I remember buying this game after getting hyped by E3 trailers. I played it for the very first time and man this game is fast! Ouch, still so hard to play like the day before. Me and F-Zero GX weren't off with a good start. I wasn't sure if i would actually like it due to it's difficulty. I kept trying regardless and after a while as i got better and better i started to really love this game. In the end it became my most favorite game for the Gamecube.
The bad part is that it's still impossible. Even with 50ms lag you'd have unacceptably wrong positions of other players. We need another Internet (and, likely, a way to break a speed of light) to do that.
Doubt they ever will. It would be a smarter move on Nintendo's end to never touch the series again; because if they brought this game back, it would get people to start asking for more F-Zero, and clearly we can't ask for anything without getting completely screwed. (Literally every single "Assist Trophy" in Smash, Piranha Plant getting added to spite us asking for *one* character, Pikmin 3 getting discontinued on the Wii U when ported to Switch for no reason, Fucking Mario 3D All-Stars, etc.)

Gamecube has online gaming capabilities. You just need a supported game and a plug-in device that attaches at the bottom of the console. PSO was an online-only game on Gamecube.

Good grief, Nintendo if you ever decide to revive this franchise you need to go back to the original tunes of the tracks. Nothing will ever beat the original SNES version of Big Blue. Legendary.

nice custom machine..... i use the same body and for the booster i use the one that has 4 (dont know what its called) and the pointy top part.... this is my favorite stage and i think its one of the hardest but i had practice on this one and now i can play like you on this video....
arguably, F-ZERO was the greatest franchise to release itself onto the nintendo systems. To some, it was an amazing game that was full of challenges and obstacles that were overcomable, however the newer versions of the game have ruined the franchise completely, making F-ZERO a game of show and not fun. the original was better than the combined outcome of F-ZERO X and GX, and if they make another version, I hope that this will not continue and I hope that F-ZERO will retain some dignity. Actually, they did put it in there; you just haven't figured out how to unlock it. There are two ways: The first way to unlock Sounds of Big Blue is to win all the five cups (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, and AX) on Master difficulty. It will then be purchasable at the F-Zero Shop. The second way is much easier. Enter the F-Zero Shop from Customization. Do not enter any of the three shops. Instead, press the buttons Z, Left, Right, Left, Z, Y, X, Z, Left, Right, Left, Right, Z, X, Z, X, Z in that order, where the directions are entered on the Control Stick or D-Pad. You'll hear a sound of this is done correctly. After purchasing it from the shop, select a Big Blue track and press Z. You'll then be able to play the track with the special music. Hope this helped ;)

@Ahkaskar 1 thing i hate about master is, its unfair: if you get "too much" distance between u and next cpu they just teleport right behind you oh and they have unlimmited boost it seems, or beeing replaced by next with full health -working together as a team in maximum velocity for gameboy i didnt like the enemys just got faster max speed then you to win and master in F-Zero X >_< a few cpus try to be 1st, the others are there to fuck you up -as team again... but yeah its cool to win then ;/

There's Trackmania, but it uses cars and the track doesn't have its own gravity like it does in F0.
