It's a nose thing and a leftoid media thing. They are out to get certain people.
He never brought up race at that presser. He brought up "african" which is about being African born and raised, which DDP is African born and raised by isn't African by blood. He brought up DDP discrediting the "three kings" of the time in which DDP made those statements about being the only African born fighter doing things big in the UFC or whatever. But he didn't mention "race" or discussed things thoroughly in relation to "race".

I thought he was saying that he is the only champion who was born in Africa, stayed in Africa his whole life, used African resources, trained in Africa, teammates from Africa, and didn't go to any other country to use their resources. If you live in Australia, train in Australia, eat in Australia, use Australian resources, have all your teammates from Australia, I would consider you an Australian champion in whatever sport you won in. I would also recognize that you are Samoan. I think Dricus' point is very solid, but it is just my opinion.

If you have done any research on African history you would know white Africans migrated from Europe, so if you wanna get technical DDP isn't even African by blood his family moved there years ago, and he lives in Hatfield which is probably the richest and safest area in Africa,
Francis came from Cameroon one of the most deadly places to live, no places for him to train at all should he stay there so people can say "you're a real african"? And Francis built an MMA gym in cameroon last year, what has DDP built if he's such a real african

I my opinion the reason being this decision is becase in fact there is a huge number of fans beind adesanya's brand, this kind of fans that come from naruto genaration and anime stuff, and they want to see him fight just because of this "style bender" brand that he did very well building in the start of is MMA carrer. But those fans are not fans of the sport really... And I explain why here: he had a nice brand he was winning that was fine but when he started losing he wasn't humble digesting those losses, he said a lot of crap to the point he was only making himself look more like a clown rather than a style bender.... He was not honest with him self and he keeps not being honest with him self just from the fact that he wanted this fight instead of griding that spot again like any other fighter should.
Know Alex Pereira his main rival is a big name and a bumig star and the fact that he has a win against Alex in a match that seemed very strange to me, they are giving that opportunity to Adesanya out of the back of Alex work and merit, like being carried to an imidiate title shot just because he once beat Alex the champion of the division above, and I repeat just to give those not real fans, the anime fans something to make some PPV points on a undeserved fight at all.

I believe they did this Presser because there is an international Rugby game between Australia and South Africa the evening before. This is going to stretch peoples pockets. most folks cant do both and Rugby is more important to the majority. So they will need to hype this up for ticket sales.

Ariel, let me spell it out for you, cause CLEARLY you lack the ability to comprehend some things.
DDP lives in a developing country with very limited and underdeveloped resources. He does not have access to world-class training facilities, coaches, or financial support. This is a significant achievement for him and all South Africans. He managed to reach the top without the resources available in first-world countries. This accomplishment is not about race; it is about his rightful pride in overcoming his disadvantages to reach the top (out of South Africa which is a underdeveloped country). This was never about race - but you and so many others out there made it about race.
Psychology students can come to these common sections and learn a lot about human nature, the power of group thinking😊

I loved not having fans. The fans, the most recent, most outspoken fans are one of the worst things about the UFC these days. It is what it is but having a calm respectful press conference seemed very professional yet also very real and tense.

South Africa is 8 hour flight to Perth. Perth is closest Australia city to Africa. There was no crowd there at the presser yesterday. Also the Perth sports media there was quite lame. MMA is not their speciality and the Perth media is very often soft and tiptoeing in their questioning.
