Valve springs are scary the first time. Started my 1ZZ engine tech rebuild this morning. So far so good! Pretty nice kit for the price. Had a couple small issues with the kit but overall got the job done. If you're curious I've posted a short video of the first start!
If using that type of valve spring compressor, I've ALWAYS put a zip tie at the bottom end to hold the prongs in. Just a little added protection so you are not worrying about flinging the spring into something that hurts. Just have to just the zip tie once installed.
Hey Dale shouldn’t of you cleaned the rust off the outside of that head before painting it? Also doesn’t look like when they got tanked that head that they got the topside very clean? Anyways awesome vid as always man 👍🤘
I would think the oil seals that had the metal on the outside would be more efficient since the metal encases the rubberish gasket. The ones you used seem like they could easily break or give? Interested how it works out.
Hello, I follow your channel since years congrats for great work and grow. I have a question, what motor oil grade you recommend me for a Jeep YJ 95 with 163k Miles?
Not sure if I missed it in a previous video, but did you replace the valve guides?

Yeah. Definitely a learning curve with doing springs
Digging this video. Gotta love the 4.0
Cool. Thanks!
Another great video Dale! Be careful of spring missiles!
Haha! No doubt

Yeah, it looks a little rough, but its clean.
Were the "easier" valve seals part of the EngineTech kit, or sourced somewhere else? If so... Where? Thanks.
From enginetech as well

5:20 Why didn't you use new valves stems with your new springs?
How did you clean the valve stems?
Oven cleaner 👍
Do you sell the jeep solid stickers and how would I obtain one
Yes! They should be linked with my merchandise below my video. Or on my channel. Thanks for the support!!
i was fully expecting you to throw that spring out cause it touched the ground and hold up 2 weeks for a replacement to come in
That's not a bad idea.. humm. Maybe I'll go disassemble it..

Thanks for following along over the years!! I usually use Castrol or Quaker State synthetic blend 10w-30
can someone give me the link or tell me the story behind the intro where he gets chased by a cop? I'm new to the channel
He fought the law, and the law won?
He shot the Sheriff but he did not shoot the Deputy.
It's not just the word lube, it is how you say it. It sounds like you like the word too much. LOL.
Haha! Lots of lube on the rebuild.
You say "lube" a lot. Not sure how that makes me feel.
Yeah.. Rebuild requires a lot of lube 👍
Nothing wrong with being nice and lubed 😂😂
Wow, that head does not look clean at all....
All you did was paint over the gunk? You did not even prep the surface- Dislike.
