    the HUGE advantage over microwave is: you don't nuke your food. The higher the MW power, the more it depletes any goodness that might have existed in the first place.... (my Ol' boy was an electrician - and wouldn't have one in the house)

    You certainly can in a Halogen cooker/air fryer , halogen cookers are air fryers and you can see exactly what your cooking at all stages without keep opening the drawer . I cook ready meals 2/3 times a week in my halogen air fryer and there’s more room in it than an air fryer. No need to defrost just follow the cooking times and temperature on the packet for frozen …I’m 86 so this is a big help …PS i have ordered a Cosori air fryer but I can’t see that it will be much improvement on my halogen , but it’s all good fun , thanks for showing us.

      Very true and enjoy your cosori it’s quicker than what you have now so your cook times should be shorter

    Great video showing it can be done. Most of time I'd use microwave as bit quicker at around 11 mins.
    I presume about the cottage pie one
    I make my own in the foil cartons and then freeze them. Is it OK to put the foil in air fryer
    And I'd presume if I defrosted it first then I would reduce the cook time to 20 mins instead of 40 yes
    Thanks

      Absolutely and you can do this with a lot of different meals you have made. Just follow our system for a partial defrost first

    Hi Samantha can you tell me how to work out temperature and time of meals you don’t show here? ❤

    • @Recipethis
      @Recipethis  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes start with my recommended defrost time and temp. Then if there are any items that very quickly cook ie yorkshires then remove. Then do 10 mins st 180c or 360f then check if its nearly cooked and adapt.

    Do i need to do the 120c 10 mins and then the 180c for 15 mins? Or could i not just do the 180c for the whole 25mins. Ive got the frozen chinese chickien curry from iceland. Thanks love your vids ❤❤❤

    • @Recipethis
      @Recipethis  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Becky, you need the 120 first as that helps defrost otherwise it will end up over cooked on top and not done in the middle.

    I feel like a complete idiot. I've not long had a ninja foodie dual zone 9.5 and I tried doing a ready meal curry from aldi. I pierced the film lid as requested and cooked it for a little less but when I went to check the film lid had stuck to the heating element at the top. Now every time I use it its smells of burnt plastic 😢😢😢

    • @Recipethis
      @Recipethis  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Oops they can sometimes do that. Don't ever preheat the air fryer with a paper liner as the same thing will happen.

      @@Recipethis I've learnt it's all try and try till u get it right. So if something takes 55 mins in oven at 180 il probably air fry at 160/70 for 27 mins and then just keep checking. Thanks though love your vids honestly your a big help. You should have your own TV show !!❤️😂
