Trace it so you can get right to the painting without getting frustrated with the drawing. Drawing skills are important but I end up tracing the images I draw onto watercolor paper anyway. Just enjoy!

Your work is so inspiring. I so h,ave had such a block and was so frustrated with my own recent efforts, but you helped me regain my passion. It would really help if you would consider telling us WHY you've chosen to use a certain color or shade of paint (or even a particular brand)-- whether its strictly is pigment/color, or its granulating/ staining properties, etc. It would help to learn the intrinsic qualities of watercolor paint itself. Looking forward to your next video!
