I’m kind of in limbo as far as diagnosis. My rheumatologist said Palindromic rheumatism. Now they are checking for spondoarthropathy. I do get a rash on and off on my elbows. So she’s thinking maybe PA. I am on hydroxychloraquine and have been on methotrexate. I don’t do well on the latter.I was getting sick all the time. So that’s out as far as therapy. I am HLA-B 27 positive. So we will see after my recent test results. Anyhow, thank you for all of your time sharing your knowledge with us.
In New Zealand you’re lucky if we get just 4 out of those drugs. Methotrexate. Humira Enbrel & Contyx. Even then, you have to meet strict guidelines for it to be approved, as our Health system is free but the more expensive drugs have to be approved by our National medical organisation.
I said this on another video but this one is more recent. I was diagnosed with arthritis in my SI joint and given pain pills and muscle relaxers that did not work and made me feel terrible. Due to $ I am no longer under the care of a doctor. Through your videos I now know 100% I have PsA. I do a couple things to keep functioning and get rid of the pain. I walk 2 miles daily and I take CBD/THC. I take a gummy in the morning (7.5mg CBD/7.5mg THC) and another in the evening. These 2 things have kept me going.
@@Waseem-ww7uu I am actually doing better. I have increased my CBD/THC to 30/30 per day. I have cut out a lot of sugar and red meat in my diet. This seems to help.
@@keithdavis7595 Careful, if you take too much for too long you could become resistant and then the THC/CBD won't work and you'll have to take a big break of many months just to get some of the effects back
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you're finding my content helpful. When it comes to managing psoriatic arthritis, it's important to work closely with your healthcare provider to develop a treatment plan that suits your specific needs. Additionally, adopting a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, a balanced diet, and stress management can also make a big difference in managing the condition. Stay positive and take care!
All of my symptoms are in the lower part of my body. One knee, one hip, both shins, both ankles, both feet, all of my toes also. Non stop pain, even when sleeping. Movement helps a bit, although it feels I'm walking on broken glass. None of the NSAID meds work for pain or swelling. Neither does the Prednisone.
I watch hundreds of related videos. I have the time...I am retired. However, I haven't found any information to get excited about. We are doomed to a painful life of misery, or take some drug that may reduce the pain but can kill you with side effects. @@rheumatologistoncall

Good morning Dr. Diagnosed with the psoriatic arthritis 20 years before. Initial treatment ( 2009. ) with Methotrexate and leflunomide. Stopped due to side effects. Started methotrexate and humira injection September 2013. Discontinued methotrexate in August 2022 due to glasss attenuation of the lungs and cyst. Now continues only with the humira injection. The disease is not totally under control. Angioplasty Don in july 2013 stent at LAD . Cataract surgery done December 2023. Your suggestion for the treatment please. Thanks Dr. R.JOSEPH JUSTIN
Thank you for sharing your experience, I encourage you to consult with your doctor about new treatment options that could help you manage your condition better.
Hi Dr, I love your content and videos. It is really given alot knowledge which I can learn. I have psoriasis since I was a kid age 5. My parents did not know what my condition was until age 15-16 until a skin specialist in my country told us about this condition. At that time we were not told of auto immune disease and was prescribed ointment of steroid cream and ointments all my life. Fast forward now age 41, I'm having lots of joint pain on my ankle where the psoriasis was at. The joint pain spread to my spine, back, neck and ribs. Movement will cause the pain sometimes to go away or worst. Just wondering if chiropractic manipulation is recommended if I have this condition. I had multiple sessions of chiropractic but the relief don't last, at most 2 days and the pain and discomfort will be back to haunt me. Any tips where should I move forward from this. Really appreciate and thank you for all your knowledgeable videos❤
I suffer from psoriatic spondylitis The greatest impact and pain is in the sacroiliac joint, neck, mid-back, tendons, ligaments, plantar fascia, Achilles tendon, and Kervain tendon. The disease caused chronic, non-specific enteritis and terrible pain I started using Simponi and it yielded no results for me My doctor discussed switching to Stelara or something else, but I've seen many reports of Stelara not working in psoriatic arthritis. Of the axial type, the spinal column and the iliac joint Does Stelara work for tendinitis, spine, iliopsoas joint, and bowel syndrome?
