I guess I should read the description before I ask a question lol. When we go up to Mille Lacs in mid-summer we usually stay at McQuoids and fish the southern half of the lake for monster smallies! Throw in some walleye and muskie. Damn, wish I was there now....
No, I'll check that out!! I'm guessing in the amazon perhaps. Other than that, there's sturgeon (I think they're in danger in many places, though most are)...sturgeon could suck your toe, but that's about it! I recall an aunt saying she had a toe bit by a snapping turtle one year.
the largest mekong catfish ever caught was 846lbs.so your saying the average person weighs around 2,400lbs? i know people are getting fatter but damn.not to mention that the ny state record for musky is 73lbs which could easily do some serious harm to a child
@MAMAKICKSASSS Sorry for the comments made by my neighbor......he likes to be a smart azz sometimes! he really ment no harm...he is an avid muskie fisherman himself!!
An endangered species of bottom feeder catfish in one region in Asia, cool. The world record musky is 69lbs and was caught in the st-lawrence river, where it ate fish, lol. What if you saw a giant fish standing above your home's ceiling reaching to the 2nd floor? Would you try to eat it with your bare hands or would you be a little nervous? That musky is you. Do you still think fish are a threat to people while we decimate wild populations? ;) Use your brain guy.
There is no reason to be afraid of any freshwater fish. You're three times the weight of the largest ones! Ever try eating a whole cow that hasn't been butchered?!? Nor would the musky...
You should have read this verse over the video: "...Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove: O no! it is an ever-fixed mark That looks on tempests and is never shaken..." W. Shakespeare. Musky love is a beautiful thing
Amazing footage, great job. Only bad part is the rube in the background saying he wants to go get his bow....LOL

great clip but I wonder why those skinny guys always go for the big mommas?
now THAT is cool. Obviously the guy was kidding. No REAL fisherman would do that
I always thought they layed their eggs on dying vegetation in very shallow water, but it sure looks like they are spawning on gravel.
carpyguy yeah they do usually lay eggs in heavily vegetated areas.
carpyguy Not in May. Much earlier.
