TH-cam has existed since 2004, and yet Magic Johnson still doesn't have a highlight video showing off his skills in game, much less one just dedicated to his college career in general. MerkinMuffy has made a fantastic Larry Bird tribute, there's that awesome "Michael Jordan Begins" two-parter that shows off all of MJ's skills at UNC, and Pete Maravich has at least 3 good videos. Kareem lacks a good highlight video, but that's to be expected of a player from the 60's. But Magic played at a time when college basketball was far more popular than the NBA, so there's really no excuse for there to be as little footage of Magic available as there currently is (the 1979 title game and one full game against Purdue that's coaches film). So I decided to make a Ballislife-style video tribute to the Magic man. When I have thousands of dollars to shell out to Footballvideos.com, I can gather coaches film and make a NPZ kind of video showing off his skills in game. If you haven't seen NPZ's Magic Johnson highlight video, you really should. It's a masterpiece and the definitive Magic highlight video. With all of that said, I hope that you enjoy the video, and as always, please let me know who you would like to see next. - PockyCandy -
Thank you for posting this! I was lucky enough to see 5 games live at Jenison Fieldhouse when Magic was a Spartan. Had the pleasure of meeting Magic during the Championship year as well. We knew he was a once in a lifetime player- and were so happy to have him as a Spartan. He put Michigan State Basketball on the map- even some of the lean years they were part of the conversation thanks to Magic. As far as the NBA- he could have played anywhere and cameras and fans would have followed. But he was born for LA and showtime. Magic and Kareem made the 80's great- and it was even tough to watch Magic lose to the Pistons- who I love dearly. Thanks Earvin for the joy you show us while you played the game, and, the joy you gave us.
I saw about 10 of Earvin Johnson's games in junior high, about 30 in high school and about 40 in college, including the Magic-Bird game in Salt Lake City.
Its funny how in today's game they talk about "unicorns" when in fact they mean another Magic Johnson. Because there is no one like him. No one. And there won't be another one like him.
If Magic would have played college ball with a shot clock and three point shot he wouldn't have lost 11 games in two years and would have earned two National championships
Magic wanted to play a run and gun offense even at MSU but Judd was old school and made him play 'normal'...until Central Michigan decide they could run on MSU. BIG mistake. Judd let the horses loose and Spartan speed and ball handling buried them. These are great highlights but only touch on what Magic brought to that team.

Magic Johnson The Greatest Point Guard of All Time

This is pure gold
Some might even call it.......magical.
Nice choice of music
Who made the music?
It’s like typical highlight music but it’s so perfect
It's hard to believe they packed that many people into Jenison. 12,000 people inside an old brick building had to be ear splitting.
I’m a Michigan State Spartans fan so to me he was the best of all goats at MSU go green 🏀🏀🏀🏀💚💚💚💚💚💚
I now I’m late but go white
Same
Better than Scott skile; just joking; he was great his last year
Go green, go white! Go spartan nation!!!
Without a doubt! 💪🏿
The man who single hand rely put Michigan state on the map.... Earvin the magic Johnson... all he knows is how to win!
Magic always had a nice hook shot
Most players peak in high school he got better & better
Your comment don't make sense
He'd have to have had the most fun in all of sports for any sports player ever
Brilliant video and music

Magic and Larry made NBA great throughout the 80s
Perfect music. Smooth!! like magic.
The Legendary Dominic Artis Summer Mixtape music 😂 always loved this beat
GOAT PG
Original 6 feet 8 inches point guard
Congratulations to the Spartans! Good luck in the Final Four! Way to take out Duke & Zion!
This is beautiful--where can I find the instrumental you used?
Here's the song: th-cam.com/video/W_m6aLcCXxc/w-d-xo.html
POETRY IN MOTION....MAGIC!
Showtime was East Lansing! 💪🏿💪🏿
Btw i like that beat for the background
00:32 Did magic bounce it off that guys head, catch it, then lay it up? Boss haha
HE SURE DID. I thought you were high🤣
these guys look taller than the guys in the NBA now but I think the short shorts might help add some sense of height
If Magic would have played college ball with a shot clock and three point shot he wouldn't have lost 11 games in two years and would have earned two National championships
please tell me do you all feel like magic johnson was the most elite with his high school michingan state or the lakers
nice very nice video of the magic show I think Spartans is going to win it all this year anyway since they beat Duke

Emoni Bates is up next!
