For me the one rare animal in my zoo would be an animal that is only found in captivity in Europe and nowhere else and that animal is the Critically Endangered Scottish wildcat and it’s critically endangered due to persecution, habitat loss, incidental harm from predator control activities, Road collisions, Feline diseases and Hybridization with domestic cats and as of 03/01/2024 there are 115 wildcats left however there are 35 or less pure wildcats which are ones that haven’t breed with domestic cats.
What’s about the Saiga?
@@fazolettofazolettini9624 well I like saigas as well but the question was if there was one rare animal so that’s why I didn’t mention the Saiga.
Man, there was so much energy in this video! New intro, new Zoo, new animals, and a new year of adventures, this makes me even more excited to visit Fort Worth Zoo next year!
And to answer your question, I would love to see Sumatran Rhinos at my local zoo one day.
Zach, I loved this episode. Not just because of the cool exhibit, but almost entirely because of the way you presented it. I have been watching every video for a few years, but the way that you are displaying this complex is going to get you very far. Keep this up! Your energy is electric and it’s going to pull more people your way!
I don't know how rare they are in zoos worldwide, but I would like to display Asiatic Lions. Their African counterparts are so widespread among US zoos that the Asiatics are, in my opinion, neglected and overlooked
Mammoths and Saber tooths need to come back
0:37 that old lion exhibit was featured in barney let's go to the zoo
I thought that looked so familiar.
The one rare animal I would want for my zoo (Zoo Atlanta) would be the African Leopard.
One rare animal in my zoo, Cincinnati, would be bringing back the Sumatran rhinos
I am lucky that my current zoo still has 4 Pandas and if we had the room would love to have a hippo tank/exhibit
The rare animal I would have in my zoo is probably the Sumatran Tiger🐅 I feel it’s concern about its status in the wild😢
I think he meant rare in zoos
@@TheRandomZooVisitor I don’t think Sumatran tigers are that common in zoos
@@rad_my_g According to Zootierliste there's 17 zoos with Sumatran tigers in the US. I wouldn't exactly call that rare.
Compared to other species that can be found in hundreds of zoos, I would call that very rare. Although the US version of Zootierliste is also very incomplete.
@@ZooTours oh wow
Wowsers! Try to visit the San Diego Zoo Safari Park & Woodland Park Zoo next! And the rare animal that I like to have in my zoo is the Japanese Raccoon Dog! Also, here are 4 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend, Zak....
1) Which gorilla at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium passed away this month?
2) What year did the Houston Downtown Aquarium renovate the white tiger exhibit into an outdoor exhibit?
3) How many egret species thrive in SeaWorld San Diego?
4) What other new exhibits do you prefer the Houston Zoo to build for the future?
i would love to have an okapi in some zoo of spain, i would go there everyday😍😍😍

The wrinkled hornbills are now sharing their habitat with a pair of smew.
The rare animal would be that super rare porpoise that I’m drawing a blank on it’s name or a pangolin
Vaquita
I love this tour of the Predators of Asia and Africa Tour, Zach!
And for the daily question, if I wish for one animal to one come back to my local/hometown zoo being the Bronx, that would be the blesbok antelope which used to roam around the African Plains. Not a whole lot of zoos display this antelope, but I just think it might be a decent species considering the African Plains needs some more species to help shake things up even for the modern times.
If I could have any rare animals in my zoo, it would be the mountain gorilla and the African forest Elephant.
For a rare animal I wish my local zoo had, I would go with Tiger Quoll or Galapagos Land Iguana
though it's hard to pick jsut one, so here's a few others: Spider-Tailed Horned Viper, Marine Iguana, Flightless Cormorant, Common Wombat, Tasmanian Devil, Numbat, Greater Bilby, Quokka, Santa Fe Land Iguana, Frilled Shark, Leopard Seal, Galapagos Penguin, Emperor Penguin, Spotted Cuscus, Pure African Leopards, Tayra, Wolverine, Fisher, European Badger, Japanese Raccoon Dog, Giant Freshwater Stingray, Piraiba, Kaluga, Vaquita, and basically any other Galapagos and Australian wildlife.
11:45 Hey look it's Bagheera from The Jungle Book!
The last time I was at the Fort Worth Zoo, this was still under construction. I probably should plan for another visit at some point. I live in the Dallas area, so not TOO far.
I really want to see Przewaski's Horses first, hands down. My dad saw some at the National Zoo, and I was super jealous. The Dallas Zoo started bringing in some of my favorite species over the past several years (African Wild Dog, Maned Wolf, Clouded Leopard, etc), but there's so much more that would be awesome to see.
I love carnivorous animals along with colorful birds and let me just say, you aced this episode and now one of my favorite tours on the channels, Great Job 💯%
If I had to choose one rare animal in my zoo, it would probably be a Giant Pangolin
If I could have a rare animal, I'd obviously pick any species of tapir found in South America (not the more famous black-and-white Malayan tapir of Southeast Asia, the tapirs of any species found in South America)
If I had a zoo, I’d love to have Aye-Ayes. They’re just such cool animals to me and are my favorite animal from Madagascar.
I’d pick most zoo What should’ve had kept (in San Diego LA Milwaukee Bronx Brookfield and even philadelphia)
Proboscis monkey
Red shanked langurs
Geladas (depending on which species of baboon is more exotic)
Uakaris monkeys
Golden snub monkeys
Platypus
Tasmanian devils
Giant pandas
Emperor penguins
Great hornbills
Hoopoes
Hoatzins
Quetzals
Albatross
Gannets
Frigatebirds
Boobies(red or blue footed)
Walruses
Elephant seals
African forest elephants
African buffaloes
Black wildebeests
Gaurs (they had one in the bronx but still)
Banteng
Nilgai
Sable antelopes
Kob
Hartebeests
Wisent
Three toed sloths
Galapagos land iguanas
And Amazonian river dolphins
@JaredNGF2003
Awesome List of Animals 😍😍😍
I Love African Lions and Clouded Leopards, I'm Into The Lion King Universe, I'm More of a Clouded Leopard Person.
I Wish Clouded Leopards Coming To Indianapolis Zoo, Clouded Leopards Are My Favorite Animals.
Dope exibiths, I really enjoy those large shots that help us see the full extension of the habitat. Answering to the question, I would choose the Iberian Wolf, attending to my roots.
Spread across the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, this tiger has become an icon of Indonesia's wildlife and biodiversity. However, unfortunately, the Sumatran tiger🐅 population is decreasing and is increasingly threatened with extinction. Various factors have caused serious threats to their survival😢
For me the rare animal would prolly be a pure barbary lion
I would want a tapir or anteater in the Indianapolis Zoo!
This was amazing, I was so glad when I saw you uploaded! If I were to display any rare animal, the Tibetan Sand Fox would be my top choice.
jaguar and cheetah ..would be my animals in my zoo.
The rare animal I would want would be an Aardwolf I feel like it's very interesting and would shock guests with what they do
My zoo (Cincinnati) has two
Now down to one
Where did the other one go?
Passed
Please make the video of St. Augustine Alligator Farm.
"If You Could Have ONE Rare Animal In Your Zoo..." Well this is gonna be tricky for me...
I'm mainly a sucker for birds and reptiles, so I guess I'd bring in either a Superb Bird-Of-Paradise (you know, that bird famous for making a cyan face as an attractive display), a Great Eared Nightjar (love myself a draconic-lookin birb), a Sulawesi Black Sailfin Lizard (cool points not just to its appearance but for both common AND scientific names), or a Red-Eyed Crocodile Skink (look it up and tell me it doesn't look like a real life dragon!)
A rare animal for my zoo would a Javan or a Sumatran rhino
If I could have a rare animal at mine zoo it would be a platypus. I love platypus they are such cool animals And I would love to see more places outside of Australia get them
The pangolin and the lesser bird of paradise is also known as raggiana bird of paradise the next exhibit is Galapagos in Houston zoo
Two different things:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raggiana_bird-of-paradise
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lesser_bird-of-paradise
Oh
I have a theory, while the zoo never confirmed where the leopards are from, I believe that they came from Tanganyika Wildlife Park an unaccredited facility near Wichita KS. I went there a year before my Fort Worth Trip and saw a pair of African Leopard Cubs one regular one black, nowadays they are removed from the facility and the ones at Fort Worth are relatively small for the species.
I went to the Ft. Worth Zoo about a week ago and loved it! I hadn’t been to the zoo in almost 10 years and it looks great! As soon as I entered the zoo, I made a beeline straight to the cats. Seeing leopards again after not seeing one in 4-5 years was amazing!!
If I had a rare animal in a zoo, it would be either a black panther or a vaquita.
I would love Proboscis Monkey back at the Bronx!
San Diego Zoo also 😅😅😅
Omaha has kept brown hyenas in the past, and I’d LOVE it if we could get them someday. They’re such a unique species, it’s a real shame we don’t have them in zoos here in the USA-I’d have to fly to Africa (or some zoos in Europe and Mexico)
Brazilian short eared dogs as an honorable mention too, but they’re not even kept in any zoos lol
Love the new intro!!
Great guide as usual man. Oh and I love mr. kitty, he's adorable😄
Isn’t the Columbus zoo the only other one with an African leopard
Yep
You are correct because I work at the Columbus Zoo and we indeed have the only other African Leopards in the AZA, we have 2 males ( Brothers ) named Jamie and Tyrion.
Back from a long time of not being here Zoo Tours, glad to see you’re doing well!
If I could keep one rare animal in my zoo, it would be an okapi, because they are my 3rd favorite animal. By the way, for your next zoo tour, you should visit the Oakland Zoo or the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. They are both equally good zoos in California.
I personally would love to have Little penguins (Eudyptula minor) in my CA zoo.
Depends on what you mean by a rarity, but I'd probably choose Sulawesi crested macaques.
there's like many unique species i would wish they would include including in the Toronto Zoo. if i were to choose one, it would be amazing if they be able to include Pangolins and Leopard Seals in it
If I Had My Own Zoo I would have the Giant Panda 🐼.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
The rare animals I would like to have in my zoo ( Yangon Zoo ) is the cuscus and/or bird of paradise.
I want to say they're not pure, only because their rosettes look very thick for an African leopard and more similar to a Sri Lankan or Indian leopard.
Honestly for Columbus I would love to have the Secretary Bird
I would like a Fernandina island tortoise in my zoo. By the way, i would like to see a video about the reptile house of Fort Worth zoo.
One zoo I would like u to visit is the Oklahoma zoo it has a large variety of animals and has raccoons (idk a rare animal it has I just never seen a racoon in any other zoos I’ve been too)
Oh honestly if I had a zoo I’ll have a Sumatran rhino as the rarest animal
i missed u guys
The one animal I’d have is probably the flat back sea turtle
The majestic Siberian tiger would be the one i would love go have
I’m sorry the zoo asked you and your team to leave
for me….maybe an African Forest elephant for my local zoo
I'd love it if my local zoo had more hornbills or got Okapi
Keep up the good work beo
I love your video Zach I would get a albino capybara
They would be either, the takin, addax, saiga etc
I would choose to have a Indochinese tiger in my zoo🐯🐅
If we’re counting aquariums
I’m going to get a zoo when I’m older so can you please tour it
Can your next zoo tour be Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo
I wonder if the zebras will be returning
One rare animal I will have in my zoo Is Bengal tiger
for my zoo I would choose the platypus
My rare animal would probably be a Giant Panda
My zoo has the only Hawaiian Hawk outside its native range but the bird is behind the scenes only. It'd be nice if the species was actually on display
For breeding purposes?
Don't you'd mean "mane" as in lion's mane lol.
Where is the trivia questions at the end
Please acknowledge this
Javan Rhino!!!
african forest elephant
Asiatic lions
Yikes, where are the ibexes now? 😢
Very nice 👍
Saiga or mountain gorilla.
The Asiatic lion🦁
Great Hammerhead
The rare animal I would want in my zoo (Zoo Atlanta) would have to be the African Painted Dog. Great video as always @ZooTours👍🏽
Snow Leopard
I’ve also never understood the wrinkled hornbill’s name… I thought it was due to the bare skin on their throat, which looks a little more “rotund” than other species, but not exactly “wrinkly”. I would’ve called them the superb hornbill or something, for their colors. Or even the goitered hornbill, like the Persian goitered gazelle, haha. That’s not the nicest name either though.
0:48 THE AYE AYE!
@ZooTours when do you and your team plan on visiting Singapore's Mandai Wildlife Reserves? You have to check out their new Bird Park where like 90% of their entire area consists of extremely large walk-in aviaries!
Tigers
Cool
Nice tour, I like that educational display on what's the difference between predator or prey. If I had a rare animal for a zoo, it would be a Giant Gridled Lizard. 🙂👍
🐯
🐅🦁🐆
Coming from New Zealand, the rare animal i would like in my local zoo would be Kakapo.
New tour !!!!!!!!
