    Illegally modifying cars for better performance is LITERALLY the spirit of nascar origins.
    Edit: I'm not suggesting a Death Race. I'm suggesting that the commission needs to listen to drivers demands for more downforce, implemented in a safe way. Alcohol prohibition led to the black market that created nascar, the same way strict regulations on stock cars only creates an environment where teams will cheat and find loopholes in dangerous ways.

      but that little modification was cutting tires and causing crashes, someone could have died, they didn't really need to make a rule though, they should have just started black flagging them into the pits to fix it. i hear what you are saying about casinos kicking out card counters, but I do wonder what would happen if the blackjack rules were even, aka dealer does not have to hit or stay on certain numbers, and can double down and split pairs and force the gamblers to double up their bets etc. if the dealer was also a good card counter and could use that skill it would be a whole different card game.

  • @999benhonda
    @999benhonda ปีที่แล้ว

    This is a problem when your racetrack is an oval...driver skill is less of a factor, so teams need a competitive edge from the car, so the rules keep getting changed to combat the rule workarounds. I've watched some SCCA racing with fwd, rwd and awd cars racing the same track, flat out for 15 laps. Not pit stop or tire strategies, no fuel consumption worries, just each driver trying to find the best lines to make their car go around the track faster...and since the cars are not carbon copies, they don't even all use the same drive layout, the drivers can use different lines. That's some intense racing...far more exciting than "hey look, that guy is going 3mph faster and has his sideskirt sticking out".
