I want to take out the battery that comes with it and put in a 52v or 60v one. I have the Amyet S8 dual motor?
52V you will be ok. 60V will melt wires and burn out control

Thank you so much for this information. So the additional battery should add an extra 10-15 miles in terms of length of ride. I wanted to ask - I have a chronic illness that sometimes causes me to be extremely tired. However getting out and getting air on my bike is truly one of the things that makes me happy. Is this battery giving 10-15 miles more the max I could add without having to preform major surgery on the bike? Or is there one that might give even a couple more miles range that you would recommend? Thank you for any advice you can offer. Just want to do my best to ensure I can go ask long as I need to - or even just be able to get home in case of emergency.
You could squeeze out 20 miles with this battery if you drop from PAS 5 to 4. Or buy large battery from 10Ah to 15Ah
I must have missed a step. The toggle switch turns battery #2 on and off, but you said you run the first battery down, then go to 2. How do you turn battery #1 off so it doesn't go to zero?
The factory battery has on/off switch on the hard shell
i would like to install a new throttle as the twist throttle hurts my hand, but can’t find any thumb throttles with the pass button. Do you know how to do this? or is it just not possible.
you have to live with is as the PAS button is on the throttle. what I do on long straightaways I let go of the throttle and barely pedal enough so the cadence sensor is activated and bike will propel itself without the use of throttle
Hey B Rich! I just got my ridstar q20 and followed your assembly video, and I have the bike turned on but for some reason the throttle is not doing anything. I am not sure why this is the case and I have all the settings the same as this video, but for some reason the throttle is just not working. I know it has nothing to do with the battery as the display and the lights all work, but like I said I just don't know about the throttle. Please, if you can help me at all let me know! I commented this on another video but wanted to reach out as much as I could.
I had this happen to me with emoko c91 ebike and needed a new throttle. Does the motor work when pedaling? If so then ask seller for new throttle
It will start up jus a bit and then will stop. Even at higher speeds. Is there any way I could contact you out of comments to talk more about a solution? I really want to avoid having to send it back or fix any parts and I am not sure if I am just turning the bike on wrong or what.@@BRichSolution

To be clear, that battery combiner allows you to use 2 different volt batteries at the same time? So if you had a 36v and a 48v battery what would be the output of the combiner?
In theory yes, but if you use 36V battery with 48V it will not last long as low voltage on 48V controller is 40V so as 36V battery full charge (42V) will cut out quick

Because the combiner is basically wiring them in parallel so you get more Amp hours rather than more voltage.

Are you in the USA or Europe? I had another ebike that i had to pedal before throttle would work at 8kph for safety reasons

I just carry the charger with me. I have a 120 volt computer charger that's rated for the bike charger.

Faster will suck more power from the battery and diminish your range. With 48V battery fastest you can go is 32-33mph. Even $5000 super73 ebikes only go 32 mph unlocked. To go faster you need 52V or 60v and that gets expensive

Wont this be harmful to the controller at is only rated for 28 amp hours and it now has 35?
There is no change to current or amps its still at the factory 22amp but the battery capacity Amp-hours (Ah) will increase like adding extra gas can to a dirt bike
Please Do a review on the new Ouxi V8 2.0 Its The ouxi v8 but upgraded in almost all aspects. For example it has another design to it and it has hydraulic brakes. it has all the good things to it i hope to hear from u soon!😁
The upgraded brakes are good thing. The ouxi v8 is great but there are a lot of ebikes in the market in that price point are faster, better range. Amyet G60 or Ridstar Q20

I purchased 2 of the Dual Battery Pack Switch Balancers at 40 A each ,2 Large Current On-Off Electric Power Switch with XT60 Plug, and 2 of the H HAILONG 48V 20 A Ebike Battery for 2 AMYET S8 e-bikes. Do I have everything I need for a complete setup, or is there anything else required?

@@BRichSolutionfor perspective I put a 52v battery in a Gotrax R1 which has a 350w motor with a 500w peak and went from 19mph to 25mph..And it's my daily commuter. No issues. These motors are tanks.
My friend I want to combine stock batery with a 52v if I drive with one batery of and when the other is low on batery I'll turn it off and the other batery on, is it possible?

Extra battery setup will work on Amyet S8. You can run both batteries as the same time. I like the preference of being able to run one and not the other and giving a battery a break to level out the chemistry

No seat is not needed to removed when charging there is cable that in the bag with the battery easy to charge extra battery

E10 is most likely communication error. Ask seller or Manufacture for help

Hey B rich, I commented on my other account about a problem I am having with the ridstar q20. I know the problem now is that the brakes are constantly telling the bike they’re applied, so the throttle cannot activate via the safety feature. Do you know which setting turns this off or if it is possible to?
Hey anyone who is having the same problem. There are small buttons under the brake levers which are held down when the brakes are supposed to be off, so a negative feedback system. On my bike the buttons were not orientated right and never got held down, so the bike always thought the brakes were activated. To fix my bike all I had to do was move the buttons to make sure they are held closed when the brakes are off and now it works.
Try flicking the brake lever and see if it comes unstuck. If that doesn’t work unplug brake lever cut off wires from controller one by one to see which leveler is causing the issue

S8 range is not great with one battery and two motors?
@@BRichSolution I have the S8, range is ok with one battery and using a mixture of rear motor and dual motor, and only occasional full throttle. I can ride for a couple of days and have a lot of fun going fast, but not constantly full throttle. It will go about 20 miles with a mix of riding fast and just cruising around at 20-25mph on the rear motor only.

Why not throw a 52v or 60v battery on it and crack 40mph???
Not sure controller can handle the extra voltage and I can’t seem to source a replacement controller easy. The other issue is running factory 48v battery with 52V or 60V you need to be careful with a good battery combiners that higher voltage doesn’t transfer to lower voltage factory battery
