I was lucky enough to grow up in Singapore, this zoo was such a huge part of my childhood-we'd visit it like every week. Thanks for uploading this and reminding me of some of my favorite childhood memories!
really enjoyed this tour. Great camera shots give comprehensive looks at the habitats and animals. The proboscis monkey habitat looks incredible!!! keep up the good work.
It a fab zoo, on two trips to Oz we've had a stop over in Singapore, 2nd visit we went on our own, rather than a coach trip, you have so much more time doing it this way and I think we managed to get round most of it, fab place, having no fences between you and the animals, just being able to photograph the animals without fencing is good, it's beautiful set within 'proper' jungle, the night zoo is also a great trip out. Probably the best zoo, I've ever seen😊
Honestly these world class zoo reviews inspired me to go to my local one in Melbourne Australia and I wish it was like this zoo, this one is amazing and open heck I’d rather live there than my house 😂
Great video, never been to Singapore... the only tropical Zoo I ve been to was Saigon Zoo which is a bit dull. Chinese zoo Guangzhou with its elusive Big Pandas and the golden stubnose monkeys
I tried looking up the species of turtle that's housed with the proboscis monkeys and I've found that the zoo houses multiple different species of turtles. Judging by the size of it and the fact that they're housed with an Asian species of monkey, I'm guessing that these are giant Asian pond turtles.
Here are some obscure facts you should know about this zoo (Ive been here multiple times): 1. The lowland anoa exhibit was actually the Malaysian tapir exhibit before it got moved to Night Safari 2. The zoo also used to house camels in the past 3. Before Reptopia there was an ordinary looking snake house. It was taken down and rebuilt into a more appealing reptile house in 2018. 4. Kidzworld used to be much further north from Fragile Forest before it got shafted to its current location
The turtle that you mention in the proboscis monkey part may be a Fly River turtle. Apparently turtles are known to squirt water from their noses to remove waste materials in their bodies....
Great video, a renowned zoo, I wish there was a zoo like this in Glasgow or Manchester, a crowd puller and crowd pleaser. I have been to Birmingham´s WCP last month. I am thinking of making a suggestion to them, a large 22-25 ha Conservation Park which is rather small 2 ha surface by expanding and growing some 20 ha more in surface it would make it an absolute, a sublime conservation park!. Cannon Hill Park , Birmigham´ s largest urban Park can make it. The real thing some zoo authorities and University representatives could come together and have several talks on this Wildlife park´ s prospect in order to redevelop it with enough potential to! Why people need to drive off some miles away to Dudley to visit the zoo?
Is the zoo in its new area?, the reason I ask is the last time we were in Singapore, in 2018, on a 3 day stop over to visit my brother in Australia, there was alot of work being done, they said they were going to join together the Zoo, Bird Park and one other attraction, I think the Night safari all on the same site. We went to the zoo in 2004 as part of a bus trip, although it was good you were on a schedule so was not able to see it all, So in 2018 we caught a bus and spent the whole day there. If it is the new site, it looks amazing for something so new. If it's where it was what we liked was no fencing to block your view and the deep dry areas that keep animals and people safe.I would recommend Singapore zoo and the night safari as a must do, when here. This place should be the 8th Wonder of the world, than,s for sharing and bring back so many memories.😊
I believe Singapore Zoo itself has not moved. The Jurong Bird Park was moved to a new location next to the zoo called Bird Paradise. Night Safari is right next to the zoo as well, River Wonders is on the other side of the river.
@ZSHzootours I thought I'd ask but thanks for that, they all are amazing places. We also went to a nature reserve that eventually looks out over the water to Malaysia, we went there to see the wild otters, we heard them all day but just didn't see them. Thanks for the trip down memory lane x
8:13 I think this axolotl is mature, the white ones are not albinos, they are just babies. Axolotls have unique condition which allows them to reproduce before reaching maturity, so most of them just doesn't bother maturing, if I remember my biology lessons right
We're watching this on the big screen at the office right now!
You have an office?! I need to up my game 😆
That's an amazing office team to let that happen!!
Now this is a nice crossover 🎉

My pleasure!
I went there 14 years ago, and now it's even better than I remember it! Top class, no doubt. I would love to return sometime! 👌
Me too!
Been their twice. The first time I was there, they use to keep polar bears.
Sadly, they weren't there when I revisited the place again... 😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@tankenming4760 There were plans to have sea lions in their old home, but AFAIK the area has kinda been abandoned now...

it looks so cool i might be going there next year😁
Enjoy!
Go, it's a must, don't miss out on the night safari too, both an amazing experience. Enjoy😊
I might as well. :)

Aw thank you! If you ever get the chance, Taronga Zoo is supposed to be very good

Thanks! I'd love to see the Snubnose Monkeys
This looked really amazing! Thanks for sharing this tour with us :)
Thanks for watching!

I LOVE your video, I had just subscribed to your channel and like your video. I will keep support your channel.
Thank you so much!
I was extremely lucky to go to Borneo and see the proboscis monkeys in the wild it was incredible
Ooh I'm jealous!
First comment lets gooooooo
also will you be touring prairi daiza in belgium?
@@PlanetGaming123 Isn't that the Zoo that's all aesthetics for the visitors, but horrible for animals?
Congrats 😆
It is top of my list! One day...
It's reputation is best in class for visitors, decent (but definitely not best in class) for animals. I intend to find out the truth 😁
Wow! Thank you for such a wonderful tour!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This zoo and the other animal attractions in Singapore are on my bucket list.
Highly recommend
I absolutely loved this zoo and the other mandai reserve parks when I visited in May :)
Me too!
I love your videos!
Thanks!
Oh yes!!!! My fav zoos
Top class zoo. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!
2:35 I was definitely not expecting that☠
SO, you also filmed footage of the other zoos.
Which of the other three parks was your favorite?
I'm excited to see the video for River Wonders.
Tough question, I loved them all!
Oh yes, that Sam Bernardino Zoo inspiration

I would love to go here, maybe one day 🤞🏻
I hope you make it Matty!

Nice! Thanks for the info 😁
I dif all four parks of Mandai Wildlife Reserve in one day back in February, I was super exhausted in the end, but I regret nothimg. 😁
Wow, I did them all in 2 days and that was a lot!
My childhood favourite place I've always gone to since i was 4 years old. Now I'm 16 and I still love it there.

Thanks! Yeh the North is short of zoos for sure!

Have you been to Pairi Daiza?
No but it's on the list!
I really regret choosing to go to night safari and river wonders instead of Singapore zoo 🤦♂️
It's a tough choice. There is some amazing stuff at both of those but Singapore Zoo was my favourite
Next time, lol. Night safari was amazing, have done it and the zoo twice on stop over to Australia to vist my brother😊
when is the next one?
NOW! 😁
@@ZSHzootours River wonders!!! I really love this channel and i really want to go to singapore zoo

Isn’t this just a reupload of your old Singapore Zoo video ?
Much as I'd love to fly to Singapore twice in a year... yes. A new cut of the video for the new channel
Chester zoo has Proboscis monkeys
It... does not.
@ZSHzootours I'm sure they had them when we were last there, but my mistake if not , I'm sure I saw them in the UK before
@@Clare2102, no sadly they do not, I was not long there
