This video def helps with the comb selection. I'm in school now and almost done and they never discuss combs. Something I had to figure out myself. Thank you again for great tips !

just wanted to say that because of this tip I now do not use the texturizing shears for "blending". I challenged myself do not do that and now I have taken my skills to another level and will be taking them even higher for ever and ever. Thanks again:)

I have that wide toothed red comb :) got it from the sassoon academy. They're the hongo beuy pro range, they're awesome. I have way too many combs, yet I manage to use them all!

The comb you showed that has wide teeth all the way through looks like a Cricket Carbon comb. CosmoProf here in Arizona caries them with a sectioning tooth on one end and a nice wide tooth all the way through. One of my favorite combs!

Great video... I am a fully trained hairdresser working in a salon but am also training to teach hairdressing so am looking for inspiration and wisdom to pass on to the students. I'll definitely be pointing them in this direction.

Your red comb looks a lot like the Paul Mitchell 416. It's my favorite cutting come, and a plus is its heat resistant.

Would you mind listing the items (comb/scissors) by name that you recommend?

I am in school now so I am not a professional but I thought the term was shears in place of scissors my teachers would have a conniption if I called it scissors. Am I incorrect? Are my teachers teaching me incorrectly?

i work at supercuts and every aspect of their cutting is against everything you say and i hate it.....they make you use their huge bulky comb which keeps blocking my guide....and they tailor their steps that you must follow to suit new or unskilled stylists. i cant wait to get out. also the way they make you stand and cut has stylists with bad backs and carpal tunnel in 2 years.

you are very good stylist, but not a great teacher 9educator) will you please stop wiggling these combs and show them closer and hold onto them seadfast for us to see them clearly and estimate their perfect usage. Thank you
