighty Samson, Hercules or He-Man Like figure in the American History Class?
I was homeschooled I never heard anyone about Peter Francisco in my childhood years. And never before they ever made a movie about Peter Francisco of him wielding a sword in battle and became a one man army.
