I have had two treatments of ketamine and that is some best stuff ever. It worked really well for me. I would recommend people that have depression and anxiety to get it. My attitude has changed dramatically.

I'm gona probably be getting it every two weeks or every month due to my health issues that I have.
Ketamine is a lifesaver for me too. When I go to the clinic extremely depressed, after the infusion I feel like I was living with a loudspeaker blasting noise in my ears 24/7 and suddenly it gets turned off.

Ketamine basically works through the alteration of consciousness and the associated ego dissolving effect which made me realise i may be the artist formally known as "god". Therefore i can do anything. This change of mindset is what lifts people out of depression allied with exercise, diet and meditation

SSRI’s have a lifespan. Had an incredible five years in the late 1990’s with Paxil. Nothing has really worked since then. Twenty etc treatments did nothing. Wouldn’t recommend etc. lost some memory.
I think the future of psychiatry will move away from traditional SSRI’s

Depression, PTSD and Anxiety and 2 weeks of infusions did nothing but make me stoned and dizzy. My anxiety is now actually worse.
That’s pretty scary.
Ketamine has the ability to essentially lower your mind’s egoic defenses as old patterns of behavior begin to shift, this is one possibility for your spike in anxiety. 2 weeks in sounds reasonable for this experience to begin, if one is able, see it through a little longer to find out what happens. It’s an experiment to begin with. I’ve been doing ketamine since December and initially I was totally overwhelmed and thought I wouldn’t be able to continue, but I was able to push through. It’s not for everyone though, this is certain.

How did it go? Knowing that it might cause negative effects and actually cause opposite effects of what is intended (instead of anti-depressant effect it might cause depression and instead of brain growth it might cause damage to the brain) might be enough for many to prevent abuse. The damage to the bladder and so on might be the scariest thing if used far beyond prescribed. It's also quite a weird drug, so even tho it might be comfortable to take (compared to other psychedelic drugs) it's not necessarily the most fun and practical drug in terms of recreational use. I know it's sometimes been used as a party drug but I think most people wouldn't really be able to see it that way, it's probably often combined with stimulants to make it work as a party drug in which case that might be extremely bad for the brain.
Did it work good
Nasal spray is not advised as Ketamine should be dosed based on weight of the subject. With a nasal spray you are venturing into uncontrolled dosages.

@@garysimone4977 ketamine has been dosed by Anasthesiologists since the Vietnam War. The dosage is based on the effect on Glutamate in the brain. Too much can create a "bad trip" or cause damage to the Liver as is usually the case with recreational users of special-k

Maybe it’s me, but this guy seems to be underplaying the sea-change potential benefits of ketamine for depression. Could this dr sound less excited and optimistic? Geez. :/ Just my two cents.
Basically hes representing the boomers who had ketamine as young adults but dont wamt us to have it even if its more effective for depression than hundreds of “cutting edge” drugs

@@starkravenmad3206 Hi Stark.. I have had it some, and am exploring it further. I don’t feel I’ve had enough yet to say whether or not it has that level of a benefit for me yet. But I want to find out. And I’ve read about many people who have had amazing recoveries with it. I just think it cold have been brought up as an option- to em but especially to my son, who died by suicide in 2021.
@@juliawilkinson I'm so sorry to hear that especially when ketamine, or the nasal version of it is supposed to be especially good for those in immediate crisis. People who don't have depression, don't understand how tragic it is even for those who don't commit suicide. I think calling it "depression" is a huge disservice. I hope you can find help with your treatments. I still not have decided.
They are kind of underplaying the fact that this stuff at doses used for depression plunges people into deep lucid dream visionary states of consciousness that can be blissful or utterly harrowing depending on set or setting.
That's true but many drugs can do that, even Cannibis...if u take a drug like this it's part of the risk.. living wit depression is not exactly a joy ride...

@@scottcampbell5536 for me if it works for even a moderate amount of time it is well worth it considering all the money I’ve spent on psychiatrists, therapists, and different meds. Not to mention the absolute hell I go through including wasted time in bed or on the sofa. I know it’s expensive but if it works I’ll get the money. I know what a good life is and this ain’t it.
