IMO the crew motorfest is the best buy right now as it’s on discount and you can get it for less than 20 bucks and the year 2 plans looks amazing especially with the offline mode that is coming out. 🎉🎉
@@iikraze9864 I love motorfest, but it has one major flaw. It suffers from the same issue as 90% of racing games. Everything is WAY too easy to get. 5 minutes in and you have hypercars already. I like when games make you grind from low tier to higher tier and high tier cars are expensive. TDUSC is the only modern racer that actually has a grind like that.

I think CarX Street wins easily, too, but the sales of TDU have been so low for months that you could buy a key for 28 bucks on certain sites so saying it's AAA-priced is only true for consoles or if you buy it directly from Steam.

The walking around and going to a dealership is what TDU is all about saying you wanna go to menus will go against what TDU is trying to be. I just hope the server issues has not had any long term effects on the player base of TDU as it really is a good game and does give me TDU 2 vibes. I hope they expand the car list in the future I remember flying around in TDU 2 in a subaru

Some info from a regular Car X Street player , if you like "Touge" Races get cXs they are doing races on C2 , if you like "Drift" get cXs C4 is you class , if you like "Drag" Races c6 is your class , Engine swaps, Drivetrain swaps and Transmission swaps, almost everything that you can imagine from a Racing game for $20 there is no lose here. Car X Street FTW
Props to the Devs at Car X, crazy their game is getting compared to more household AAA games abd the people aee showing them love, i hope it only gets better. I'll wait some months before playing it though, hopefully by then alot more patches are done for a better gaming experience.
On a note here. Regarding TDU SC having no customization. Call me crazy but I don't think the game will ever get them. Outside of what's already in game, the TDU series has always been like this no body. Tuning at all, just colors, rims and liveries. What you have right now it's. Probably the extend on how far it will go.
Very fair and balanced review. TDUSC being full retail and not finished and always online is really holding it back and many have commented the developer video is not making the confident they'll get it fixed and polished very quickly.

I have all the car games and Tdu is nice on Pc it looks great, problem is everything else is better in every way. And Carxstreet is by far the most surprising of the car game releases this year that and the Crew 2 and Motorfest getting offline mode. Easy win Carxstreet
Dude all I can say is that I am so glad I spend the $20 con CarX, it has been awesome, yes frustrating trying to figure out how to set up and tune my cars but so great, is like the best solo experience in my book, I do not like online gaming with other simple cause most people have bad connections and is always a problem it doesn't matter, but this game is so beautiful the ai is dirty as hell and I like that , do not sleep on them and the traffic oh man the traffic nothing like been in first and having some random hit your car so you have to be spot on. If you are a solo player like me and likes to grind and not get crap handed to you or beat a game in 5 hours this is the game for you.
Another thing I have 30 hours on TDU3 so far, thought handling was just OK, but shocking I downloaded the crew because all the hype and thought my controls where all messed up, its not, the difference in feeling is terrible, I cant belive how bad the crew handles. If you been playing TDU check out the crew, you will see what I mean.
If you're talking about the Crew Motorfest then yeah the handling is floaty/understeery and the default turning needs to be wayyy more responsive but from looking at both games TCM seems to edge out TDU a bit IMO TDU need major physics improvements as they go along as well! 🗣️🗣️🗣️

To add insult to injury, CarX Street is originally a mobile game while TDUSC isn't, yet if you see the progression system in each, one might even switch thinking TDUSC is the mobile game. The reason the comparison wasn't made was because the answer is obvious and everyone got duped because of slimmy marketing. Thank you for making this comparison!

Very different games. But I like CarX more. Has some old-school street-racing game (NFS: Underground1/2) vibe. I played TDU:SC about a week (early access) and lost interest. CarX other hand... I still play and enjoy. Gonna reset my progress at some point and start over.
I bought both but refunded TDUSC because the game cuts out my Moza R5 Bundle on hard input and I need to downshift to regain control. Unplayable. CarX Street may be less ambitious but it works just fine. I'll take a playable game any day :) I'll check out TDUSC again in a few months to see if they patched it. Won't wait with a paid product that I can't refund after two weeks.
I'm going to have to go with carX Street, by saying this. The console servers are horrible, and a bonus the lunch was pretty bad. I would rather pay the $20 in for like $75 or more just for a game that don't even work on launch.

Got a Solar Crown Steam code for $20. Not everything I hoped it would be out the box, but the potential is there. I bought both games for the price of 1, so cant really complain, and i can almost guarantee solar crown will get the update treatment. Horizon 5 is still the best open world arcade/sim-ish racer to me.....the map is just completely dead and boring. Honestly all they need to do for FH6 is make a much better open world, everything else is pretty much already there.
I have both games, but only play Car X. Why? Its not that I dislike TDU, its a amazing game but it currently has two major issues. 1. The requierments for graphics is INSAIN, they say a 2080 is 'recommended' in my experince it feels like barebone minimum requierment to just run the game combined with heavy FSR settings, low resolution and all details off. I hope they fix that somehow. 2. The AI in TDU is also Insain. I heared the AI partly is 3 minutes faster then the world record holder.... so if you dislike losing the majority of races against AI I think you should stay away andwait.... Also Car X Street is 15€ (20€ if you go for the Delux edition). That so hard to beat... I think I would recomment to get Car X Street have fun in it and wait a bit for KT Racing to fix TDU before trying that out. TDU has massiv potential and contains what a TDU should have but with this AI and graphic issues it sucks the fun right of my experince right now.
Just by looking at TDUSC vids i can tell the physics are ass. you're going fast af and cars are still agile like if they were only going 20mph. We know we like a bit of sense of speed but it's way too over exaggerated in this game.

You might want to go back and listen to my summary. Also, CarX came out a week before TDUSC, thus I have 4 videos on CarX and none on TDUSC, yet. Also test drive is a much more grindy game and I do not rush my content out there. I learn the mechanics and put out thoughtful, helpful content. That takes time to research and make. You’ll see some TDUSC videos in the future.
Motorfest is the game u play once u are bored with the others games. Motorfest is fun to explore and drive around. They just need to imporve/adjust the drifting and finally add that rims colors
Solar crown is rubbish at the moment but I feel like you have fundamental misunderstood what TDU is about, it’s meant to be immersive with walking about dealerships and houses etc they have dropped the ball with this iteration and carx is wayyyy better of a game, but yeah I don’t think you get it
I absolutely understand what TDU is…but those features make the game less enjoyable to me. It’s just an opinion, not a matter of understanding their intention.
When the price tags in my country is 20$ for TDU and 15$ for CarX I will just pick TDU. I believe they should support it better in a long term scenario. Also lack of pvp is important, if there's no such you will just lose interest after going through the very same races over and over again.
are you serious... is this even a ? The Crew Motorfest is on a whole other level than TDU. TCM is the best open world car game to date. TDU is very limited in cars, car types, planes, boats... ect. TDU is a much bigger grind fest and it seems like there is a lot of time wasted running around and not driving. TDU is not there yet... maybe someday, but definitely not in the near term based on the future updates and road map they have presented.

yeah no i can agree TDU has problems, but carx drive is just not even close to be the same quality. the physics are not good, very drift oriented, because it's just carx drift in open world. the grind is boring and tedious, all races are pretty much the same thing. all clubs are pretty much the same and you just do the same thing again and again and again to finish a club, just to do another club that's exactly the same. there's barely any story and it's bad. it really feels like a mobile game more than a full fledged pc game. because that's what it first is. the only good thing is the map and the visuals are cool (but both of these are better in TDU) just wait a bit for TDU to be fixed and buy it
Like I said in the video, the depth of the car building systems in Carx are much better than TDU. There is very deep upgrade and customization options. It’s the superior option if building cars is what you’re after. But I do think TDU is a more complete experience. Not saying it IS complete, but more so than Carx.
"TDU2 will be a better experience long-term." In 5 years from now, TDU2 won't be playable due to server shutdown and the online only requirements. CarX street on the other hand will.

Body customizations have been reported to be on the horizon coming from the dev team and AlexVII. Im very interested to see what they come up with.

If you want crap physics with an invasive drift assist that cannot be turn off. TDUSC's physics are leaps and bounds better.
yeah no i can agree TDU has problems, but carx drive is just not even close to be the same quality. the physics are not good, very drift oriented, because it's just carx drift in open world. the grind is boring and tedious, all races are pretty much the same thing. all clubs are pretty much the same and you just do the same thing again and again and again to finish a club, just to do another club that's exactly the same. there's barely any story and it's bad.
it really feels like a mobile game more than a full fledged pc game. because that's what it first is.
the only good thing is the map and the visuals are cool (but both of these are better in TDU)
just wait a bit for TDU to be fixed and buy it
Like I said in the video, the depth of the car building systems in Carx are much better than TDU. There is very deep upgrade and customization options. It’s the superior option if building cars is what you’re after. But I do think TDU is a more complete experience. Not saying it IS complete, but more so than Carx.
"TDU2 will be a better experience long-term." In 5 years from now, TDU2 won't be playable due to server shutdown and the online only requirements. CarX street on the other hand will.

Not to mention that CarX is available on other platforms with offline support and offline servers (via scene groups) are already possible.
