I don't know if the phrase 'Street Cred' has ever been used in conjunction with both chickens and soap, but as a bonafide chicken lady and fellow soapmaker, I'm living for it! 🐔🥚🤣
Can confirm. We chicken ladies do like our chicken merch. The only problem is when you're the type who likes on specific breed and no one seems to make much for that breed. Which makes me love this more in a way. The egg colors are wild. There really are so many different shades of blues, greens, some are speckled, some are a dark chocolate brown. My grandparent's neighbor specifically bred chickens who laid this beautiful almost emerald green egg that was just lovely.
I agree that the green looks better, but you should try stamping the soap in gold! I think that would look really cool too. I have never had farm fresh eggs, but now I'm super curious to taste the difference between those and grocery store eggs.
9:12 that "hay" looks amazing!!! Such an original texture to soap, at least for me anyway. I've never seen soap textured this way. It's perfect for the chicken soap!
We have been supporting our local chicken people for years now. My husband wants to set up an area of our yard for chickens someday. Also, we LOVE Scarborough Faire! We go every year! We typically go on Deaf Awareness weekend because I’m fluent in ASL.
The soap is really really sweet and good grief, your family is just an endless font of creativity. I have never had chickens or tried farm-fresh eggs but I can't imagine your ladies would be anything but delighted with your loving tribute.
My grandma had this pet chicken as a kid that loved her so much it would cuddle with her at night and she talked about that chicken and how much she loved it her whole life, im sure she would have loved this soap. I love the hay, I think that the texture and the swirls are perfect. I have had farm fresh eggs only twice in my life, but they were always memorable in how delicious they were.
Girl! I am a backyard in town chicken mom. This soap is spot on. I have 3 Easter Eggers and their eggs range from light blue to gold to light pink. Great soap Katie!
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO LOVES PURPLE MARTINS!!!! We have 7 houses, all filled to the point that we've had to buy a new one this year, and they are SO NICE to have as neighbors! No big mosquitoes anywhere (Also no butterflies or dragonflies, but with purple martins being the largest swallows, it would fit they eat the largest bugs)! I hope Caleb finds success in his endeavors!!!
I just moved across the country from Las Vegas to South Carolina and I built a new screened in deck with my dad so we can enjoy our beautiful big backyard.
I've been waiting for this one! My mother-in-law is a chicken lady (her ENTIRE kitchen is full of chicken decor), and it's true, her chickens lay some beautiful, tasty eggies. I hope I can score a bar to send to her.
Hi, Katie! I've been watching for at least 4 years. Not a soapmaker but I make just about anything else you can think of and sell on Etsy. I always appreciate, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this, when you do designs that aren't pink and flowery. For spring, though I live downtown in a big city, I have a porch and am doing some container gardening. It's a balancing act having things that can be tethered down to deter theft. People have even stolen my potted flowers in the past. Thanks for all you do! P.S. the first time I had farm fresh eggs it scared me how orange and gelatinous they were, but now I buy them whenever I can!
Love it! Yes, Ameraucanas lay the light blue or blueish green eggs, so do some of the Easter Eggers, though we had one who laid pink ones. Your mother should try Black Copper Marans if she hasn't, the most beautiful dark chocolate colored brown eggs and barnevelders have beautiful brown speckled ones. And the cheaper white eggs at the store are flavorless because the chickens are horribly mistreated and stressed out. Good for your mom for raising her own with undoubtedly much more compassion.
One of the perks of volunteering for our local animal sanctuary is Egg Collection Duty, and getting first pick of the eggs. I don't know that I could ever go back to eating shop eggs now. And there's a great warm fuzzy feeling that comes from seeing them haul their little floofy butts over in a big hurry when they see me coming with their snacks.
Yes, I have had farm fresh eggs. We’ve raised chickens for about 8 years and the difference in taste to store bought eggs is amazing. The yokes are bright orange instead of yellow. Just crack open a store bought and farm fresh eggs side by side and you will tell a big difference between the two.
You probably won’t see this comment, but I live 15 minutes from Waxahachie and me and my husband are going to make it a tradition to go to Scarborough every year from now on! Maybe I’ll run into you when we go 😊
You need to do another sea glass soap. I've been watching back episodes, of yours, and that one looked so good! I think a yellow/gold stamp would work well for the chicken lady soaps.
What could be better than my favorite TH-cam star making an egg soap while in a thunderstorm?! I mean,I’m on the edge of my seat, praying the power doesn’t go out! Don’t just thank you mom for the free eggs, cause she couldn’t have done it if not for all her ladies 😂. I love this soap collection and love hearing you talk about your life. It’s not fake and it’s just wonderful. We love you Katie!!❤
here in Brazil it’s actually Autumn, and my plans are to enjoy my favorite season by reading a lot of books, drinking tea and hot chocolate. Aaand, I’m in college, so I’ll also spend my time studying.😅
It's so funny because I rarely eat eggs anymore but yesterday my mum and I went to a local café/ shop that focuses on local handmade products/ food and had farm fresh eggs and bacon as a sandwich which was absolutely delicious and I also picked up some handmade soap and a hand lotion bar for the first time ever. It's also the one year anniversary of me adopting my kitty tomorrow so this video is very well timed😂
I'm not a chicken lady per say but I've been helping my folks with their chickens. I've developed a greater appreciation for chickrns and birds in general. Also it's surprisingly cute how some give themselves dust baths.
OMG! I absolutely love how you included golden eggs with your soap. I don't personally own chickens but my Aunt and Uncle did a long time ago and the fresh eggs definitely do taste a lot better than the store bought ones. It's because of the conditions that the hens are put in from when I've heard. Free range eggs are the best. But, I've been playing a lot of The Sims 4 and The Sims 3 and with an expansion for The Sims 4 and I special store bought item for The Sims 3 you can have your sims own a chicken coop and I'm pretty obsessed with that so I definitely love this soap and the idea. Honestly, this whole collection has been pretty amazing so far.
Absolutely Adorable! My daughter is a chicken child. She loves seeing all the diffrent chickens. When I first saw you were making chicken soap I thought you had lost your mind. Now I will be buying some at 3 pm.
I cannot wait for Scarborough Renaissance Festival! It's also one of my favorite spring traditions. This year I am bringing some friends who've never been and I hope they like it as much as I do! Also, Love the Chicken Lady soap... it's probably one of my favs that you've ever done (I don't own chickens but would like to) and the scent sounds so nice!
In my mid teens, we got given a bunch of bantams. Orignally they were meant to be looked after by my little brother, but I turned out to be the chicken girl in chief. I loved those little chooks and they all had names. And for anyone who has never tasted farm fresh eggs, they are amazing. The yolks in ours were almost as deep a yellow as the darker one Katie used.
I have been waiting for this video to drop! Can't wait to get this collection in my hands! Also your mom and I totally rock the same chicken shoes when taking care of our chickens lol
Things aren’t going well for me & my health & my family health but your channel is a welcome relief for a little while. Thank you & everyone at Royalty Soaps because I know it’s a team effort. Thank you all ❤ “Chicken Lovers” is more inclusive than chicken LADY
This soap is SOOO fun!! My brother-in-law has chickens that also lay similar colored eggs! You're right-- NOTHING beats the taste of eggs that are homestead-laid! My little spring project is growing heirloom tomatoes! My white tomesols and gold medals are sprouting, and I'm going to get some soil soon to put them in little seeders to get big roots.
Just finished a craft project (out of my 8 I have going). I made fake stained glass windows for my front door and they make me so happy!! The eggs on top of the soap are so cute, also!! I absolutely love chickens!
Love the chicken soup! My mom grew up on a farm in Tennessee and we were lucky enough to visit most summers and some Christmases. One of my favorite jobs was gathering the eggs from the hen house and enjoying them in the morning scrambled up with sausage and biscuits.
I actually DO have some new projects! One is working with local small businesses to create soaps to represent their businesses. The other is that I'm partnering with a local farm that works with veterans and people in need and selling soaps through their farm store. I absolutely love this soap! Your creativity is ENDLESS, Katie!!!
My sister had chickens til she moved to Vegas. I had a fav, Gertie, til she passed. She laid beautiful green eggs. I love, love, love this soap. Adorable!!!!!
Just had 11 chicks hatch last week and we already have about 20-30 chickens. So yeah I would consider me, my mom and grandma chicken ladys. Love how you included all the different egg colours. So many people don´t know that there are this many colours of eggs, or even chicks, they come in different colours than yellow ^^
I would love to have my own chickens so that I can have fresh eggs for breakfast. 😍 Your soap is so cute! I like both stamp colours but the black one a bit more. ❤ can’t wait to see the final soap! 😊
One of my spring projects is knitting a sweater. I just learned how to knit after having crocheted for 18 years. I’m currently knitting my first sweater. It’s just a practice one, so I’m using all my random extra yarn that I don’t like. It’s pretty ugly but it’s turning into a sweater somehow. After this one I’m going to make one with my good yarn that I’ll actually want to wear. It’ll be maroon, teal, beige, and cream.
I have definitely had farm fresh eggs. I raised goats and chickens growing up. I was even gifted chickens for Christmas twice by my cousins. I also had Easter chickens that laid green and pink eggs.
The eggs remind me of mini eggs (Easter chocolates here in Britain) and they are my fav chocolates! Love this soap so much, perfect for homesteading and for Easter too! 💖
I've been around forever, Katie. Well, at least for a few years. So glad to have been on this journey with you.🥰 As far as spring projects, we just got a power washer (on sale really cheap at "Wally World"..wink wink) so I have a lot of grime I am going to be blasting with high pressure water in the next few weeks! Power washing is just soooooo satisfying. Just me? Other projects...It's still hovering in the 40s here at night, so my mind is still on knitting and crocheting and coziness, so there is always yarn flying around me like a whirlwind in the evenings, usually while I sit down to watch a certain somebody work her magic with cold processed soap.😘
I have a couple of crochet projects I want to finish this spring. I'm making a trivet, because I'm tired of using all of my potholders to lay down on my counters, when I pull hot stuff out of the oven. I'm also crocheting these cute flower curtain valance thingies, and some bucket hats.
Oh, I think one of my first cross stitch works came from that book - it's on a pillow for my mum. They're so lovely as cross stitch works. I'm making the skirt on a crochet dress, with a waffled bodice and bell sleeves. It's a long process.
For a little while I had the pleasure of getting my hands on fresh eggs and to bake with fresh eggs with a friend of mine, her grandpa had chickens! Thanks, Katie, now I wanna go looking for fresh eggs in my vicinity 😂
This spring I want to start my garden again, but not as big as I planned because we decided to move before end of the summer hopefully, so we will have a lot more space for gardening and I'd like to get a chicken coop and chickens, so we look for a place that will have space for it :) I love watching your content, it always makes me smile and relax. Have a good day!
Autumn here in Australia! And so grateful, because our summer was hot. And we had heat waves in March as well that were hotter than summer 😅 I couldn't deal. So glad it's cooling down ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I HAVE to buy this soap. My grandma was a chicken lady, she had a coop and grew apples, citrus trees and mint among many other things. Thank you Katie for the hit of nostalgia ❤
We have chickens!!! We also just got quail about a month ago, and are eagerly awaiting our first quail egg. The quail are SO LITTLE AND CUTE AND ROUND!!!! I adore your "chicken lady" soap and my husband overheard me watching this video and was giggling along with me. So fun!!!! Much love to you.
My boyfriend and I will be making our first ever soap tomorrow by ourselves! Thanks for getting me into this craft, I am very excited and watched all your teaching videos ❤
i like the green for the stamp! or maybe a yellow or gold so it matches the straw on top! as a craft project i want to do some crochet flowers this year! once ive worked off my list of gift requests xD
The top layer reminds me of scrambled eggs. And yes Americanas layers different colored eggs, we had some we got light pink, blue and light green colored eggs! Love the soap!
I am a proud chicken lady and my daughter bought me two of your chicken lady soaps for Easter. Can't wait to use them! They are precious.❤️🐓Next can you please make crazy bee lady soaps, perhaps? I'm one of those too. 😁🐝
We have dozens of projects, we are one of those crazy homesteaders now. But my little project that came to mind is a key wind chime and I'm going to let my baby paint them 1st. Our 1st baby chickens started laying in November it was very exciting.
I love these! So getting some of these. I so appreciate that you always show so much care and support for your followers, I just love watching a woman your age do something so productive and cool for your career. God bless you and the your lil family
I get eggs weekly from our CSA. They feed the chickens with food scraps that grocery stores can't sell! They don't sell veggies in the winter (it's cold here! ) but they still have a constant stream of eggs. You are right they taste entirely different!
Hi Katie, I live in the city and when my kids were small our home was like a mini zoo. We had 17 parakeets, 5 finches, 60 gold fishes, 7 hamsters, 3 dog🐕, 4 guinea pig, 2 🐢, 3 bunnies🐇,2 🐓and 1 hen. That was a lot of animals foods, cleaning and care. Just enjoy them while you have time you get with them.
I don't know why I've always assumed you went to Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission, but I'm kind of surprised that you don't! It's basically an entire RenFest theme park and so much fun, plus it's close to Magnolia! There's so many small business retail booths and stores that always have the coolest stuff! (Also, a coffee and fudge stand lmao). Farm fresh eggs are the best, there's a farmer's market a couple of hours from where I live where almost every dozen eggs you buy is actually 13, come in a variety of colors, and you'll sometimes get the 'first' eggs. They also have sunflower honey which I cannot recommend enough; it's less sweet than most honey but surprisingly floral. My family loves it!
@@Pysslis Yeah, it's just rain for now, but the forecast says snow for tomorrow for me as well. That's why I love that shirt so much. It represents the weather I wish I had right now^^
Yes. I've got my own hens, and the difference in literally everything, whether cooked or baked, is very noticeable. Farm fresh are definitely much more rich in flavor.
That golden egg is just! Chefs kiss. Haha we have chickens. But i am not a chicken lady. The eggs are too rich for me hehe. But they are fun too observe.
I've been busy today, studying for my SAT and everything. I was feeling pretty overwhelmed and I saw this was posted earlier today! I wasn't expecting to love a chicken soap so much!! It's a nice way to close my evening!
I can't tell you how long I've been watching your videos. But I love them!! Lol been amazing to see your business and life change through out the years. Thank you for always being you. ❤😊
Our project is yard work and fence repair. Winter took out part of the privacy fence and the empty lot next door is cluttered up. Also, we need to pull some dead annuals
I love it! I used to have over 50 chickens as well, including Americanuas. Unfortunately predators got to a lot and I finally gave up and gave the rest of them to a happier home. We plan to make a better chicken coop someday. Currently we have over 40 goats. Goats are like dogs. They are so sweet and friendly. Especially goats raised by 4-H kids. 😊My kids are 4-H kids. ❤
I loved all the egg colors! I had hoped you would have done a drop swirl with a brown and tan for the nesting box! then the Hay. Thought you'd give us glitter that was like long sprinkles, Maybe next time! Thank you so much for making this video this made me so excited!
We also celebrate our pet's birthdays. We have a dog (catahoula leopard dog), two cats, and a new lizard (green anole). They all get birthdays and wear little birthday hats for it lol.
Yes my grandma gave me some farm fresh eggs from one of her friends once and they were all the beautiful colors! I would love to have them again at some point!
My something fun for myself today was finishing not one but two of my crochet projects. I finally stitched together the granny square cardigan I have been working on for a couple weeks for my daughter and I also just finished the wee unicorn stuffie I made her as well. Just have to set it together and both are all done :)
I am not a chicken lady, but I am a biologist with a degree studying birds… so I’m gonna give this one an extra enthusiastic thumbs up ❤
YeS! I'm an aspiring ornithologist, so I agree with this so much :D

Chicken Lovers in a Thunderstorm is a great crazy band name

After a day of tornadoes this is a great way to calm down and relax. A beautiful soap! LOVE that green!!
Love it! I am a chickn lady and have been my whole life. Was raised with them and for the last nine years have had them myself. This is a great soap!!
I literally can’t wait for this homestead collection! I want a homestead of my own in the future!
I'm not a chicken lady per say but I've been helping my folks with their chickens. I've developed a greater appreciation for chickrns and birds in general. Also it's surprisingly cute how some give themselves dust baths.

I thought the soap was literally called "Chicken Lovers in a Thunderstorm" and thought it was oddly specific. Must be a very niche group lol
🤣🤣🤣
Ahh!! A soap combining my two biggest passions! Soap making and chickens ❤

My son’s mother-in-law has LOTS of chickens and she is such a wonderful woman. I can’t wait to get this for her! I bet gold writing would look good!
I'm a busy mum of four under 5 but I pop in every now and then and binge watch your vids. I'm still living for them. Watched you from beginning.❤❤❤

Love this soap. Your inspirations from near and far are so uniquely wonderful. Love chickens.🐓🐓
I only have one yellow chick. It is wild to me that it's the stereotypical chick
You’re so joyful in such a difficult time. Thank you for putting happiness out into the world ❤️
I would love to have my own chickens so that I can have fresh eggs for breakfast. 😍
Your soap is so cute! I like both stamp colours but the black one a bit more. ❤ can’t wait to see the final soap! 😊
One of my spring projects is knitting a sweater. I just learned how to knit after having crocheted for 18 years. I’m currently knitting my first sweater. I grew with farm fresh eggs and ironically this is my first time owning my own chickens. Too cute. My mom will love the soap
Those little egg 🥚embeds are so adorable! 😍
I have definitely had farm fresh eggs. I raised goats and chickens growing up. I was even gifted chickens for Christmas twice by my cousins. I also had Easter chickens that laid green and pink eggs.
🎉 Who doesn't love chickens?! ❤️
Neighbors who like to sleep in 😂
Worms 🐛
@Kristin Owens that's why my neighbors get free eggs. Lol
People with bad taste.
^-- But I'm afraid of birds, so..🤷♀️
The eggs remind me of mini eggs (Easter chocolates here in Britain) and they are my fav chocolates! Love this soap so much, perfect for homesteading and for Easter too! 💖

My parents don't have chickens but they have a few quails! This soap is too cute.
Also I love the Houston Renfest. It's so fun.
This is super cute. I've never had a farm fresh egg, but I've heard they are the way to go.
I have a couple of crochet projects I want to finish this spring. I'm making a trivet, because I'm tired of using all of my potholders to lay down on my counters, when I pull hot stuff out of the oven. I'm also crocheting these cute flower curtain valance thingies, and some bucket hats.

I'm making the skirt on a crochet dress, with a waffled bodice and bell sleeves. It's a long process.
Literally working on a cross-stitch as a gift for one of my bridesmaids as I plan my wedding. This soap is adorable!
For a little while I had the pleasure of getting my hands on fresh eggs and to bake with fresh eggs with a friend of mine, her grandpa had chickens! Thanks, Katie, now I wanna go looking for fresh eggs in my vicinity 😂
As a chicken lady from Michigan, this soap is everything I ever wanted
I really like the yellow shimmer in the olive green stamp color!
We have chickens lots and lots of chickens!!! I love your chicken lady soap!!! It’s adorable 🥰
So glad it's cooling down ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So glad to see another Australian in the comments and omg the March heat waves almost took me out 🥵
@@skyelee8506 same! I have fibro and the heat just knocks me for a six! Last couple nights have been awesome 👌
Just finished my poultry medicine elective in vet school so this really made me smile!
I never thought I’d see all those words together in the same sentence, but I’m here for it!
We had 17 parakeets,
5 finches, 60 gold fishes,
7 hamsters, 3 dog🐕,
4 guinea pig, 2 🐢,
3 bunnies🐇,2 🐓and 1 hen.
I've had farm fresh eggs years ago, seeking to homestead now so I'm working on it
😁 for myself. This soap is so cute, and thanks so much for sharing
Yes!! Farm fresh eggs are so good!! This soap is so so cute!
My daughter is obsessed with chickens! We have 24 of them right now! She's gonna want me to get her this soap!
That shirt! It's chosen so well! Very April, spring storms and warm winds :)
Sighs in 6feet if snow…
I love her shirt!
The mixture of the yellows is very edible looking
I've been busy today, studying for my SAT and everything. I was feeling pretty overwhelmed and I saw this was posted earlier today! I wasn't expecting to love a chicken soap so much!! It's a nice way to close my evening!
I can't tell you how long I've been watching your videos. But I love them!! Lol been amazing to see your business and life change through out the years. Thank you for always being you. ❤😊
Thank you! I love chickens and used to have quite a few! I would love to have more but seeing this, yep! I love it! ❤
My grandparents had chickens when I was young and I loved collecting the eggs. She had one that laid green eggs!
You and Shelly did great with the egg colours ❤
Scarborough Faire is on my bucket list!!! I've worked at the Bristol Renaissance Faire for 21 years!!! (I make and sell the garlands there)
I loved all the egg colors!
It’s so sweet you recognize usernames! Really shows what a wonderful person you are ❤
My grandma never had chickens, but how boy her Rooster mercy collection is still insane! And I thought I was a crazy horse girl LOL
Life has been very difficult so far this year and your videos are such a ray of sunshine and joy for me. Thank you for being you Katie ❤
