  • It’s been over 6 years since I started this youtube channel, but I’ve never filmed any behind the scenes action at the Proko Studio. In this vlog I’ll talk about how I started my company while living with my parents, give you a tour of the current office, introduce you to the Proko crew, and show you my brand-spanking-new giant studio space! I started watching your you tube videos about 3 months ago because I wanted to learn to draw better and have come to love and appreciate what you have done Stan. Your videos are instructive, fun and funny. I especially like your Michael Scott and HP references. You remind me of my kids, who are about your age with new families as well. I am so glad you are finding success and was glad to see this "history" lesson. I just signed up for the premium course and am having a ball! Best of luck to you and your's and continued success!!

I'm so thankful for Proko, his passion and his enthusiasm for teaching drawing. His portrait series was what really got me started into drawing people/portraits. Amazing how Stan's growth on TH-cam also give opportunities for others. Other big TH-camrs upgrade their initial equipment setup and that's it. From your humble beginnings, at your parents, to your studio/headquarters of today, you made your 'dream' a reality along with the great team you've assembled. You're an incredible dedicated artist, and now even collaborating, for sometime, with other wonderful artists on your channel. PROKO does a great service to the artistic community, worldwide, with your high quality art instruction. And I certainly wish you, your team; your entire endeavor, much continued success. You've earned it. Again...great story....and truly inspiring! Very glad I caught this video. Best wishes!

I loved this one! It was SO much like my own Studio Journey, the many "creative" ways artists come up with utilizing whatever space is available, in order to "carry on." Often I worked on the hood of my Dad's car, at camp down in the woods. Those times it was painting/decorating buffalo skulls... Another time I did small "reverse painting
on glass" restorations for a museum in Reichdad, that had suffered damage during the war in Germany... on a board laid across shelved pantry walls. Tiny closet space. And of course, attics & dungeon walled cellars. 😄 What a journey! Thank-you for sharing yours

STAN, I'm positive you've already thought of this but, If you're doing a concrete finish for floors, while doing live recordings, your mic's might pick up unwanted sounds like footsteps. {High heels, boots, flip flops, sandals, guests entering the studio, surroundings chatter, running water, toilet flush and the like...} There are high ceilings, and if the walls to your partitions aren't insulated or you have no ceiling cap or monoglass, those "outside" sounds could end up on filming. Perhaps a "recording light outside the door visible to all staff... like an X-Ray in use sign... minimize lost time or editing and perhaps, carpet runners to reduce the sound bounce.. I know you said your'd address the echo factor... but then when you said, you're doing a concrete floor, I thought, I should say something.
Very happy to see you and your team come so far. I've learned a ton from you all, and can't wait for more future material and content. Cheers Stan and Crew.
