Honestly this guy has it all. He's got a company, a very motivated training routine, a freaking family to look forward to. Kinda jelly but him being such a great guy I just feel tremendously happy for him, definitely makes me want to work more towards my goals
And it's crazy because no one has the "perfect life" and I'm sure he does have struggles etc... but from the outside looking in. This guy is winning at life.
A long run used to be half a mile for me. Now a year and a half year later (and learning many lessons from setbacks) my current long run is 4 miles. So perspective is everything. Currently I’m adding 15% volume every quarter (weekly mileage).
in June I could hardly do a mile. October 3rd I did my first half marathon (13 miles) non stop. blew my own mind. im training for a mararthon this year. gradual increases add up!
Just got back from my 9.5mi long run, and I feel great. Staying in that sweet spot of heart rate or breathing is honestly the cheat code to running. I went from running 1 mile to consistently pushing 4-6mi runs daily in the past 5 months.
Being the father to a little girl is such an amazing experience, so many opportunities to learn and grow, as you watch her learn and grow. That's the biggest part of parenting in my opinion. You learn as they learn. It's beautiful.
I have my first marathon April 3rd. I’ve done 10 or so half marathons and two 15 mile runs. 8 weeks out I’m just starting to realise the enormity of this run. Watching your videos are really inspiring. Keep up the great work Nick.
You are going to crush it as a dad. It will change your life and and make everything your working for much more meaningful. Stay blessed brother and keep motivating us!
Literally one of the most humble, successful people that inspires millions. Not just financially, but with fitness and his outlook on life and family. Congrats to you on how you’ve grown from being the “Lost LT” in the Army.
You ran 30 miles, get up early, ate breakfast, recording all the videos yourself, sponsor video, and maybe did some of the editing. You are absolutely amazing. Super hustle.
Started running 2 years ago. Fell in love with ultras last December. I have an 11 month old baby girl. I resonated with you in this video very much brother.
I just wanted to say thank you Nick for everything you do. You got me into running just over a year ago and yesterday I ran my very first marathon, the Houston Chevron. Not nearly as fast as you sir, but I finished strong. Good luck on your ultra, I know you will kill it.
I've been watching for a couple years now your entire progress from the start. I just found out you're having a child, and I am so happy for you man. You motivated me to start running, and now motivating me to take my life seriously. Best of luck to you dude, would be rad to meet you some day.
These videos are some of the best on TH-cam. He gives great advice, not only on fitness, but everyday life as well! Hope all stays well with the family. Best of luck to you in the Ultra Prep!
Many blessings to you and family Nick . You always push me to go one more mile all the time . I think what would Nick do ? Go one more! I’m definitely learning a lot from you . Thank you!
These are awesome videos Nick. I’m in the Army. Your videos motivate me to work harder to excel in my physical fitness. Thanks for showing me how a lifestyle of hard work and dedication looks like. Just know that many people are rooting for you as you are running those long runs and going through overwhelmingly tough days.
Nick, discovered your channel a couple weeks ago, binged watched so many of your videos already. Massively inspired me to get back in the gym and train for events again. Thankyou!
NICK!! SO CUTE with the ultrasound pics on the fridge. you will be an amazing dad!! you continue to inspire me with every video. looking forward to seeing the 100-mile run soon 🏃♂️
Love the vide brother! Crazy.. didn’t know you guys were expecting a baby! My wife is pregnant with our first coming in July. The baby has been my main source of motivation on my long runs.
just had to make a comment. I'm very impressed by Nick his personality and way of giving so much value to us via this youtube account. not only showing what he can run or do but the talk ofterworths... it's just so valuable and I'm very grateful to follow your journey and reflect it into my own. tomorrow running 30km for the first time and I'm super psyched about it! thank you Nick for the valuable lessons and sharing your thoughts on running and increasing milage or improvement in any sort in general! peace! from The Netherlands. Mats
Love what you had to say in this video about running load. You might be interested in checking out something called ACWR or acute chronic workload ratio. In fact, I think it might have been where the 10% rule came from. Anyway, its a pretty cool way to make sure you're not doing to much too soon!
I like your honesty saying you couldn’t imagine getting to 30 miles when you got serious. I’m not a great runner myself, even as an athlete in college I sucked at it outside of gameplay sprinting. I’m trying to get into it and honestly rn I’m walking long distances. Hoping to be able to run a 5k one day to start!
Same for me. In August I couldn't even run 400m without feeling like dying. I just keep consistently going out there and running. Even if I had to stop and walk a bit I'd run nice and slow. Each week I'd end up running a little more and a little more and now I'm at the point where im going on 7 and 8 mile runs in the morning with 15 mile long runs. It's surreal, i never thought I would run anywhere close to that far half a year ago CONSISTENCY.....so so important. Consistentcy can change your life
Thank you very much! Very inspiring! Today was my leg day and easy run! Great channel and great content! I am glad that I found this! Best regards to you and your family 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💪🏼💪🏼🥇🥇
Run your own race and not someone else’s. That’s the best advice you could take from this because it all starts there. Learn who you are and the rest will play itself out
As a new viewer. I am so happy his newer videos don't have these whack ass personal ads in the middle of them. Kills the video having to take the effort to skip them.
I completely agree with the gradual increases in mileage. It sucks when you stop running consistently for a while and lose running fitness. I just did a 50k and didn't really train for it and figured that 20 to 35 miles a week off and on would cut it...bad idea. I finished, but boy did it hurt.
Such an awesome video! I always catch myself comparing my runs with others because my running routine has gone downhill but im getting back up there and almost where I wanted to be again.
I went from 2 x 2km runs a week 6 months ago to my current 4 runs totaling 40-50km a week very slowly. I was doing 5 runs but dropped one in favour of taking some load off my joints and cross training on the bike. It's also hot as hell at the moment in Aus so early morning runs are the only option where as i can hop on an exercise bike at any time. Anywho, in my build up no one weekly increase was more than 10% and if you look at it on a monthly average it more like 4-5%. I really think it helped me stay on top of whingeries and stopped them from turning into injuries. I'm now using that same slow, building approach bringing weight training into my workout schedule. This years goals are break 20min on a 5k, 20 pull ups (at my fittest I've only ever managed 15) and first marathon. Happy 2022 everyone, go kick it in the dick.
Dude watching you succeed has been awesome. Was watching an old video and thought it was funny that you said you would never run again after the army 🤣 congrats man.
Nick! I was curious as to the exact model of Salomon vest you are wearing. I'm going to be running a few ultras this year and am having a hard time deciding! Appreciate the content and all the work you and your team do!
Awesome Video :) Im Planning to do my 1st 100km Trail UTCT 100. They have also just announced a 100miler, might be your next run Would love a video on the gear you are going to take and what's in your Salomon Vest :)
Oh and once the little baby girl is born, no one is allowed to come visit unless they bring a meal to eat and a frozen meal that you can thaw/heat later!!!!!! Your new schedule will take a while to settle (you day will not be your own for at least a few weeks), the last thing you want to do is have to cook every meal in those first few weeks!
When is BPN gonna make running gels? :) throw in some ingredients like cranksports and make it taste like spring energy and you’d have an amazing product!
Can you tell us about the VO2max garmin gives you? Have you done the actual lab test? Have you noticed that it drops when you do slow long run? Does it increase with lactate threshold or strides? I think many people would be interested in knowing this info. Thank you! You are an inspiration!
Whats your recommendation on remediating impact on knees for long runs, I can think of building lower muscles, mind you, I am a beginner and I do around 5 miles in one go, my knees and foot hurt, looking forward to your recommendation, thanks.

he goes after what he wants in life with full intensity which is so inspiring to see!
Get off your knees bub I think he finished on your shirt already.
He’s worked for it all, and he’s where he wants to be because he thought about it and went all in. Read his book it’s really amazing
Earned, never given
For those non-usa folks 48.28km run at 5:18/km 👍🏻🔥
Wish all these videos would have on screen kilometer numbers (especially speed wise) whenever he mentions miles or minutes per mile
My baby girl just turned 3 months old. Dude Dadlife is everything. I’m sure you will kill it👍

Same for me. Had a knee injury almost 2 years ago and I’m up to regularly clocking 4 milers just recently and it feels so good!
@@drewtakesprofit8897 when i first did 20 km it did blew my mind too.

Your videos always make me want to add more miles to the end of all of my runs. Good luck Nick!
I’d love to see you and David Goggins go for a long run. The footage would be incredible
Same. Except goggins is on a whole different level of running power
what is soo cool about Nick Bare he is soo humble and explains things love the channel!

Nick, you are sincerely going to be an amazing father! You have the right mindset going into it. Very excited for you!

Congrats on the little one. I am going to be a first time dad as well. 5 months left lol. It has pushed me back into running and been smashing 20km
Love the message about not comparing paces, makes it so much more difficult to be confident with where you're at
Love the vide brother! Crazy.. didn’t know you guys were expecting a baby! My wife is pregnant with our first coming in July. The baby has been my main source of motivation on my long runs.
What a guy. Congratulations and good luck to you brother!

Congratulations guys, kids are the best
It's awesome to see how such a dedication to the MAF method can pay off!!
Your inspo to my runs man. Keep up the work you will be a great dad.

Nick is simply awesome.
30 mile run at that pace is ace, strong ! and feeling good after, sounds like Nick's &BPN are 100mile Ultra ready
Wow! An 8:32 pace even including some of that terrain. That’s so crazy!
Congrats to you both 🧡 amazing that you’ll be parents soon!

HEB Rosemary Sourdough bread is amazing!
I own a painting company and your contractor is doing a proper job! also you properly pronounced wainscoting so good job lol not too many people do
Nick! I was curious as to the exact model of Salomon vest you are wearing. I'm going to be running a few ultras this year and am having a hard time deciding! Appreciate the content and all the work you and your team do!
The day I can walk in to a supplement store here in Australia and buy some BPN gear, is going to be a damn good day.
Get that behind the bike buggy so you two can bond on the road. Congrats, guys!
Ya just tow the baby in a cart going 22mph
Great video. Very encouraging words. BTW, is the pool done? Did I miss it?
Love the more heavily focused running videos
Congratulations! Kids going to be a superstar
Congrats man. Kids kids kids 💯💯💯
W life man. Love you Nick proud of you thanks for all the vids
big inspiration
Congratulations
Another great vid big dog!
Congratulations bro......👍👍👍
Awesome Video :) Im Planning to do my 1st 100km Trail UTCT 100.
They have also just announced a 100miler, might be your next run
Would love a video on the gear you are going to take and what's in your Salomon Vest :)
Hey Nick, crazy runs! Can you show you're heartrate/mile pace/statistics afterwards on the garmin?
Oh and once the little baby girl is born, no one is allowed to come visit unless they bring a meal to eat and a frozen meal that you can thaw/heat later!!!!!! Your new schedule will take a while to settle (you day will not be your own for at least a few weeks), the last thing you want to do is have to cook every meal in those first few weeks!
Nick, why you not make your own line of gels. Best vid.
I don’t mean to distract from the incredible athletic preformance, I’m just a camera geek. 🤣 What camera + lens combo are you shooting with @10:00!?
Congrats!
Wanescotting looks great
At what time in morning you started running
I definitely need to hear that!
When is BPN gonna make running gels? :) throw in some ingredients like cranksports and make it taste like spring energy and you’d have an amazing product!

Nüobells @3:29? I'm curious, what his thoughts are on those.
The truffle fries are too die for. Little doddy is down the road from us and we probably go more than we should
You might as well make gels too
LET'S GO!!!
I increase my millage too quickly and now I have a stress fracture lol
I learned my lesson
I have a marathon at the end of next month and the most I've ever ran is 10 miles, going to be rough haha
My wife and I go to Hop Doddy here in LA every week to get those truffle fries. They have some skinny margaritas that are incredible as well.
What watch do you use? Looks like one that has lasted you a while.
did he get a new sports car? i saw it in the background around 4min mark? looks gooood
What's the name of the trail? What park is it?
I see no more whoop strap? Is there a reason?
it feels illegal to be this early
Anyone know the name of the song in the beginning?
Called make it up by far west
