Test drived the new 136hp one : just WOW ! HUGE step up imo , the transmission with the new chain belt is pretty good , combined with the little hybrid power boost push REALLY well !

A real nice option in the Hybrid Stysthems of Peugeot and I think the right decision! A comparison between the 100 and 136 Versions would be realy interesting!
Very good video, also get the interest to have one, please if you can tell me, is this the 6-edct gearbox? is there any jerk between the low gears? and the battery system emit any intrusive whine?
Hi does the DCS6 with paddle shifters show what of the six gears you are in on the i cockpit.

Wich type of hybrid is it? The electric motor works alone on slow speed or it helps the endotermic during the accelleration?
48V Hybrid. Around 1 km can be done with electric power.
Nice video as always. Do you prefer this new 208 or the new Esprit Alpine Clio crospotter? Which is the better drive?

@@crospotter13 Thanks for your thoughts. I currently own a 208 GT 130 8-speed automatic which I have owned from new for the past 3 years. I have really enjoyed the car. Last week I ordered the new Clio 145 Esprit Alpine which should be here in a few months. I chose the Clio because it is a 'proper' hybrid with very good mpg - and it comes with a lot of kit which the new 208 GT doesn't. The new 208 GT hybrid does not come with heated seats, adaptive cruise control, satnav, or blind spot monitoring. These are all expensive options for the 208 GT here in the UK. The Clio however comes with all these things as standard... and even a heated steering wheel! I hope therefore that I have made a good choice with the Clio.

talking about KMH, when does the electric switch to engine approximatively?
the new 208 has a type of light hybrid not like what you think--the battery only serves to help the heat engine in fuel consumption and performance. You always travel only with the heat engine never on electric.
@@Zaki-po9ps Wrong, this mild hybrid will do up to 30kph on pure electric for up to 1km. It's designed so you can move in stop start traffic jams and park in pure electric. It will also help in acceleration when needed.

this new engine version uses a chain instead of a belt, it should be much more reliable. Apart from that, I have been using a puretech 110 (previous genration 208) for 9 years now without any problem.
