    This is a wonderful series...glad you are repeating some things. I missed them the first time around. Even if I had seen them I’d appreciate a refresher. I like seeing how and what you do. I’m gessoing over a page of print in the altered book I’ve been working on. I love painting anything, even with gesso or glue, as long as I’m wielding a paint brush I’m happy. 😁 It’s very soothing.
    Your creative efforts are a great gift to us. Thanks.

    I'm like you and am very 'matchy matchy". When others do random pieces, it looks amazing. When I do it, not so much. LOL. Love this little favorites series that you are doing. So inspirational!

      It’s funny isn’t it? Other people seem to be able to carry the eclectic mix off really well, but like you when I try it, it just doesn’t seem to look so good. I am thrilled that you have been enjoying the series x

    Hi Tina, I really like making snippet rolls. Like you, I use coordinating colors and make the roll to match the colors on a journal that I’m working on. Yours came out so pretty! I live the little bow. For such a small piece, I think it added so much to the roll. Hugs 🤗

    I'm amazed sewing through the glue wasn't an issue, especially as it is a thicker glue. Does it mess up your needle or feed plate with glue? It turned out great...very pretty. I think you should show us more on making and using these. TFS Tina. Stay safe. (I'm feeling a little better about the covid situation now that vaccines are available *I got my first shot in a series of two and will be going in for my second shot in a couple of weeks*) our kids are part time online learning and part time in the classroom. It's difficult when they can't go to school, for them and the parents. But we do what must be done. Love your videos btw.😊

    • @shabbydabbydoodah
      @shabbydabbydoodah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Touch wood the glue seems fine with the sewing machine. It dries super fast too. Fantastic news that you have already had your first vaccine, hopefully this is the light at the end of the tunnel that we all need so much. Yes it’s really difficult with the kids being at home, for both them and us parents. They are missing out on so much learning and the social thing too. I worry about the longer term problems for their mental health. Thank you for your kindness always x

    • @shabbydabbydoodah
      @shabbydabbydoodah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, I am not a sewing expert to be honest, but I don’t think a back stitch is necessary here, especially as more often than not we would be cutting into the snippet roll, and then they wouldn’t have been back stitched x

    Hello, love your videos. I just wanted to tell you to please stop sewing on fabric with wet fabric tac
    It is going to gum up the machine it will ruin the machine, it is better to use a glue stick, unless you totally let the fabric tac dry.

    • @laurettechandlerthevintage3022
      @laurettechandlerthevintage3022 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kimberly fabri tac was made to use as a way to tack down zippers and hems etc… and then sewn on a sewing machine so it was specifically made to be used that way. Somehow journal makers found it and use it as paper glue which works great that way too. Tina isn’t using much here and should have no problems with her machine.
