Mobius poker mentions this is a pitfall of many poker players, they are distracted by videos or their phone while playing poker
@@warrenbluffit2048100% true but videos or distractions can also make you not punt, or play hands just to play hands
Phil, I really appreciate your videos and what you teach. I apply what I learn from your videos in live poker and maybe variance hasn't caught up with me, but I am a significant winner from it.

You’re very welcome!
Bro Thankyou!
Hey Phil.. I dont really expect a reply, but would appreciate one. How u feel about the open limp? I been playing alot lately, and I usually raise or fold pre.. but ive started limping pockets pairs from earlier positions.. 2's-6's. U think its best to fold those? Or just raise and if U get 3 bet go set mining and if u brick just fold? What u think
Phil, just want to let you know I personally appreciate you reminding us to like and subscribe. I like all your videos but rarely remember to hit the like button.
You should start streaming on twitch or kick Would be fun watchinh you live, to Ask questions or something like that
55 minutes in, you just blew my mind by describing my BIGGEST challenge. Power... I was describing my current issue as a lack of focus but I think the real answer is that I am inconsistent in my power levels.
GOAT 💯
Oh lawd, phil posted

🤙🤙🤙 good stuff
Salut. Tu devrais faire une vidéo sur les joueurs de poker qui étais riche et qui sont tout perdu. Merci
Do you have a "hack" for over thinking fun players?
Best 3 hours spent in a long time.
When was the last time you played low limit poker? Honestly? If its been a long time, would things be different now vs the past? 1:03
Things are the same today.
In our weekly home tourney, usually 17--25 players, we chop top two with 3rd getting double their buy-in back. to save time. I was doing okay there, then I made two adjustments. I quit bluffing, and I stopped slow playing my big hands. Someone always calls. I chopped 5 of the next 6 weeks and I think I was 8/12 at one point. Only person I told about my change was my wife. She has chopped twice as well. It works, and I will keep using it until it doesn't.
I'm not good at math, but how is it possible to have 200 Top 5s? 🤪
Yes
How does Phil know how to crush low stakes? Serious question. Mass data analysis?
There's population tendencies. Ie. Low stakes, mid and high.
So yes, there is population analysis on each

Phil, your free book link is broken
I'm linking this clip at second 10, just because.... #therealphil
(can't give more props than this)
I've actually noticed the opposite. At low stakes, particularly 1/3, them calling with 5 people behind is pretty much the same as them calling to close the action. At 30bb+ minimum ($100 min at 1/3), they like calling just about any two cards, praying for trips or 2 pair. I like to raise often to get them to fold. They usually won't pay $20 for what they were hoping to get for $3
I take Phil’s opinions vs yours sorry
We do respect your different perspectives
Haha, I got a set I gotcha lol

Yvw!!
Yes thank you for the vid. Now can you make it unlisted so the fish don't get better please :O
I think that you are wrong here Phil; if no blinds, playing only AA's is not the only play nor the best play. If you only play AA's then you become exploitable. In position, I can play AA's too and balance it with some suited connectors and exploit you. Of course, I'm not gonna play every suited connectors, they will be very few too.
Regarding the first comment about only playing Aces if there are no blinds, that’s not how things would work in real life. While it’s true you could make money with 100% certainty, only losing when your Aces get cracked, no one in real life would fold 200 hands to wait for Aces because that would be incredibly boring and people value their time. If you only played super tight in a no blind/ante game, you could 100% make money, but it would be unbearably boring. So assuming the states were small enough, I’m guessing the game wouldn’t play all that differently (for low stakes, which is what this comment was about).
Of course, Phil’s comment is 100% mathematically correct, but I think in real life, in low stakes games (super low, where the money lost is inconsequential), the game would play similarly with no blinds to go after, even though mathematically speaking such a game should result in no action.
Best tip I’ve ever heard is be named phil
If there is no downside to conversation, how can there be an upside?
You spoke of con artists being charming, didn’t you live with Tom Dwan?…
Polorized?
Your 1st example about only playing aces is nonsense
It clearly went over your head.
Phil that nose has been asking for a bit of plastic suegery for ages... it's time you tackle that. Use a few high stakes big blinds
waiting for hands costs us time.... might as well go to a minimum wage job and get paid for time.
Your first tip is absolutely wrong. The majority of low stakes cash game players open very tight. You clearly have not played low stakes cash recently.
Sounds like you are very close minded and are taking the tight games you play in and assume that all low stakes players play tight. This is just not true. Listen to people that are better than you and open your mind. Great things will happen. Don’t pretend you know everything.
@@Vegaspoker91I play on bovada and about 30% of the player pool opens with a 23vpip or lower … every site is different. There’s tons of tag/nits . The numbers don’t lie. You’re going out here calling people close minded when you don’t know how people play in their own games.
I notice winning low stakes players open tighter but the vast majority open very loose and constantly make blunders pre and post flop
They opening range varies, however in low stakes the calling and limping range is extremely wide.
Their 3bet 4bet range is tight, but opening range is disgustingly loose from what I see
@PhilGalfond have you ever played with omaha4rollz?
