Thank you for the pep talk on color and confidence! I got older, put on weight in unfortunate places and suddenly all I wear is black because it's slimming! I guess a solution would be less pastries (!!) but it's nice when someone else validates your feelings! 😊
I love the color red! I have a red dress, shirt, blazer and trousers! Of course, not all worn at the same time 😄 Thanks, Michelle for more great advice! Keep on keepin' on!
Would love to see a video about footwear for those of us who can’t wear heels. Didn’t go to a party last Saturday cos I could t walk in my low heels and couldn’t find anything else apart from daytime boots so I got all ready, then ended up not going 😭
@joannejones1187 Oh not this is such a shame. I can see you are a member, so when we do our next live (In January I will be announcing the date very soon in the members community area) remind me of this and I can gie you some suggestions.
So glad to hear you encouraging low heels. I have arthritis in one foot and can’t bear heels anymore. I lived in them before. I feel very self conscious because I feel old fashioned with flats…my brother is very critical but I think he is sexist 😁
I do not wear dresses except in fall and winter when I can wear boots. I tend to dress simple and a bit edgy (for a 70 YO ;). I do not wear earrings but I wear sharp belts, and at times, interesting necklaces. I have long wavy/ curly blonde with gray weave hair and feel it’s enough of a statement. I don’t want to draw anymore attention. I’ve tried buying floaty, feminine pants and skirts, but I don’t feel like me… I’m just not comfortable.🤷♀️ my favorite outfit is black bootcut jeans, short boots, black belt with silver rivets, dressy tea, or blouse and my favorite dark green wool blazer or my caramel colored vegan leather Moto jacket. I dread summer dressing because I’m at a loss for what to wear. I end up wearing leggings most of the time. I’ve had linen slacks made, but I have to find just the right style that suits me with the shoes that I am limited in wearing (I have a 2 inch lift on one leg because of an accident). Many of us deal with either body configuration, physical, and/or tactile issues. I’d love to dress like May Musk but it won’t work for me. For me, I think I prefer picking one style, which is an edgy, Ralph Lauren, and playing on that. I know it sounds boring, but the simplicity of it works for me.
@mamalovesthebeach437 It does not sound boring at all! I love Ralph Lauren. It sounds as if for the most part you know what works for you which is the most important bit. I am sorry you struggle with summer though.

@adrianabrown1011 Oh bless you. Thank you for your comment. Maybe try a little colour in areas you are more comfortable with?
Agree on the heels. Comfort and confidence over heels!
@KayeSherry Yes this is me haha

@dorismatthews4416 I love the fact that you love such a vibrant colour! Go you!

@carmensmagicalstorytime5679 Yes I can not wear them. I would tell him to try walking in them...😂
Great options!!!
@FollowMeAway Thank you
no trouser outfits?
Not on this occasion but look out on Monday for party outfit ideas for NY.

Feeling the same every summer. You're not alone!
