Bryan, you have done it again, with the help of your comical sidekick Burt, by bringing to your subscribers', through your research, new innovative tools that benefit the woodworker. We appreciate your continued presentation of quality inexpensive tools that we can rely on with an economic value that doesn't break the bank. These are not just another cheap piece of crap from overseas that falls apart even before the first time used. Thank you, Ken from Mobile, AL.
Thank you so much for that Ken! Really appreciate it. I will say, I do get some real bad ones now and again, and those don't get any video time. TOTALtLY AGREE! I couldn't believe how much some of the tools were to get started woodworking. One of my goals with this channel is to continue to find affordable options. There is a place for the more expensive ones, but for most of us. We are going to make errors whether the tools are $1000 or $100! Thanks so much for watching Shelleyeisele!
I am retired and enjoy watching videos on woodworking. I still have a shop with a full compliment of tools. I have made tons of jigs to make my work easier. I have some hanging on the wall of my shop still. Your videos showed me how much easier and faster I could have turn out work if I had a few of the tools you showed in your video. I really enjoyed this video.
That honing guide has some interesting features, really like the wide range of widths it will accommodate. Wish I had known about this guide before I bought another brand/model. Thanks for the video and have a great weekend
I know I felt the same way about the honing guide. Really nice to see one with this many features at a decent price. thanks as always for watching Pat, and have a great weekend!

Excellent and informative video. I was impressed and try to order some of the GoHelper tools. Problem is, some of them are no longer available.....Any ideas???????? Thx. Phil
Thanks so much for watching Phil, yeah, I'm not sure what happened. Others have mentioned that they are out of stock as well. I'm going to send them an email to see when they plan on having more inventory. Thanks again for watching, really appreciate it!
I just received my Gohelper Framing Square Fence ordered over Prime Days this year. I look forward to using to avoid F.S.F. in the near future. I may even get that Honing Guide since it seems so much simpler to set up than my new YeopAsda Knife Sharpening Stone Set. That good looking 3D Measuring Guide won't fit in my Husky tool drawers so I may have to build a new shed to reorganize my tools.
FSF is the worst! :). Love the honing guide. I started out with the veritas after that cheep blue one I show in the video. It works but it's not the easiest to set up. Has a lot of stability issues as well. Thanks so much fro watching ManWorkingHere! Have a reat weekend!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork I have one from Saker that has the large roller, and I have one cheaper one with the narrow because I know people use it to make cambered irons, but I haven’t gotten any good at cambering a plane iron yet
@@liquidrockaquatics3900 Oh nice, Didn't even think about the cambered irons. I suppose that is why a lot of the manufacturers have a smaller roller. I've not really used a cambered iron at all, so hand't really had a need for that type of sharpener.

I disagree. The guy has a happy/cheery way of putting his videos across-the t- shirts too are brilliant. Just some humor to make his output a little distinct from others.
I want to see Bryan and his cousin in a "build off" where Bryan does it with all the hundreds of specialized tools and his cuz completes it with simple tools that are easily accessible to anyone. Excellent question. I thought they were all quite durable. I even may have dropped them on the floor a few times while making this video. Didn't notice any problems at all. The packaging was good on all of the tools. The 3D square was probably the least impressive packaging but it did hold up and was in good condition when I got it. Excellent questions and important ones. Thanks so much for watching ntvtxn62!
Someone else mentioned that! They must of ran out of inventory! :(. Hope you like the honing guide that was one of my favorites as well! Thanks so much for watching DHJags1982!
Hi Flynndogg Woodwork I am watching your videos on Gohelper tools, but where can you buy them from, they are not on amazon or anywhere I can find? I look forward to hearing from you.
That's a great question Roy. I haven't seen them anywhere but amazon, and it appears they are sold out right now. I asked the company when they will restock and they said soon. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks so much for watching, really appreciate it!
I purchased the squaring edge thing-a-ma-jig for my 24" framing square from a past video that you did, and it's sweet. I checked for square with my Woodpecker very, very expensive 1812($239) and it's dead on. Thank you for saving me a ton of lolly, cause now I don't have to get the next size up woodpecker version which is probably big $$$. I really appreciate that. I think that every woodworker should fork out a bit of money to buy a true square to check their tools with, but really at a fraction of the cost of woodpeckers, a machinist square will get the job done for around $50-60. I know because I've done both. Wish that I had learned this lesson sooner. In no way affiliated, but for example; -Kinex 4026-12-040 Solid Machinist Square 16" x 10-1/2" (400 x 265 mm) DIN 875/1 (Square w/in 0.0013” over Length of 16" Blade) $47 - Amazon. At 0.0013.That's tighter than Woodpeckers. Comes with no ruler markings, but perfect for checking squares and tools with. I will say that Woodpecker tools are American made, and from what I have heard they treat their employees very well, so if you have the money buy from them. (again, in no way affiliated)
Totally agree with you Gazman! Buy one or two high end squares to test out your other tools. Once you have one, and you can test out your other tools. Makes it a lot easy to trust the cheaper tools you buy. Great comment and thanks for watching!
At my age the extra lead is important. I'm gonna buy several. But really... these seem like excellent buys and I'll be purchasing a few of these items.
I think that I will give that 3D tool a try. I have been wanting a saddle square and this is that and more. I wonder if you have ever thought about this. This tool maker, "Gohelper" and another is "Goingmake". My thoughts are that I would find a name in the language of the country that I was trying to do business with that made a lot more sense. For the US something like Woodsense, Cutpro, Woodworkers Friend etc etc. Instead of the largely nonsensical names they use that scream Made in China.
Haha! I totally agree. GoHelper, Goingmake are almost as bad as a name like Imaketoolforusa. I think the Marketing departments could use a little help from a english speaking native. :). thanks so much for watching Jeff!
Someone else mentioned that as well! I'm not sure what is going on there. I would think it would be cheaper there. Thanks so much for sharing and watching sharing, really apprecxiate it Chris!
Great reviews. I get a little sick of people talking about buying this and that from that place and this place. I lost a really good job more than a year ago and it forced me to start looking at cheaper options. I’ve found so many great things that have helped me along in this woodworking thing. Sure, I’d love to buy the best of the best and support small businesses, American and abroad. I do when I can but it’s just not my realty anymore. Things are getting better but not where they were for sure. In today’s world, it’s impossible not to buy from “evil” countries and outlets. Go buy an all American made phone
I hear you. I'm making less money today than I ever have in my life and I'm finding that a lot of the tools I bought when money was as much of an option don't always justify the high price tag. It's been really interesting to check out these cheaper tools. Thanks again fro watching!
You must be a good salesman. Two of three items I followed your link for (3D Multi Angle Measuring Ruler and Honing Guide System) show as "currently unavailable". And the third I looked at (Small Carpenter Square) cannot be shipped to to my location (Australia)! I like the single long wheel/roller of the honing guide. I have the honing guide you reviewed on 26th August last year, and when I'm sharpening a wide blade, the wheels are barely on the sharpening stone. However, that one has positive stops not only at the places this one has, but also two degrees greater (e.g. both 25° and 27°), for those who want to put a micro-bevel on their blades. Unfortunately neither honing guide caters for the angles of two of the three blades available for the Melbourne Tool Company's low angle Jack plane (which I bought the other day on an Amazon Prime Day sale). It's blades are ground for 25°, 38°, and 50°!
Thank you so much for sharing htis PJRayment! I never thought of that but what a great idea for stops on the microbevel. This si something that would be a great addition to these tools. Thanks so much for metioning and sharing. Really appreciate it!
Good review, Dogg man. Are you sponsored by Hamburger Helper now? Sweet...! Seems to us that Woodpeckers probably makes its own pencils that don't break in those scribe holes (proprietary, no doubt, so much more expensive). Did you say, "my little pointer?" By the way, most of our newest "woodworkers" around here will probably buy that shirt as it is true.
Haha! Now that would be a sweet deal. Hamburger Helper if you are listening. We are 100% open to a sponsorship! :). This is one of my new shirts, Thought it was kind of funny! :). Probably should make one for burt that says will work for spam! :). Hope you are having a great weekend.

@@FlynndoggWoodwork We thought Burt was Spam. Hey, by the way, after all these years you've convinced me, The Meat, to get a honing guide. I used to pride myself on my sharpening skills, but I think a guide will help me get the best out of my spokeshave irons. Thanks, Dogg man...heck, it's only money.
@@themeat5053 you can't take it with you! :). my skills are so bad at sharpening I have to use a guide! :)
@@FlynndoggWoodwork I'll let you know how this one works out. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to guide it with my fingers.
@@themeat5053 That's probably the best way to do it! :). Just takes a lot of experience!
If you're going to include Burt in the videos then we need more bum jokes. Cod, Salmon!
Oh man! Don't give me any ideas! :). Thanks again for watching Gazman!
Like the video, but the cousin stuff can be skipped.
I think it's funny😂
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching Joseph!
“Smells like my ex”! Lmao that was hilarious 😂
Haha! It was a little crude, but hey... so am I :). HTanks as always for watching LordHog
Where are gohelper tools made?
I'm not entirely sure. I think they are definitely an asian country.
When you said you really wish you could rid of your headache I thought for sure you would be kicking Burt out of the garage
Haha! That would probably help as well! Thanks so much for watching LordHog! Really appreciate it as always!
Perhaps this video set off a buying spree as I looked at several tolls linked to Amazon and they're currently unavailable. :(
Oh no! That stinks. Hopefully they get in stock soon. Word must of got out! :). Thanks so much for watching zavoina! Really apprecaite it!
Remind me not to eat anything your cousin cooks 😂
haha! Words to live by portaamber! Thanks so much for watching!
Circular Fish™ 😂
Haha! I've got my attorneys working on that right now! :). Thanks so much for watching jsimes1!
Love your videos. It's really informative, but I think the cousin thing doesn't add anything to the videos. If anything, it makes you spend more time on these videos. Just give us the facts.
Thanks for watching and your feedback.
Looks like you are loosing some weight, great job!! Keep it all up!!
Yes! I've lost about 40 lbs so far. I'm hoping to lose about 40 more. Thanks so much for noticing and watching, really appreciate it Eleevateyourselfdaily!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork totally noticeable, you look great!!
@@FlynndoggWoodworkgood for you! You will feel so much better!
@@1packatak already do! :). All these summer vacations though have made it difficult to loose any weight the last few weeks! :)
@@Elevateyourselfdaily Thanks so much! I appreciate that! :)
2 more Amazon cart additions
Haha! Glad you like them Ken - I owe you a couple of emails. Been busy trying to get my youtube sorted out before I go on vacation next week! Hope you are having a great weekend!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork I thought you already went on vacation. Have fun.
@@kenerickson4923 Yep! :). We just got back from alaska and new headed down south. Usually try to get two in during the summer with the kids!:)
@@FlynndoggWoodwork you will appreciate vacations once you become empty nesters. You and wife can do what you want to do.
@@kenerickson4923 Haha! Oh I bet. We will actually get to do what we want finally! :). Haha, I actually love spending time with the kids right now. They are at the age where they are quite fun to hang out with. Sometimes I think my maturity level is the same as my kids vs. the level of my wife! :)
I really like your opinion on things but can you get rid of the cousin
Thanks for your feedback and thanks for watching spencer!
We could all use a little extra length…
Haha! Ain't that the truth! :). Thanks os much for watching Julian!
You don’t need to sharpen that Kobalt blade until you flatten the back. Yikes
I know, that blade is in bad shape. I use that Kobalt for my demostrations. Probably should get it in working order! :). Thanks so much for watching arsenicjones!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork oh yeah I suppose it is an idea for a TH-camr to keep a low cost beater to demonstrate what that looks like. If I wanted to explain it I’d have a hard time finding a blade in my shop to show what the blade started off like.
@@arsenicjones9125 I wish I could say the same! :). Actually I only have about 5 planes in the shop. 3 of them I keep pretty good, flat backs and nice edges (because I use them). Others are total beaters! :)
😂😂 Headache and clamps and you still managed to record and produce a great video, and no mood swings😂 That's the difference between men and women!
"made with circular fish, tastes like chicken and smells like my ex" 😂 😂 😂
But seriously, Gohelper really are doing well on additional useful features, quality and value.
Fantastic! Thanks for bringing them to us.
Haha! Too funny. Thanks so much for watching and making me crack up this evening! :). Glad someone else has my same sense of humor! Thanks as always for watching Slywolf!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork Always an entertaining pleasure, all the best to the family too.
@@Sly_Wolf_1 :) Thanks so much!
Hilarious irony. First Chinese manufacturers rip off American manufacturers, then Gohelper comes along and rips off the Chinese ripoffs 🤣
Well, I'm not sure what came first the chicken or the egg! :). Thansk for watching Robert
@@FlynndoggWoodwork No worries, I enjoy your videos and your humour it’s a shame we can’t get many of the tools here in the UK.
@@robertneely5148 I hear you. I'm so surprised that you guys don't have more options than we do here in the US! Thanks again for watching!

I love the videos you make, but I would cut out the comedy.
Thanks for the feedback Edmund, and thanks for watching!
Another Chinese knock off brand that resembles an actual tool.
