In today's video, I give my guide on getting the Pyra and Mythra amiibo swords in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 without amiibo!

Bit of a correction, you can also get the Origin Shards from the Red vendor right across from the blue one I showed. They are more expensive but jut do whichever archsaga challenge you want to do and you can get the right shards.

missed opportunity to keep those aegis swords on the flash fencer class cause that will just make you feel like chadasaurous rex, but keeping it locked to sword fighter is fine too i guess

I love the look of the Pyra and Mythra sword skins for the sword fighter class! They both look incredible!
Especially when paired with some of the outfits. I particularly like how Noah looks with flash fencer and the Mythra sword, though I imagine Seraph's armor would be sick too
For those wanting an also fairly easy method to get the shards just follow a guide with all the unique monster locations and just fight them from the weakest to the strongest as each one give you a origin shard. You will have enough to upgrade every weapon with those shards so I personally think this is probably easier. If you aren't good at killing some of the higher level unique monsters just search up the build to defeat them especially with the superbosses but as far as I recall you don't need to kill all unique monsters to max upgrade the weapons but it has been a while since I did it so I can't fully remember.
The early unique monsters take like one min to beat per (aside from travelling and load screens) if you are most of the way through the game. I think if you've reached chapter 6 you can defeat well over half of the unique monsters in the game with minimal difficulty although to get the quest you must be within the final chapter so this shouldn't even be an issue so I'd expect everyone to have a build that can defeat approximately 75-85% of the total unique monsters in this game without altering your default builds.
I would be interested in doing a comparison to see which way is faster but I think they are both comparable and I think killing all unique monsters is more worth doing as it's more fun to actually complete stuff within the game than a gauntlet. Unique monsters also have the benefit that the soulhacker class needs to STEAL the skills from every unique monster so I'd recommend completing this at the same time (Note you MUST have the class on one of your main party not the hero.)

You know what's funny? I literally maxed out my last soul tree like 5 minutes before watching this video
Even though I have bought the Amiibo's I don't want to take them out of the box, so this will be very helpful for that. Although I still need to finish my replay of the story since I decided to start all over prior to the DLC stuff. Also I will have to keep that Sena build in mind for the gauntlet. I was struggling trying to get the Noah and Mio DLC outfits from the gauntlet on the first go during Chapter 4.
It's still a bit of an rng fest to get the furthest in pro, but you can grind many floors quite reliably with the Sena build. Should work on Noah and Taion as well, but I think Sena is like SLIGHTLY more optimal, but it shouldn't matter

If you live in America tough luck as the Amiibo's have foil under them so it won't work but I tried it with mine as I live in the UK with no foil underneath and you CAN scan while they are in the box. I believe everywhere in europe you can scan without taking them out of the box. (This only works with the right joy-con and you have to click in the stick to get it close enough. The sticks on the pro controller get in the way too much so you can't scan it as the box is massive.)
This game makes me want to play a new Xenoblade Chronicles X game, perhaps they can do one where you can pick any character when creating the character to make your toon, then in game change your skin to anyone of the heroes from xenoblade 1, 2, 3, and X. The new game Xenoblade Chronicles X-2 would have a few planets to explore, and lots of starship space travel involved in real time preferably with a spaceship mech lol I wish.
They still haven't added the cat girl Mio tight suit from when she was evil lol
Well they did now, 2 years later tho when everyone stopped playing the game so idk why they even bothered.
@@jackjohnson8305 Yeah your right, a bit silly they didn't add it ages back in the first place, most original players have all stopped playing this game, adding also 2 extra characters and more outfits, seriously only benefits the new players.
It's just too late in the game to keep adding content without any new areas to explore and use that content. The DLC which was a game in itself should have also been one for the main game, so like I said you could enjoy the content.
Then I realise to myself why? Ok the game is aesthetically not as pleasing as Xenoblade 2, and the storyline isn't as good as 2 either. Well must be the minds of different lead in charge.
I literally got everything and wore it once, and then I said to myself for fuk this why did I bother getting it the grind you needed to get those gold coins ungh.. My damn no drop rule for 100% completion lol
Oh yeah definitely only benefits the new gamers, but still we the original pre-order people get treated like shit lol damn developers, ending the series as well on a crappy note.
If you finished the DLC I recommend going to timed Battle on Gaunlet cause if you scroll down you'll see a nice reward if you beat 2 special boys or should I say Gigachadsaurus and New Dunban.
TRUE, now that I unlocked both of them, they keep showing up in the gauntlet lol

For Pyra Sword I'm tired already to do sidequest or farm monster. For Mythra Sword it was something I planned to do so...
I also have the monado I don't know how but... Now Noah is the new Shulk. I recreat shulk game play.
The way I went to grind for Pyra and Mythra's swords were through fighting the named monsters. They give you both SP and Origin Shards. I recommend fighting these easy mode and especially fighting the multi target named monsters and superbosses. You earn much more SP and Origin shards that way.
Basically 2 birds with one stone on my method, it takes a bit but its faster to fight these guys than grinding for a while on archsage. (You can still farm that way to get some origin shards you need, i did that for one or two shards for Sena)
I never had this problem. I honestly didn’t know there was a requirement. I just went to the nopon and she gave them to me no questions asked
I installed the update, and logged in, I was able to get both swords without grinding or anything because during my gameplay I had already maxed everything out and did all the quests lmao. You scared me and made me think I needed to grind hard. Then it's like pointless, even if you grind that much nobody would want to be a fighter anymore, because the class is shit and it is such a waste having pyra and mythra's sword in that one class only. They are totally smoking some shit up at Monolith soft. A once smart company that don't know what they are doing anymore.

Also you have to have completed the game to talk to miibomii. I'm still stuck on the moebius Y fight in origin so it just said "try talking to miibomii after completing the game".

Kinda sad you can't really do this early in the game lol. I still prefer xenoblade 2 though chracters were awesome in that.
Pre order sold out but saw day one going on ebay for 55 dollars. Such a shame.
Oh that's it. Done. Still need to do the challenge mode and gauntlet stuff..ugh.

You could also find a guide of unique monsters and do loads of them especially the really low levelled easy ones as they take like less than a minute per and you get an origin shard for every one so I'd highly recommend doing that. You can also use the soulhacker class on one of your party members to get the skills so you kill two birds with one stone :)
