At 10:29, you used price of hotel or resort, they are so expensive, if you spent time talk to local people (Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang, HCM city), you can find a room to rent more cheaper.
Hello KT, I just found your channel and the content is great. I'll be retiring in Vietnam. I married a Vietnamese lady and we are very happy together. We spent the summer in Ho Chi Minh city ( District 1) Vietnam and I was as amazed at how friendly everyone was! My wife and I are now planning for our retirement in Vietnam. I will be back and watch more of your videos. Keep up the great work.
So excited to find you. I have been following several other channels about retiring in Vietnam and truly appreciate your honest and extremely detailed information. Also love your authenticity laced with great details!! Super helpful! ~ Maureen
I have made three trips back to Vietnam since I was a soldier there during the war. The first was in 2013 I stayed for two weeks in 2023 I spent too much traveling throughout Southeast Asia and in early 2024 I spent nearly 3 months in Vietnam. If they develop a retirement visa I'll be there one week later! It is a beautiful country with very warm and welcoming people. I have traveled from the farthest point south to the farthest point north and I have never felt in danger. I have always been welcomed. I'll be going back in 2025 for at least two months.unless, of course, they create a retirement visa in which case I'll stay!
I will join you too my new friend, but I’m allergic to the big city like Saigon, Ha Noi etc… I love Ha Long Bay the Fish Village in Cac Ba surrounding by water and mountains which I can wake up every morning to that, and I don’t have to carry my gun everyday anytime I go out.
moved here in semi retirement just over a week ago... am down in Saigon though! roll on the retirement visa!! in the meantime a 3-5 days to week away every 3 months isn't so bad! plenty of places to visit nearby!!
Get a sponsored business visa for Laos using a contact/agent, thats it done about $500 to initiate and $300 annually. Get a retirement visa for Cambodia $290 using a travel agent thats it done, no financial evidence. Get a retirement visa for Thailand using an agent, $600 no financial evidence but must report aadress every 90 days (use agent online). No need to leave the house, all done online using email or mobile Line app. Its my assumption the main direct methods are their to internationally enforce a strict application process and deter undesirables. Agents use immigration liaison officers, same language and simplify the process for all at a non bank bursting price.
I'm retired Vietnamese American, always wanted to go back to South East Asian to retire for affordable and nice weather 😊. Penang or Saigon, any suggestions 😊
Question please: I have a Master but its not in education, can i teach english in schools or international school ? Someone told me tha i only can teach in langage centers? Thanks a lot to let me know
Any academic school requires that the minimum qualifications is that you have a Teaching License to prove that you are a teacher. Private language schools are different
So, outside of setting up a business structure, there's not a way to retire there? In retirement, the last thing I want to do is work..that's the whole goal of retirement Good information in this video though
The visa is still being debated. Rumour has it that they want retirees with $4000 EACH, so its $8000 per couple. Crazy to put it mildly. If they will implement that, Vietnam, once again, will be at the very end of the cue.
Retirement visa in the pipeline but rumours within the immigration department is that it will be based on monthly retirement pensions exceeding $4000 per month. This is grossly exaggerated but it’s been pitched at wealthy expats instead. Details to come out end of this year in preparation for launch in 2025/26.
Yup...I heard the same. If they insist on $4000 a month I wish them luck.....Nobody in his right mind with that kind of pension will sign up. Malaysia, Thailand and especially Cambodia are going to laugh all the way to the bank.....those 3 lowered the threshold dramatically.
Married is a dead wish in any country my friend. I’m married now for the same wonderful wife for 20 years and together for 26 total. She is the main reason that I can’t retire in Vietnam yet 😩
Well, that is indeed not native … passport doesn’t make you speak or write on the native level. Try to pass TESOL and see. From the little you wrote, you could improve your grammar and punctuation (not to be mean).
Thank you for the wonderful content the information how to retired in Vietnam. Retirement VISA is very challenging to Vietnam Government due to the threaten of invasion from the northern border. The chinese government is always looking for the opportunity to send their people to Vietnam, have a lot of babies and educated these babies in the chinese way, once they are old enough to will be the politicians of Vietnam from inside out and taking over control of the country without a single bullet. As you can see the impact of the chinese caused in Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and many more. Maybe the Vietnam Government can accept 15:39 the Retirement VISA from all countries other than china.
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family...
@JoeWhitewqsdF Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me. This is where an AI comes into the picture. I barely have time to trade myself as my job swallows up most of my time. *MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY* , a licensed fiduciary whom has made me over 5 figures in profit in less than seven months, handles my investments. I could leave you a lead if you need help.

Unfortunately, you are not the preferred visible demographic for teaching jobs in Vietnam. The country is gradually, but surely, prioritizing certain demographics. As more Westerners arrive, the availability of jobs for you will decrease, or the salaries offered will be significantly lower in comparison. Your days in Vietnam are limited.
I strongly disagree with you. 1) Are you in Vietnam atm? Do you know what's happening with retirement visas here? Housing market here? Nothing wrong with letting people know about their options, what's your issue?

In retirement, the last thing I want to do is work..that's the whole goal of retirement
Good information in this video though
Do you have a link where I can purchase healthcare insurance for $60 per month? I appreciate it.
No, you will need to go to one of the websites and apply. I'll send you something
I am interested in Vietnam. Have you learned the language?
I'm currently learning Vietnamese
No temporary residence which may lead to permanent residence
You could get a tourist visa which is temporary or get a Work permit

Also you can retire in Vietnam if you are legally married to a Vietnamese person.
This is true

😂 that sucks. Retire already 😂😂😂
Good video but you don’t need a financial advisor to tell you that Vietnam is WAY cheaper and offers a better quality of living than America.
Thanks. Agreed you don't, just need to help set up your future if that's your thing.

Not a good place for retirees, nothing to see or do in Vietnam, go to Thailand please 😂, keep it value for money here for me!
There's a lot to see and do in Vietnam, but Thailand is Adult playground. Vietnam can't compare but it's better (Vietnam) in my opinion.
They do not have Retirement Visa.
They need to establish Retirement Visa and stop telling people to invest or buy real estate.
First thing first !
I strongly disagree with you. 1) Are you in Vietnam atm? Do you know what's happening with retirement visas here? Housing market here? Nothing wrong with letting people know about their options, what's your issue?
