    Yess, some original stoof, I liked this alot man, pls do more! The best plays i've seen from you so far tbh, makes a difference when you're not streaming I suppose. Q8s OB early on is nice, and KTs on the Q river is spot on
    I still have some notes though of course ;)
    K5s 1:20 - OB turn
    56s 2:30 - you can probs stab turn for half once he checked flop and plan to barrel all rivers
    JJ 16:45 - You have to raise with JJ here, make it a size they cant call a hand like KQo, so many flops you have to x/f, if youre just calling JJ here and people see this (as in they watch this video or your streams) then people can just min raise your UTG with 100% range profitably
    A4s 19:20 - This turn bet seems a bit of a punt, he shouldnt have many folds in this spot, AK that he didnt 3bet pre? AJ/ATcc? Thats about it, all his PP should be calling and his AXss can continue a decent chunk. Id rather you have A4hh if youre gonna fire here, you can always bet river if you get checked too. B-X-B is a better bluff line than B-B-F which is what you sounded like you were gonna do. You also get to see a free river. Your bluffs here should be spades, Ax with A spades 89, T9 TLDR : You're overbluffing if your bluffing A4dd in this spot as you block a decent amount of his folds
    77 22:30 - I wouldnt hate to see a hero or at least to hear you explain that he will be bluffing some of the times on this runout. You look exactly like the hand you have when you bet flop and check turn. If he has AK,KQ here then he also has AJ,AQ. If he went closer to half pot, id have liked to have seen a call. Vs this big sizing, fold is correct although it does still look very bluffy as him betting AK to this sizing given the action seems very greedy.
    K9s 23:00 - I would like to have seen you attack this smaller sizing, villain will be betting range and a raise with a decent equity hand is the play here precisely because of the type of turn that came, you have to x/f turn so often.
    JJ 24:40 - With J hearts Id be more than happy to get it in OTF, without call is probably fine although getting it in is never an awful play. You can make a very disciplined fold OTT as this turn isnt one that people will be bluffing on. As played, fold river. You talk about needing a call down range here? No we dont. If hes finding a bluff with like AQhh or value betting JThh on a paired board , let him have his money, this is always very strong value once he bets river.
    J8s 27:30 - Dont OB on turns where you have no bluffs, here for example, you have no bluffs, makes it super easy to play against. Youre not gonna be OB AT or 7x OTT so why the flush, you look super nutted.
    78 29:00 - You say we don't really need to raise here? Why? Our hand is way ahead of his range (even on the larger sizing) and needs a load of protection. If he calls you can see all 5 cards easily as his range has been filtered heavily and can pick off some bluffs from missed draws OTR. Fold OOT as played is very nitty nicky boy, Clubs,89,9T,45 etc especially when you your range is capped as you didnt raise flop
    QQ 33:30 - Min 3bet OTF is the play here, easy fold vs jam and gets more value vs his PP. I would tag this guy as a decent reg at least btw just for having a raising range there and raising to a correct sizing
    Alot of this stuff is quite close to how you played it and, barring a few spots, I think you played well.
    GG

      Thanks mate! Classic Hurley, you love to see it. Glad you liked my play mostly! It is definitely easier to think about spots on 2 tables and not streaming but hey, I've chosen this life. I'll reply to the ones that I have something to say about and the others just assume I can see your point!
      JJ: Don't think I'm overly concerned about people min 3 betting me after seeing this lol. I agree this is close and likely a 3bet, but I do think I'm getting a lot of calls regardless of sizing at this stakes and I'll be in a lot of tough spots OOP. I do like seeing the flop with 2 sticky opponents and set mining, but 3bet certainly has its obvious merits.
      A4s: I've been experimenting with a few turn barrels in these spots recently on some advice I got last week. It's not a spot I'd have chosen before this to be honest but I'm just not sure how much Qx is floating flop and I think this deep, this pool is overfolding those pairs you are talking about him calling with. I agree that I may need to barrel river rather than give up but I think the card is better for me and I may have too many bluffs, but this is exploiting tendencies here. Interesting though.
      77: I haven't seen this guy get out of line and the stats are very nitty. You're right it's worth talking about but I don't think talking myself into a call here will win very much vs this guy.
      K9s: Interesting, bit concerned about how often I would be doing this if I do it here but we do have a lot of 5x obviously. Don't mind it.
      JJ: I just think it's worth talking about what kind of hands make sense to call with, and I think this has to be one of our best ones. No, I don't expect to win very often, but I am only calling with JJ or QQ without a heart and blocking a club, which is very few hands obviously. I think this feels fine as a call and, as I said, I think we are folding all but TT if we fold here with this being such a good call down hand.
      J8s: I hesitated on this to think what I'd bluff with and just thought I had a decent amount of Acx that will block some calls downs also that might make sense to do it with. I agree I'd prefer to 75% in hindsight.
      78o: Raise flop is good I think and I would prefer that marginally. Turn I rolled but certainly reasonable to pure call. Just not sure how often our opponent cares about us being 'capped' and 2 barrels seems strong to me, so I didn't want to call with all my 87.
      QQ: He has a few too many 8s on a dry board for my liking, and I think he would fold all his low equity bluffs vs raise. Think I like keeping all that in and saving money vs an 8, but reasonable for sure.
      Thanks for the support as always mate, always love to see you on the stream and on here, really adds to it all.

      @@eastyyy22 Hey man, love your stuff and appreciate this is an old comment. If you do see this i'd be keen to get your thoughts on flatting a min raise in this kind of situation. I know there's around 1/8 odds of flopping a set with pocket pairs so wondering if it could be a profitable play to flat min raises and set-mine?

    • @eastyyy22
      @eastyyy22  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robd1381 Cheers Rob! My thoughts on this haven't changed too much but I do think there are situations where flatting a hand like this could be okay. If it's a weaker player opening, then they are less likely to make deductions about what your flat means for your hand, and your set is more likely to get paid. I'd also want to be sure that players behind me don't have high squeeze percentages, allowing us to see the flop more, and ideally for these players to be fish also. The main issue with flatting is that 1) Unless all players are fish we need to build a flatting range with more hands on the CO like QJs, and this complicates our strategy at low stakes unnecessarily, and 2) we don't always get to see the flop cheaply, we don't always get paid when we hit a set, and sometimes we get coolered by bigger sets/straights/flushes. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

  • @MrRickyt88
    @MrRickyt88 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting check on river with set. I would think flushdraws usually check back blocking folds like your missed flushdraws. I think it’s okay though if you think they bluff flushdraws and aren’t good enough to exploitatively call or jam wider on your weaker river betting range.

    Hey, the spot with JJ at around 26:00
    Do you think villains on NL10 are capable of turning something like flopped top-2 (T9) into a bluff on the river? I think it's a reasonable bluff in theory, but am not sure if an average player on NL10 can make it. If they are capable of doing it then JJ are even more a call, right?

    Very interesting approach. Its quite different to the Blackrain79's kind of maniacal style, which i find to be difficult sometimes for new players with no experience of millions of hands in the micros like me. To be fair, he makes videos for lower stakes, and not zoom. Anyways, keep it up!

My range at button for instance is: 22+, 86s+, 98off+. Cutoff: K10off+, 98s+,22+.Same range from small blind. EP: KQoff+, KJs+, 66+. Only 3-betting for value (strong hands plus strong connectors and 77+ from button). Not opening pocket 2-5 from EP because they are break even EV or worse in most situations.

    In my experience, when villain donks on wet boards, it's usually 2 pairs+... They are probably worried you will check back with your entire range, hence donking allows them to get more value from overpairs. I don't think villains donk bet enough draws to balance out their value range, so in the 89T hand, you can probably fold on the turn, since the board paired and you could be drawing close to dead against a boat.
    Also, I wouldn't really call a straight draw on a turn with 2 flush draws as any river that completes any flush and gives you a straight could be devastating (reverse implied odds)

    • @nicholasngzhuoxun385
      @nicholasngzhuoxun385 ปีที่แล้ว

      But then again, microstakes depend a lot on player type... If player is an aggro maniac, then yeah a call is warranted

    I'd love to hear some tips about controlling tilt, since that's the main drawback in my game. I have huge tilt issues. I was properly bankrolled playing nl10 online and was up 70 bucks in the first 2 days. Third day took some bad beats, started losing, and started tilting bad. Started playing in higher stakes "to recover the losses", and lost my entire bankroll in 3 days. I'd love to hear some opinions and tips to fix this

    • @eastyyy22
      @eastyyy22  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks very much! First and foremost, do not play through tilt. Take frequent breaks and when you notice your game dropping below its best, you have to stop. Never change the stakes you are playing to chase losses and always play within your bankroll. You are going to have days where you lose through no fault of your own, it's unavoidable. You can't afford to have losing days that are your fault on top of that. Good luck!

      Don't just look at wins and losses, look at how long you play. Most players play short winning and long losing sessions, if you try consciously to do the opposite you should improve your win rate.

      @eastyyy22  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's just so we aren't doing certain things too often. For example, if we are 4b bluffing AQo from certain spots with all combos then we're bluffing too much, so we mix between the options. Hope that makes sense.

      @eastyyy22  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@omerlaleli Low numbers I won't do things. Usually I'll mix half/half but sometimes I'll do things less often. So in the same example if I want to 4b AQo half the time and roll a 40, I'm not doing it.

    Started playing 2003 and went pro 2008-2015 with six figure income every year.
    I quit professionally 2015 and i'm just playing PL omaha /Razz with some SD from time to time.
    The game was so pure before software and solvers became a thing. It ruined the game and takes absolutely ZERO skill to use.
    The most annoying thing is that most of these streamers or lowpros actually are pure shit at the game. Many times they make decisions thanks to the HUD.
    When Nick or whoever then tries to motivate their decision it's extremely flawed or doesnt make sense. That's what we are seeing today. A lack of understanding of the game and a robotic approach to it.
    Fine, but don't ramble with your flawed logic or absolutely shocking lack of understanding of what you are doing.
