@UpFlip Its like Christmas morning, everytime I see a new UpFlip video get uploaded. Thank you for taking the time and effort in making all this awesome content! 🥰♥️
@upflip this is very informative for us who is inspired to start a new business. It made me feel like going back to our drawing board and see which area we fail with our previous attempts and where we can improve. thank you so much guys. I may not have any reference to say that's wrong or right. but it make sense. Someone like me who doesn't have any educational background about starting up a new business and fails with several attempts. this is very helpful. Thank you guys!
I compare myself to augusta i aspire to be as successful as augusta. I am in the process of getting a start up lawncare handyman business and this channel has been so inspiring and informative.
Just started my 3rd year owning a small service and repair plumbing company and man it's been a ride with juggling family and work. You guys put out some great content keep it up!
@@UpFlipThank you! Of course! Every business owner should be looking into joining their local Chamber of Commerce! It's an amazing place for networking and hey what's better than saying you do service for the local businesses in your town and the mayor!
Love the content from this channel! So many small businesses could benefit from this. I'll be featured within 8 years for a business I'm ramping up this upcoming spring
Iam actually in the process of starting a pressure washing business here in Australia. I was inspired by your video on Stephen from North west softwash.
I did a graphic design course and learnt some others: purple = luxury. White = purity and cleanliness. Pink = fun and femininity (der). Black is sexy & sophisticated or creepy & dangerous. Orange is vibrant and sesty. But orange and black can be perceived as danger or poison, so needs care to work. Black and green together can be toxic and dangerous, as a lot of horror movie posters take advantage of. Some greens are seen as toxic, sickening and repellent, but the right greens are welcoming and natural. Yellow is sunshine and happiness. Blue is indeed trustworthy and friendly. Grey can be sophisticated or boring. Brown is earthy or dirty, depending on use. Nice to know I still remember these things, off the bat. ;-)
@@UpFlip It is very interesting to hear the stories behind all and every type of business fair play and it is great to see such a variety of them profiled in such a detailed, in depth manner on your excellent channel. Thank you :-)
Hi, Thank you for all the great content you produce for us to help us be motivated and informed on how to get started on our business journey. 👍 However, I would like to know if you have interviewed or in process of interviewing an app start up company. I have an idea for a business but I am stuck on where to start. I'm looking for investment or investors for my startup. Can I reach out to you to discuss that further?
@@UpFlip I know I will. But I 'm new so trying to to catch up . I don't have an idea about what kind of videos you can make for I'm also trying to see what there is first. There is a slight difference on the available market and what people wants to do. But thanks for checking my comment.
Feb. 1, 2022 will be my one year anniversary of my business, and I have to say that this video has a LOT of gems💎! The section that stood out the most me was the “type of employees I need”. 🗣Subbed!
Good interview but his advice on using online crowd sourcing services to design your logo was bad advice. Using these services only attracts untrained designers usually from impoverished regions to design a "cookie cutter" logo that gets rehashed for multiple design comps and you the customer has to choose a logo without any form of professional advice. Using a local designer who is a consumer in your local market, who can advise you on how to brand your business in your local market and in-turn reinvest your money back into your local market place is always the best money you'll ever spend on your business. Having a good on-going working relationship with a local designer will always bring a serious return on investment year after year.
Your brand was right on up until the dog. The dog makes NO sense. Dogs destroy lawns. You broke your own rule !! Also, yellow creates anxiety. Green is good but bright yellow ? Maybe gold but that would look dirty. I love branding. I did learn a few things. Maybe think about losing the dog and the yellow. 🤔🤦♀️
Wow. Straight-up trademark infringement. Augustus and August, my butt. The images, thoughts, and emotions that his name and colors invoke are Augusta National Golf Club and the Master's Tournament. Augusta National Golf Club is known worldwide for its lush and beautifully manicured landscapes, so subconsciously, people connect the name and colors of his business with the likeness of the golf club and the tournament and may assume they are somehow affiliated. He openly admitted it. To further invoke deceitfulness, their slogan is, "We're Your Personal Greenskeeper." I find it hard to believe he hasn't received a cease and desist from Augusta National Golf Club for his deceptive practices. If he has he must have paid a good chunk of change to continue on.

Colors have a specific purpose, especially when it comes to using them in your brand. Pale blue is always used to convey trustworthiness
This is interesting Dario. Red is a good one for gaining attention as well. What's some other good colors for marketing?

Isn’t Augusta National (the masters) trade marked?
You can file your own trademark very easily you don’t need an attorney; I learned that in college.

Thank you both guys. And your personal brand, Mike?

You do a great job interviewing. Id like to ask ,Did mike pay you to do this video. Seems almost commercial with the b-roll
Not really. We'd love to get paid though! Lol kidding 😂
Do you have a business topic you want to see next on the channel?
Interesting talk. Design contests are a faux pas, though.

I understand. Sometimes a good way to cheaply get a bunch of ideas if you don’t have creative juices flowing 😀
